Chapter 202 - Murderous intentions?

After bidding Xue goodbye Aile, Sara and Sophie left. A few turns in, the sweet bread that have remained in Aile's hand after buying them were taken away sneakily and swiftly by Sara. Subsequently, it was just the three of them, Aile felt more at ease too. His relationship with Xue was recent, and he did not want to make her feel awkward by starting to coax the two girls in front of her. He also wanted to satisfy and deal with Sara and Sophie in private, not in front of people they did not know very well. Sara, stealing the sweet bread, gave him the opportunity to start a conversation with them. Now Aile and Sara had walked quite a distance and Aile was surprised by how far they went.

Sighing audibly, Aile started monologuing, "I am glad that you at least like sweets. I was worried... I thought you were not the cute Sara I knew. The person that I waited for every morning... So that we could hug and so that I could hear her cheerfully, patiently and sweetly tell me stories and news of what was happening... And dragging me forcefully to eat sweet bread every week and tricking me... to check on every stall in the market... " Sigh, "Now she does not like me and does not even want to talk to me."

Hearing him, Sara shook a little before starting to speak.

"Idiot... It is your fault for hating me... If you liked talking to me.. why did you not visit me in three years..." said Sara angrily. She lightly hit Aile and continued while Aile could hear her voice change because she was sobbing, "Why did you not even come to me when you know I was going to die?"

"Why did you make mom absorb something and-and that made me weaker..."

"Why do you kiss others and you do not even send me a letter?"

"It is all your fault, idiot..."

Fortunately, they were about to enter a room by this time and entering the beautifully scented room with two distinct smells, Aile figured out it was their room. However, he did not have the chance to look around. What Sara said surprised him. It seemed that a hard conversation was ahead of him. Aile did not know from where she got her information, but her conclusions were false.

Getting Sara and Sophie to sit down, he decided to tell them most of the stuff that happened. He did not want them to come up with the wrong conclusions like he was harming her as a result of the petals of the nether flower. He told her about how he found out about the problem when both, Sara and Hazel, fainted and fell into each other's embrace. Then how he put his effort to finish his seclusion quickly to be able to solve the problem. The first attempt of the cure was the soul-nether petal, which ended in the reverse effect. Aile apologized. He was at fault, and he knew that the petal had caused them to live for less time, making him even more determined to find a solution.

Sara interjected and said, "Why did you not send a petal to me, maybe if my soul gets stronger, then I can resist better!"

"And what if it makes it easier for both pieces of souls to find each other. I do not want anything to happen to the both of you."

Sara realized that there was indeed a possibility of such a thing happening. She was reassured of his efforts and his consideration to their safety.

Aile continued and explained his other attempts and the one that had been partially successful and somewhat delayed the merger of the soul. Which was the mesh-like structure that he created in Hazel's soul. Aile also told her that there is some hope of finding a solution soon. That old lady did mention she had some answer, and if he could not find anything that would be the only solution. It was just that she said when you have no place to go, then you should come and visit me. Aile is still not at that stage yet.

Sara wanted to ask about his relationship with others. She had seen him kiss quite a few people through the shared experience with Hazel feeling intense jealousy.

However, Sara saw the slumped shoulder of Sophie, and she knew that Sophie was feeling sad as she had not fulfilled her role as his maid to help him when he needed it. After all, Aile had to face so many hardships alone while she was having fun here. She also knew that the conversation did not include her so far, so Sara would bring her into the mix, before bringing Aile's different relationships.

She also wanted to get an ally against Aile's escapades before bringing the topic up. Sara gained back some of her previous cheerful attitude, and she said, "So what do you miss about Sophie?"

Sophie lowered her head when she heard Sara.

"Oh, I missed her a lot, she was the one that understood me best and knew what I wanted without saying anything. Without her company, my training became joyless. I was no longer greeted by her smile after finishing them. I miss her always setting behind me so that we could become each other's support and rest on each other... And I miss... And I miss...." Aile's monologue continued until Sara felt a little jealous and brought the topic of his relationships. Sophie, too, had gained back her confidence after the long list of things that Aile missed about her. As both of them concentrated on what Aile was going to say.

Aile avoided the topic and Sara came up with another thing that made Aile flustered.

"See Sophie, he clearly hates us! He has not even asked us to take out the veils. I guess he really does not care about us!"

Aile could not bring this up before, as it was not the correct time considering what they were talking about. Aile had to smile at them to continue and remove their veils.
