Chapter 0160 - Swan Song of the Vampire Queen (2)

Left with no choice, The Queen's body contorted and convulsed. A blood fountain appeared behind her, it was flooding the air in the zone, reaching outward. Khan Ni's venom was seeping into the other shoulder. Telepathically, she communicated her resolve with Zhan.

the Queen's concentration was broken, Ibuwere and the rest of the Zao forces had regained control over their bodies.

The Queen cried out "REDDEN!!"

Large amounts of the World Tree's Pollen were clotting the Blood fountain, it fell in clumps to the ground and was used as a fertilizer.

the fountain surged behind the queen and flushed toward the battlefield, pushing everyone back and peppering bits of toxic blood clots in every direction.

Ho took the opportunity and destroyed the Red Devil Beast that was closest to him, they kept multiplying but thanks to the reinforcements he was able to rejoin the Emperor quickly.

Wu Hai was battering the Vampire Lord with the Creators Crusher, it did a lot of damage to Redden's body.

'Another strike,' Lord Eddingar spun around, his focus was turned back to the Emperor. "FEE..BLE" He spoke slowly like a dry rag doll.

Kuzunoha threw out the enchanted scroll, trying to purify Redden's blood soaked body. A dark portal, a hell portal stood behind him.

"Don't let him escape." Ibuwere had seen such portals before, he warned everyone. Then joined Kuzunoha's side. "Cocoon him, don't let him escape."

Lord Eddingar's attention was solely focused on the Emperor, his many strikes had kept him from his beloved.

Khan Ni and Zhan were still clinging to the Queen's body, Zhan was trusting his tail into her body repeatedly searching for her Core. It happened in an instant. The Blood fountain started to fall on them all, Zhan, Khan Ni and the Queen. It was a searing effect, harsh and acidic. The Queen's body started to regenerate faster. Khan Ni saw the effects of the World Tree's healing, it was doing little to stop the Queen from regenerating as it was doing before.

-("We've got to get her core out. Zhan.. ") Khan Ni saw a branch of the World Tree worming itself across the battlefield. She could sense its cooperation, it hung overhead, shielding them from the rain, purifying it as it fell.

The Queen cried out again. "THINK THIS CAN STOP ME!?"

'Tink' Zhan's tail struck something metallic. He pulled at it. Tendrils of black and purple colored blood hissed while they were holding on to the core. A tiny black and pink rock shaped like a human heart.

Zhan pulled at it furiously, it wasn't letting go. The Tree was withering above them. Zhan hugged the Queen's body and leapt away, tearing the core from the Queen's body.

Then it happened, Xue started to cough up blood.

Zhan put the heart away, he wanted to crush it but the Alchemy lab could think of much more cruel method for vengeance.

"NO!!" A shout came from above. Lord Eddingar could feel the changes in his bride, they had maintained a psychic link that was severed. It happened so fast that he hadn't realized that he was busy fighting the Emperor.

The Creators Crusher came crashing down on his head. The Vampire Lord's head had been crushed into a fine paste, its body pulled back and another head started to grow.

Redden's body swung the Axes while it flew toward the Hell Portal.

"STOP HIM" Kuzunoha's scroll was still wrapped around Lord Eddingar's body, it was having a hard time, the blood from the Vampire Lord's body was covering the scrollwork, staining it, weakening it.

Lord Eddingar plunged toward the blood pool.

Wu Hai dove toward him, he was pulled inside along with Lord Eddingar. The Magic Scroll was still in Kuzunoha's hand, it started to pull her inside. Ho was quick to act. He severed the magical bond between them, Kuzunoha fell backward and the portal closed.

"What the fuck, WHAT THE FUCK!. YOU. .WHY.. WHY.. WHY DID YOU SEVERE IT!" Kuzunoha stood up, pissed, furious. Ho was to blame, she pounded on his chest and began to cry.

"We don't have time, we have to go back outside and clean up this battle. The rest of the battleground is still fighting. Xue. What happened with Xue?" Ho used his movement abilities and arrived next to his Brother.

'Xue.' His niece was laying there, half dead, bleeding all over and unconscious. "Hold on to her. MIKE, you're in charge for now. Finish up this battle and then come back to the Sect." Ho channeled his teleportation sequence, they vanished.

The Castle at the Sect was quiet, everyone was busy tending to normal business. The black spot and pressure changes that were a precursor to a teleportation spell started in the Throne Room.

The ball grew and four figures emerged. Zhan was still holding Xue's body, she was convulsing. Her body went pale and her eyes began to roll.

Khan Ni started to pray for the return of her husband. The World Tree had given them help in the pocket dimension. She knelt on the ground beside Zhan and Xue's body.

Ho disappeared for just a moment then returned. In his hands were one of the Ancient Healing potions that Wu Hai had left for the Patriarch.

"Give this to her" As he appeared, he handed it to Zhan.

Zhan poured some into her lips and a little some over the wound. Then, when she had swallowed, he gave her the rest. 'Please work.' Zhan bowed his head.

Rachael burst into the throne room hysterically and knelt beside Khan Ni, Xue and Zhan.. Her cries and wailing could be heard clear across the Castle. More people started to come into the Castle to find the source of the screaming. When they heard the name being screamed out, they all came running.

Floating among some blood and bones that seemed scattered in every direction, Wu Hai searched for Lord Eddingar. When he locked eyes on him, Wu Hai grew cold. There was no forgiveness for the Vampire Lord, his bride and the forces that came in the night to kidnap his niece. 'DIE' The singular thought ran through the Emperor's mind.

Striking Redden between the shoulder blades was the correct action, a black sphere, no larger than a thumb nail was hiding among the severed tendons. As his back regenerated between strikes, Lord Eddingar tried turning away.

Wu Hai flipped over to Light Elemental and sent his energy into the Creators Crusher. A blinding reaction took place, the blood around him that was floating in the air dissipated like a lie and Zao Wu Hai used the creators crusher to destroy the Vampire Lords abdomen, severing his head. The Magic Scroll was still attached to Lord Eddingar's lower body.

Wu Hai grabbed it and sank his light energy into it, the scroll started to crush the body of the Vampire Lord. Slowly, it kept compressing. Each time that Redden regenerated his head, Wu Hai crushed it and tore another appendage off. 'Regenerate that!' The Emperor spit on the slippery sludge that clung to the air around the crusher's impact site. "FEE-BLE, My ass." Wu Hai poured a lot more energy into the Scroll, quickening its pace.

In the distance, he could feel a few other auras tuning into his location. Lord Eddingar's Core was exposed after the sixth strike. Wu Hai picked it out and crushed it. He put the pieces away, switched back to his darkness elemental form and started to channel the teleportation sequence.

As one of the other energy sources arrived, Wu Hai vanished, a collapse of space behind him marked his disappearance.

The Emperor reappeared in the Pocket Dimension, everyone was still standing around.

"What happened to you?" Kuzunoha ran up, crying and pounding on Wu Hai's chest. "Don't do that to me. Where you go, I go!" She looked down, Wu Hai had her scroll in his hand. She smiled and placed her head against his chest. "Don't leave me again."

"I won't." Wu Hai kissed the top of her head and looked at the spot where Xue had been, his heart was sinking.

He gave out some more orders to the Loose Espers surrounding them. Speaking to Guzhe and Ibuwere, he got them to do the grunt work. "We should collect all of our forces and go back to the Sect. I'm returning to the first portal. Use the bulk of our forces as clean up, take everything and lets go. They have 10 minutes."

Wu Hai challenged himself, he stood firm. He wasn't completely sure what had happened, but he felt like he was in Hell. That place, it reminded him of everything he'd ever heard on the matters concerning Hell. The Screaming. 'Now I know the way. This fight isn't over. Not by a Longshot.' Wu Hai grabbed Kuzunoha, recovered the Crusher from the ground next to them and teleported them back to the first portal.

The Ground forces were doing a good job of containing the remaining vampires and bloodspawn. Some of the Green Devils were present near the Dimensional Rift.

Wu Hai looked to Kuzunoha, they both knew they had to clean things up before they leave.
