Chapter 0215 - Formation Array in the Starlit Dimension

The large Kentao was rapidly growing, Wu Hai looked over at the Astradon directly afterward and saw that Veltin too was under the same sort of power infusion. The air in the Blood Theater changed, there was a serenity in its tone. The roar of the blood rain ceased, replaced by the melodic sound of showers, 'tip tip tip.'

The once bloody rain was now just a pleasant downpour but the rain was no longer so dark and full of color. Its red exterior turned to a watery translucence, carrying with it the circulated soul energies of the 37 Truthers.

'Screw this, I'm not going to just wait by the side.' Wu Hai took the place of one of the truthers who was about to fall over, she was grateful for the reprieve. He slit his hand open and forced down a few potions and then began to channel. As the liquefied elemental darkness, lightning and fire began to accumulate, there was a change in its consistency and it worried the Emperor greatly.

The once running liquid was now thick and sticky, bit of a grainy like texture could be felt against the currents of energy, stirring it up. None of that mattered now, as soon as he had a lump in his hand, it began to overrun his fingers and drizzle into the pool. As it churned with the others, the Bloodpools color also changed, regaining some of its blood like color. The moment the sticky essence diluted into the pool there was a qualitative change as well.

Hana's screaming came to an all time high and the rain gathered its pace. The Energy rain was revitalizing but the Truthers were expending all their energy in a mad rush to fulfill their leaders request.

"{These Familiars are quite interesting..}" 'This beast is much too large for this place.' Vira walked over to the Emperor and grabbed at his body, pilfering his bag of rings. "{Don't worry, I'm not robbing you.}" The look on her face was deceiving but gentle in that instance.

Wu Hai could care less, if she really did do something as unreasonable and untimely as robbing him in this moment, he would have no problem or regrets in killing her. He smiled and sunk his concentration further into making essence. Hana's condition was going through changes, none of them knew whether it was good or bad.

Vira fumbled through the rings and found several from when Wu Hai had been excavating, large amounts of debris were inside. '{This should do}' Placing the ring on her fingertip she walked to the edge of the island and started to unload its contents. She walked in a large circle, almost walking the existing perimeter of the blood theater. When she came back around, they were still busy trying to stabilize Hana. 'There is a lot of time,' Vira reassured herself, at least, in her opinion there was still plenty of time.

When she was sure the circle was thick enough, she grabbed another ring and continued her deposits.

"No...N-ngh." A whispering moan came from Hana's mouth, it was the first thing she had said for some time. Every strand of her concentration had been sunk into maintaining her alertness and consciousness.

The rain continued to come down harder as the time passed. When it suddenly turned into a swell, everyone's attention turned to Vira.

She was standing by the large blood crystal and had just finished her preparations. She dropped something onto the large shack sized crystal that had once been cleaved in two and it separated again, cleaving in half like a ripe melon. They laid there like the open ended bowls cupped toward the sky, Starlight began to filter down because of the rise in soul essence and then Vira began to write runes.

They were not ordinary runes but they were not particularly special, their only real function was to centrifuge the contents inside its area of effect. The crystal bowls began to rapidly rotate, they got faster and faster until they were nearly a blur. Vira flew out of the center immediately, avoiding the tidal force of their spinning motion.

When the centrifuge force from the two halves began to whirl, the rain slowed significantly.

"{You can probably thank me later.}" Vira winked at the Emperor, her timing was, as always, inappropriate.

Wu Hai felt like jeering at her but he hadn't been paying attention to what she was going in the background. Vira cut her wrist and a deep crimson blood, much like the one she'd used on the contract between them, came from her body. 'What are you doing?' He wanted to ask but noticed that his production of essence was slipping.

She pointed directly toward the sky and began to charge her energy, motes of red and purple began to accumulate into a large ball that sparkled. 'Why am I doing this? It's not like I..' She stopped herself, feeling like her own thoughts were a lie, it confused her for a moment. When the ball of energy was several times the size of her body, its dazzling effects began to overshadow the Princess's luster.

She jumped from her position and slammed her palms against its base and sent it into the space above them. At a certain height, it split into seven hundred strands that landed equally space on the outer most ring of debris. Deep impressions were cut into its surface while the pressure of the beams heated its surface to a fine glass like surface.

'Is she?' The Empress looked on at Vira, she didn't know what she was doing but it was on a massive scale. To Kuzunoha, the manner that Vira was acting almost made her seem like she cared about the outcome. Vira's actions actually managed to impress Kuzunoha and she began to form a favorable opinion about her.

'Formation?' Zao Ooran was no fool, he flew into the sky as high as he could go and looked down at the continually forming spell circle below. 'Channel, flag, flag, flag.. … flag, redirect, what is this?' Vira was almost done with her next spell line and once it connected there was a distinct alteration in the dimension.

The Energy stopped swirling.

All of it.

Then, she pulled out a small black orb from the ring she had snagged from Wu Hai's finger. 'This is too important to him to fail, I like his confidence. Lets see if its worth my troubles.' Vira tossed the black sphere that was covered with cracks into the centrifuge. It hung in place at the center like a nucleus and began to draw the halves back together like a strange form of gravity.

When the two halves collided, a great wave of energy burst out an into the dimension. Golden light came from all of the people that were participating, the truthers, Hana, Kuzunoha and even the Emperor. Dissait, the Astradon and Kentao experienced it too, although not as greatly.

The light was blinding.

Mike shielded his eyes and Ho looked on in wonder.

The blood stream currents had turned a vivid purple and carried hints of fire that seemed to purify the blood with the starlight.

The Dimensional space had once again regained its momentum but in an entirely different direction, it drew in the starlight, the blood, the elemental essence and even the other lingering energies toward the centrifuge formation.

Within the Array, Vira was still making fine adjustments. About half an hour later, she had completed the outer circle and was beginning to work the details of the inside of the formation. Wu Hai stopped what he was doing, the essence that was falling to the pool was no longer falling, instead, it rose to the air and flowed along a current toward the Nexus's convergence point, ultimately being drawn into the Crystal.

'Proximity doesn't matter anymore?' He shrugged off his hesitation and flew to her side. "Vira, what sort of formation array is this?"

"{I don't know, I cobbled it together and it seems to be working. You have a lot of materials, which makes this look easy.}" Vira stopped talking and concentrated on the runes being laid along the conduit channels in the monolithic formation plate. "{It should be completed in about another hour}" She wiped the sweat from her brow and went back to what she was doing.

'I never said it looked easy..' The Emperor was grateful and thankful that he had put his trust and faith in her, the blood falls were an astounding feat but the changes that had developed since Vira had laid down the formation were much more suited for the long term. The violent aura that was once present was now much closer to a harmonizing undulation. "You'll have to share the details when this is over."

Flying back down, Wu Hai noticed Kuzunoha's expression change for the better and he looked up.

Hana was opening her eyes again and the screaming had subsided. She was still cringing from the pain but it wasn't so bad that she was forced to cry out. She could see her father, her vision had started to clear and her bloodshot eyes had started to come into focus. "Th.." She started to speak but her throat was coarse, she couldn't continue.

"Don't try to talk, just absorb the energy in the area." Wu Hai passed a potion to Hana and watched her down its contents. Her voice came back but she chose to wait to speak, there were a lot of changes happening around and inside of her. All of it left her in a state that was indescribable.

"Bond with a Demon you say, it will be good you say. Well! This hurt a lot more than you said it would!" Hana's face was twisted, she was angry. What she had just experienced was the greatest pain she had ever felt in her life, it drove her to the brink and she almost didn't come back. "Thank you."

As if her batteries had run out, Hana flopped down into the dirt basin of the Bloodpool.

The Bloodpool wasn't producing anymore but there was a drastic change in the dimension and the continual feed of the Bloodfalls was no longer required. So much energy had been consumed by the Crystal at the Nexus that it was radiating power and that power was on the rise. The Purple ethereal nature of the Starlit dimension had regained dominance, the power of the Stars and Soul combined into a potent mixture.

Bloodgrasses in the dimensional space began to release the sound of heartbeats, under the power of the stars, they all began to bloom and seed. Flowers pricked out, sharp and thirsty. Bloodgrass was already rare and the dimension had so much of it, when it started to flower and seed, there were innumerable lights.

The space grew bright and the sound grew louder.

A thunder crack from no where struck the Bloodgrass that had been nurtured with primarily liquefied lightning essence, another caught fire but didn't burn, one began to sweat a sweet smell and then a myriad of effects began to play out before everyone present. Dozens of different energy patterns and effects were on display, they were acting like they had been struck with a catalyst. Their inner most traits began to blister into seeds which clung to their stalks.

Wu Hai and Ho were intrigued, they went their separate ways and gathered some of the seeds from around the space. Neither of them dared to pluck a stalk but the seeds were plentiful, soon more than a hundred seeds were in each of their hands. "I've never seen Bloodgrass with elemental effects or affinity."

"These seeds have souls." Ho tumbled seven seeds in his palm, they were giving off a pink and purple light.

Hana was still passed out, Ooran had laid her out on the table and the truthers had their hands placed on her body, working in unison to resolve any lingering issues.

"This place seems like its going through another change, I bet when we come again it won't even be the same as it is now." Wu Hai wanted to store the seeds away but he noticed that his ring was missing. "VIRA!" He called out and she came over.

"I told you, I wasn't robbing you." She smiled and passed everything over. "You can check my body if you think I'd take without asking." Her hands ran down her body and followed the sewn lines of her armor.

"Maybe later. Now that Hana's in recovery, we need only wait. I want to resolve the issue with the Demon Region sooner than later. When she wakes up, we will have our own matters to attend. Make sure to connect with your step-daughter before we leave." He paused. "Actually, do whatever you want to do.. I won't force you." Waving his hand, Wu Hai knew that there was no need to force her, the actions of the Demon Queen just earlier had proved that she had matured in a direction he could live with, even if it was only a little.
