Under The Starry Night Sky

"I'm going to go take a bath." Lia says, Going to her closet, she selects some pajamas and lays them out on the bed. This time, from her spatial ring, she pulls out a… white bathtub? She leaves it in one corner of the cave, and with some towels, and metal poles, puts up a makeshift curtain.

At this point, Lin Ke felt as if everything he knew about this world was turning upside down. Having kitchen appliances was one thing, but why did she have an ENTIRE BATHTUB? Just what was Master Sal thinking? That even if Lia was to be in trouble, even if she was on the run, a BATHTUB was essential. In fact, Lin Ke was starting to think that Lia's spatial ring was stealing things from an appliance store…

This led to another thought. Where was the water going to come from? Did Lia need to go get some from the stream? However, this thought was overly naive from Lin Ke, as almost immediately after thinking that, Lin Ke hears the sound of water pouring into the bathtub.

Taking a deep breath, Lin Ke walks out of the brightly lit cave and walks outside to get some fresh air. Pulling a chair out with him, he sat down and watched the starry night sky. There were shiny stars in the night sky, and the moon was starting to wane, but was still relatively full. Looking up at the night sky, hearing the sound of crickets in the forest, the sound of water rushing past underneath him, Lin Ke felt extremely comfortable and relaxed. Closing his eyes, he basked in the refreshing breeze and the fresh air.

"The sky sure is beautiful out here isn't it?" someone suddenly says.

Lin Ke opens his eyes and looks behind him to see Lia standing behind him. Her hair was still slightly wet, and she was wearing a pair of pink pajamas. Lin Ke couldn't help but stare at her, as she looked so cute.

Lia, under Lin Ke's intense gaze, turned a little red. "Lin Ke… Can you not stare at me like that? It's a little embarrassing."

Lin Ke turns away quickly, slightly embarrassed for being so rude. "Sorry."

"Nnn. It's okay." Lia replies as she pulls up a chair next to Lin Ke. She looks up and stares at the bright moon. For a few minutes, they sit in silence, just gazing up at the stars.

Lia finally reaches her hand up towards the moon, and the scene that Lin Ke had seen the day earlier reappeared. The bright light from the moon flowed down into Lia's hands, forming a bright white sphere of light, before taking the shape of a beautiful, delicate white flower.

Lin Ke watches Lia in wonder, as her hair turned the same pearly white it had yesterday night, and as she carefully cradled the flower in her hands. The light from the flower illuminated her face, showing the melancholic smile that was on her face. Her features were being basked in the moonlight, highlighted by the colors of the bright moon. Watching such a beautiful scene so close up, Lin Ke couldn't help but feel his heart speed up a little.

"You look so amazing…" Lin Ke couldn't help but blurt out.

"Eh?" Lia looked at Lin Ke in surprise before blushing and looking down at the flower in her hand again. "I- Thank you, Lin Ke." She said.

Awkwardly, they sat under the starry night sky, each lost in their own thoughts, thinking of who knows what.

Finally, Lia interrupts the silence. "Lin Ke? When are we heading back? Where will we go after this?"

Lin Ke thinks about it for a moment. "We're going to be visiting all of the Sacred Lands. We can leave once I fix the teleportation array that's apparently here."

Lia pauses for a moment. "Can't Lily teleport us out of here?"

Lin Ke doesn't know how to answer that. "Well… She said she doesn't want me to rely on her too much… That I should learn it myself."

Lia nods a little. She understood that they would have to leave here eventually, however, deep down, perhaps a small, small part of her would yearn for such a peaceful life.

Lia finally let the flower disperse. As her hair slowly faded back to its normal black, the flower slowly wilted, petal by petal, each bright petal getting carried by the wind, fading, fading, until it all disappeared.

Lia stood up, and said. "I'm going to sleep, okay? I'm really tired."

"Mmm. Okay, good night." Lin Ke said casually, still a little lost in his own world.

"Errm." Lia, however, stood there still, causing Lin Ke to look over at her to see what's the issue. "D-d-d-do you want to sleep together?" She said, her face completely red. Then, realizing what she had just said, she quickly corrects herself. "I-i-i-i I mean, like on the same bed, because there's only one, and the mattress probably isn't super comfortable… Plus, there isn't another blanket and emmm…" She cuts herself off, trying not to say anything else.

Lin Ke, who had been completely thrown off by her first sentence, quickly tries to get the dirty thoughts out of his head. Shaking his head rapidly, as if that would help, he spoke, "No! I mean, it's okay. I'll sleep on the mattress. Don't worry about it." Lin Ke forces himself to say, no matter how tempting her offer was.

Lia pauses for a second, before nodding, and climbs into the bed. Lin Ke gets up from the chair and decides that it was also time for him to go rest. Throwing himself onto the mattress, Lin Ke looks up at the empty ceiling of the cave.

"Lily? Can you turn off the lights?" Lin Ke asks.

"Mmm? Do it yourself." Lily replied. She was curled up on the side of Lia's bed. "Just send your True Energy at them, and then they'll extinguish themselves."

"Yeah, but how do I send my True Energy through the air?" Lin Ke asks. He didn't really want to argue with Lily, as she hadn't interrupted him and Lia's conversations earlier with more teasing.

"Don't worry." A sleepy voice answers. "I'll do it." Lia shuffles her hand a little, and with a wave, all the lights in the cave snuffed out, leaving only the dim light of the moon, washing into the cave through the entrance.

Lin Ke closes his eyes, and before long, he has already fallen asleep.

--------------------

Under the starry night sky, in a forest, a red eyed beast arrived in front of a small mountain. Looking at a cave in the side of the mountain, the beast glared at it hatefully. As the moonlight washed over this beast, it illuminated its white fur, it's strong muscular body, and a small, already fading scar on its neck.

The Three Eyed White Tiger began to approach the cave silently, and walked up the side of the mountain, headed for the cave. Suddenly, the tiger paused its movements.

In front of the ferocious tiger was a small figure, smaller than a person, but floating in the middle of the air. In the dim light of the night sky, the tiger saw a small white cat in his way. The cat looked at him with an amused expression on her face.

"A small little cat, coming to disturb my master's sleep?" The figure said. "Leave immediately. If it wasn't for the fact that you still have a use, I would've killed you right there and then in the forest."

The tiger shudders, sensing the threat behind the cat's words. Although it was powerful, it was unable to shake off this feeling that, if it offended this thing, it wouldn't tell how it died. With no other choice, the tiger limply walked back the way it came, and into the forest again.

The white cat, after watching the tiger flee, floats into the cave, and after looking around at the deeply asleep people in the cave, curls herself up on top of someone.

Sighing deeply, the cat closes her eyes.
