Judgement's End

When those words traveled through the air, the groups of small ethereal blue balls suddenly took the form of sharp longswords. It was a frightening scene, one that sent shivers down the spine of anyone who saw.

Each blade sent out waves of tangible pressure, glowing, pulsing along with the heartbeat.

*Badump* The sound of the heartbeat, commanding, terrifying, mysterious.

"Wh-what is this?" Yol was shocked at the scene. He had never seen anything like it before. His brother had never shown this move to them, nor was this move part of their family's secret arts.

"You don't need to worry about that! You should worry about how you will survive!" Then, with some hand signals from Yal, the blades sharply turned horizontally, all aimed at Yol. WIth two fingers, Yal pointed at Yol.

*Badump*

It seemed as if time paused for a moment.

Yol widened his eyes and quickly fled away. Disappearing from the spot he was at, he reappears a few hundred meters to the left.

He was barely in time though, as the place where he last stood was now smoldering. Countless blue blades could be seen embedded into the ground. Quickly, they disappeared before reappearing around Yal.

Yol feels a trickle down his arm. Looking down, he realizes that although he had reacted quickly, he was not quick enough. He had still been scraped by the edge of one of the longswords.

Moving his energy over, Yol stoppers the flow of blood and looks back…

Just in time to see another mass of blades flying at him.

Panicking, Yol quickly leaps to the side barely avoiding most of the blades. However, he feels a sharp stabbing pain on his right arm. Looking over, he was just in time to see a portion of his skin ripped off by a longsword.

Without giving Yol any time to recover, Yal continues to fire off the blades in massive waves, sending them blasting toward Yol at supersonic speed. There were beads of sweat on Yal's face and his brows were furrowed in concentration.

This technique was difficult to cast, and even more difficult to maintain. It sapped at his strength massively, and he had to pay a massive price to maintain it. His face was paling rapidly.

*Badump*

"I'll end this now!" Yal said. "Goodbye brother!"

WIth a few quick hand signs, the stars in his eyes glowed.

Suddenly, the blades disappeared. It was as if it was wiped off the face of the planet. For a moment, there was only silence. The winds stopped blowing and even the miniscule amounts of world energy still left in the air froze. It was as if the world itself was waiting.

Then it came, like a torrent of rain. The huge blades of blue light pierced through the air, descending from the sky. It was truly as the name suggested. It was judgement, it was the wrath of God himself, smiting down those who dare oppose him.

Yol felt as if his legs had turned to lead. He wasn't able to move, no matter how hard he tried. It was as if the world itself was against him, as if the air had turned into a cage, a bunch of chains weighing him down.

Helpless, he could only stare as the Judgement Blades descended from the heavens.

One by one, the blades pierced through him. One by one, they disappeared, only to be replaced by more, like mere droplets in a rainstorm.

Their speed as they descended left a high pitch whistling noise in the ears of those who listened. Each of them were powerful, each of them differently sized. Each of them, designed to kill.

One by one, they fell leaving nothing left to speak of their presence but the gruesome holes in Yol and the ground broken with holes.

*Badump*

Yol felt the excruciating pain, the red hot longswords, piercing through his body. For a few minutes, all he could think of was the pain, the bloodcurdling, unrelenting pain. It wouldn't stop, it couldn't stop!

*Badump*

Until finally, the last one appeared. This one was ten times the size of the rest of them, glowing in a majestic golden light. The other blades were not extremely detailed, only a blue haze at best.

*Badump*

However, this blade was different. It seemed real, with its golden yellow metal shining in the red sky, decorated with countless beautiful lines etched through the blade. The hilt was majestically designed, embedded with countless precious jewels and the handle was a royal red color. The most terrifying thing about this sword was not its design, but it's aura. It gave off a menacing, oppressive, and overly powerful aura. It was the aura of a tyrant, of a GOD! This was the weapon of the gods, if god existed.

Yol, who had experienced a torture far beyond what he had ever gone through before, could only stare listlessly as the final blade descended. Basked in the pure light, the oppressive pressure, and the blood red sky, Yol forced a bitter smile on his face.

*Badump*

In his mind, he was thinking: 'How unfortunate! That this is how it ends for me…' SIghing deep in his heart, he calms his heart.

*Badump*

As the blade approaches, Yol closes his eyes.

*Badump*

As the blade rends his body to nothingness, Yol feels nothing.

As his life reaches its end, Yol smiles deep in his heart.

"I'm sorry… Brother."
