Judgement Blades

"World Snake's Blood Venom? You monster! Why did you have to coat that onto the blade?" Upon hearing the name of the venom, Yal couldn't help but feel himself sink into the depths of despair. If it was any other type of poison, Yal would be able to find a solution for it.

Looking back down at the person he loved most in the world, he gripped Eve's hand tightly. "Eve! I'm so sorry! It's okay! I'll find a way to cure it!"

He shouted desperately, even though he himself knew that that was next to impossible.

He then turned to the person who had caused this, the person responsible for the pain of his dear wife. "You… Even if you are my brother… You'll pay!"

Without any further hesitation, Yal let go of Eve. Instead of falling though, Yal wrapped her up in a blanket of energy causing her to remain levitating in the air. After making sure she was safe and behind him, Yal's longsword appeared in his hand again.

"Good! I guess I'll have to cut you down first before I can get the God Eye!" Yol said.

In Yol's hands, a crimson red katana appeared. "Give it up brother! You might've been stronger than me before, but how strong are you now? Can you really beat me? Don't you see the weapon I'm holding?"

Yal, hearing what his brother just said, looks down at his blade. Seeing the faint glow of the katana, the crimson red color of the metal, the countless intricate lines throughout the blade Yal's eyes widen in shock before steeling himself.

"It doesn't matter." He says calmly. "Even if you have that weapon, I will still cut you down."

Without any more to say, Yal rushes at Yol. His movement was so fast it seemed as if he disappeared for a split second and had teleported right on top of Yol, slashing down on Yol with his full might.

The blade slashed down, cutting through the stationary Yol…. before Yol faded away.

"Too slow!" Yol's voice sounded from a few meters away. "You won't hit me with just that amount of spee-"

He was cut off by a huge metal sword right in his face. Raising his katana as fast as he could, Yol was barely able to stop the sword from slicing him in two for real.

"I was speaking!" Yol indignantly said.

"Then stop! I don't want to hear it!" Yal replied before rushing towards Yol again with his blade hoisted. Ferociously, he continued to slash down on Yol, forcing Yol to parry his blade time and time again. Each time Yol fell back, Yal quickly followed up, slashing at him straightforwardly.

Lin Ke watched the quick exchanges of blades, the clashing of steel with bated breath. Their strikes caused shockwaves throughout the sky and their insane speed caused them to appear at multiple different places extremely quickly.

Yol, who had been constantly on the defense since the start of the fight let out a shout. "Argh! I am sick of this game! Let's end this quickly!"

Disappearing and reappearing a few hundred meters away from Yal, Yol pressed his hand to his blade.

Holding his katana horizontally, Yol quickly swept his hand across the blade. The crimson red katana bursted out into scorching red flames that danced in the blood red daylight.

The flames roared, burning sky high from its birthplace of Yol's katana. The flame burned brightly, causing the air surrounding it to be sucked dry. Suddenly though, the fire collapsed inwards, upon itself, and in the blink of an eye, the flames were only on the surface of the blade. However, the blade itself was no longer crimson red, but emitted such brightness that one couldn't look at it directly without being blinded. The heat that was coming off of it was insane, if one's cultivation wasn't high enough, they would be burned until their ashes disintegrated just by being close.

"Don't worry brother! Since you yearn for it so much I will send you to join your beloved wife in the Afterlife!"

He leaps forward at insane speeds, heading for Yal. He aimed his blade straight forward, right at Yal's neck. Yol intended to end this in one move.

Yal, seeing the red hot flames leaping off the blade of the katana, narrows his eyes. "Don't think that you are special just because you mastered our family's secret arts!"

At the same time, Yal landed on the ground and stabbed his longsword into it. With two hands resting on the hilt, he closed his eyes for a split second.

"Watch out!" Lin Ke couldn't help but shout worriedly, seeing that Yal had closed his eyes in such a critical situation. Yol was rapidly closing in and his blazing white katana was primed for taking Yal's life.

However, Lin Ke's worries were unfounded. Instead, a large amount of World Energy began to rapidly gather around Yal. Continuously, the torrent of energy entered Yal's body and gathered in his blade. Despite the amounts of World energy flowing into him, he showed no signs of stopping, and in a split second, all the world energy around him had been sucked away.

Suddenly, Yal opens his eyes wide. Instead of his normal eyes, they were replaced with bright red stars.Yal let go of his longsword and pressed his palms together.

His longsword, which was still embedded in the ground, began to pulse. Yes, it pulsed. It pulsed like a heartbeat, sounding strong and sonorous. It was a strong, slow, but commanding heartbeat. It made one's heart shudder and made it want to follow along to its rhythm.

Yol suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. His instincts told him that if he charged forward blindly, he might not know how he died. Yol, hearing the deep resounding heartbeats, couldn't help but feel nervous as to what was about to come.

*Badump*

Then it began. From the cracked remains of the ground, countless small round balls of intangible energy began to rise. It was a miraculous scene, lighting up the ground in the warm blue glow of countless different sized spheres.

Suddenly, they all condensed, whizzing together into hundreds of separate groups.

Yal's voice resonated through the air, his every word accentuated by the beat of the longsword's heart.

"Judgement Blades."
