World Snake's Blood Venom

"Hk…" The woman wasn't able to react in time, and she suddenly felt a sharp stabbing pain in her abdomen. Looking down at her chest, she saw a large amount of blood, blossoming from the wound, staining her exquisite outfit.

"WHO'S THERE?" The man roared upon seeing the wound. His eyes were red with bloodthirst, seeming as though if he found the culprit, he would make sure to rip them apart, limb by limb.

She reached down, ready to pull the dagger out, before suddenly feeling a burst of pain in her head. The pain was ferocious, like two wolves rampaging inside her skull, smashing everything inside, banging on the walls, raging to get out. The pain was so intense, so intense her vision went black for a moment, and she clutched her head in pain.

"Ah!" She screamed. The pain distracted her, causing her to lose consciousness and black out from it. The dual dragons flickered before fading away, and her, only moments ago magnificent aura, had dimmed considerably.

"Eve!" The man cried, rushing forwards to catch the falling woman. Cradling her in his arms, the man looks down at the woman he called Eve with bitter eyes before pulling the dagger out slowly. The blade of the dagger was stained with the rosy red blood of Eve, dripping down onto the battlefield below. The man, after extracting the weapon, looked around. "Who? Step out! How dare you touch her!"

"Hahaha!"

The man, following the sound of the voice, looks down at the battlefield. He focuses on the hooded man standing there.

"Who are you? Why are you doing this?" The man shouted, clearly extremely upset and angered. "What did you do to Eve?"

"Ahahahaha!" The hooded figure continued to laugh. "Did you really not recognize my voice?" He suddenly said in a sarcastic tone.

The man thinks deeply. Now that the hooded figure said that, the man did indeed feel that his voice was familiar, but he was unable to pinpoint it at the exact moment. There was too much going on in his mind, too much information to process, that he just couldn't think clearly.

"Let me help you out a bit…" the hooded figure said, before lowering his hood.

The man freezes, unwilling to believe his eyes. "No… No… Why would it be you?" The man did recognize this person… and it was one he wasn't willing to believe was actually in front of him right now. "Yol? Wh-why? Why are you doing this? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO YOUR SISTER-IN-LAW? ARE YOU INSANE?" The man roared.

"Yes! I am insane!" The one called Yol began. "Brother, aren't you too ignorant? Ignorant of the truth? No matter what it was, no matter what we did… It was always you. Yal this, Yal that! You were just better! Better at everything!" Yol spitefully said.

"Yol? What are you saying? You were never like this… But besides that, tell me how to fix what you did to Eve! If not… even if you are my brother… I won't hold back!" Yal threatened.

"Haha! You don't have to worry about your dear wife! She'll be dead shortly!" Yol laughed creepily. "After all, she isn't worthy of possessing a God Eye."

Yal feels his rage simmering, but due to him having to look after Eve, he doesn't immediately pounce on Yol like he wants to. Through gritted teeth, he chokes out. "Are. You. Insane? For her God Eye? How is she not worthy of possessing a God Eye? She's the most worthy! You little… For the sake of power, you are willing to abandon your family?"

Yol shook his head. "No brother. It is YOU who have abandoned his family."

Yal looks at Yol, stunned by what Yol just said. "Wh-what? Are you insane? How have I abandoned my family?"

"Do you really need me to spell it out for you? You married the daughter of our clan's worst enemy! Did you really think the higher ups in the clan would accept that? Even if on the surface they did, deep down, they were unwilling! The only reason they ever said yes was due to how powerful you two were! However, that's all changed! Now, there's no need for you two, no need to fear you!" Yol shouted. "That's why they waited. They waited for the perfect time! That's why! Don't you see? From the moment you fell in love with that bitch, you have already betrayed your clan, turned your back on your ancestors, and sullied the prestige of our noble existence!"

Yal listens on with widened eyes. He had genuinely believed that his family wished them well, that they supported his marriage, that they were magnanimous and willing to mend relations. However, that fragile filter he had been looking at his family through had been shattered in a mere instant, leaving him disgusted at his own family's actions.

"But why? Why did you have to kill my child? WHY?" Yal hysterically shouted. "Even if you kill me, or kill Eve, why did you kill the child? THE CHILD WAS INNOCENT!" The more he spoke, the more angered, frustrated, and heartbroken he felt. Due to the stubborn nature of his family… because of them… because of his own inability to see through this.... His child… Paid. With. His. Life.

"Ahaha!" Did you really think we would let your child come into this world? That's just asking for future troubles! Why not eliminate the threat there and then?" Yol laughed as if his brother was insane for suggesting that.

"You little…" Yal said through gritted teeth.

Suddenly, Yal felt a small soft hand softly touch his skin. Looking down, he saw Eve with her eyes fluttering. She was in between a state of consciousness and not.

"Yal…" She weakly called. "D-dear…" Slowly, she raised a hand to stroke Yal's face. She had a melancholic expression on her face, bitterly looking into Yal's eyes, trying to convey the entirety of her heart through their intangible connection.

"Eve!" Yal looked down worriedly. "Are you okay? I'm so sorry! I'm sorry! It's all my fault! Please hold on. Hold on please. Don't die!" Yal desperately called. The wound on Eve's stomach had already closed up, but there was a deep purple snake mark in the place where it entered. Yal pressed his hand onto her stomach, trying to use his Energy to figure out what was going on.

"It's no use! You can't remove it. The World Snake's Blood Venom is fatal, and in at most a week, she will be dead!"
