B-class Painting

Lily was peacefully reading her comic while listening to the wild sounds of the forest around her. Truthfully speaking, Lily had been quite impressed by how far Lin Ke's paintings went in such a short amount of time. She hadn't given him that many hints, but Lin Ke was able to figure out so much so rapidly.

As expected of the person chose-

The only reason Lily was able to relax so readily was because she had closed off part of her connection to Lin Ke. If one were to put it in modern terms, it would be like she put Lin Ke's thoughts on mute, leading to her not being overwhelmed by Lin Ke's thoughts.

Lily did this for a few reasons. One, some of Lin Ke's thoughts are… odd. Two, it was slightly tiring to hear someone else's thoughts all the time, so she secretly turns it off most of the time. Three, which is the main reason its off right now, Lin Ke was painting.

Lily believed that if the person viewing the painting couldn't tell the thoughts of the painter from the painting, the artist didn't do a good enough job with his painting. If they weren't able to articulate their feelings, thoughts and behaviors, they weren't deserving of others recognizing it either. Plus, art was meant to be open to interpretation. If she knew the thoughts of the artist, that would limit her perspective on the painting, making her focus on what Lin Ke saw in it.

That's why Lily didn't listen in on Lin Ke's thoughts. She wanted to try to know through her own eyes, not through reading the thoughts of someone else.

Lily was quite immersed in her reading when Lin Ke suddenly stood up to stretch. Lily looked up.

"You're finished? What did you draw?"

Lin Ke stretches his arms, before taking a deep breath. "Well… I think you'll like this. Take a look." He gestures at his piece.

Lily, slightly curious as to what he chose to draw, floats over to Lin Ke's side. "Why're you being so mysteriou-"

Lily's words get caught in her throat as the painting comes into her vision.

The painting was of her. It was of her shattering the World Prison Art… It was of her with her paw pressed up against an invisible barrier, with an ethereal, out of this world figure visible above her.

This painting was Lin Ke's perspective, what he saw yesterday morning. Lin Ke was extremely curious as to who that beautiful figure was. It was a desperate fan, fawning over a celebrity.

However, there was no doubt in his mind that that person was strong, insanely so. Not to mention, beautiful beyond anything he had ever seen. Her beauty eclipsed everything in this world, making even Lia seem like an ordinary flower.

She had a completely perfect body, albeit completely naked. However, in that moment, Lin Ke wasn't able to think dirty thoughts or have any ulterior impure thoughts. He was so caught up in her divineness, her aura, her power, that it was as if any of those types of thoughts would be enough to warrant his death.

The entire focus of the painting was on her, of her graceful figure, of her untainted, pure aura, and of her beauty that caused all else to lose color.

Lin Ke had purposefully drawn the surrounding scenes slightly blurred, entering the attention of the scene around that woman and Lily.

That's right. Not only was that woman the main focus of the painting, but Lily was too. Lin Ke tried to portray her appearance and the air about her. Anyone who looked at the painting would be struck with a feeling of awe, and would want to bow down in worship at the spectacular scene in front of them.

When Lily saw the painting, the first thing she felt was an odd feeling. One that she hadn't felt before… or rather, one she hadn't felt in a long time… She felt a fuzzy warm feeling in her heart, one that made a small smile crawl onto her face.

Then, she was struck by the emotions behind the piece. It assaulted her swiftly, causing her to be slightly overwhelmed by the awe, the reverence and the infatuation.

Then she realized something, and she felt her heart race.

"AHHH!" She screamed, before quickly waving her paws.

The image rapidly disappears.

"What? LILY? Why did you do that? I spent so long painting that!" Lin Ke complained. He was slightly confused as to why Lily destroyed the painting. Did she not like it? Lin Ke had included her in the painting though… even if most of the focus was on that woman.

Lily doesn't look at him, but instead flies away quickly. She curls back up on the rock and mumbles.

"Nothing, don't worry about it. Forget what you saw okay?"

Lin Ke asks, extremely confused. "What?"

"Don't worry about it!" Lily yells, slightly louder this time. "Anyways, your painting has reached B-cass, even though it barely has. Congrats."

Hearing what Lily just said, Lin Ke couldn't help but smile. He had really managed to reach B-class so quickly. It has been barely three days since he arrived in this world, but he has already gone through so much and has even become a B-class artist.

He had to have broken some kind of record right?

Lin Ke looks up at the sky to realize that the sun was setting. Unknowingly, he had been out for an entire day. Then, he remembers Lia, who he had left in the cave all alone for the entire day.

"Lily, it's getting dark, we should head back." Lin Ke calls.

Lily nods, and trods over. "Okay." She says. She waves her hand at the supplies laid out for Lin Ke, causing it to disappear.

Together, they began to retrace their path, heading back to the cave.
