Lia's Mother

Mildred waved her hand, sending out a wave of True Energy, lighting up the room. The room was clean without any hint of dust, everything was laid out as it had been as Lin Ke had remembered from when he had woken up on the sofa. The room was perfectly preserved yet it smelled fine, without any stale scents. If Lin Ke had to guess, Mildred probably cleaned the place out every day.

Lia walked into the study slowly, followed by Lin Ke and Mildred. She traces her hand on the soft sofa, walks over to the walls and traces the bookshelves. To Lia, everything here was so familiar yet… the feeling was so foreign at the same time. Lia could almost see her grandfather sitting at the desk, a book in hand as he pushed his reading glasses up. Lia could practically see her grandfather's smiling face as he asked her what was up in that kind voice of his.
