Darkness, that is all she felt as she floated in an eternal void.
she remembered it all, she remembers her life, her grandfather, her brother and how he caused her death. She remembered the faces of everyone in her life, even the ones that had only been a passing figure in her life.
She remembers the glowing fire as she jumped and the warmth that swept passed her as she fell into the abyss of the blazing volcano.
She should have felt fear and panic as she stared at the flames for they would be the cause of her impending death, but for some reason she felt a sense of comfort and security as she stared at the flames that embraced her with their warmth and with the flames, there was familiarity and longing which seemed to call out to her from the burning flames to the depth of her soul and she yearned to reach out and find what it was that called to her such.
There was a voice, a whisper almost as everything went dark.
For a long time, almost an eternity she felt absolutely nothing as she floated around in complete darkness.
But then she felt a warmth and a voice as it called out to her warmly, like a call from the gods themselves. For the first time she opened her eyes to see a light in the void as small as a flame in the night and she followed it for she yearned for it's warmth and something other than absolute darkness.
"Who are you?"
She followed the light as the voice started becoming incoherent and faded from the light. She started to feel an unplaceable panic as she became frantic to follow the light.
"Wait! Don't go! Wait!"
As she ran faster the light enveloped her and the voice disappeared. Her eyes were blinded by the light surrounding her everywhere and her head dizzy with questions. She looked down and saw clear water where she could see her reflection and even when she stepped, like walking on glass her feet didn't get wet. The water like a river ran forward and she looked up to follow the direction that it flowed. Following it she could finally see where the water was heading and as she came closer she saw that from every direction seen possible came water that reached a tree so big and beautiful that she had no words to describe it, as its surrounding was surrounded by fresh moss and plants which she didn't know the name of.
The branches of the tree grew these golden balls of light which gave off warmth. She walked closer towards the tree and reached out to touch it. Her palm touched the smooth bark and with a flash everything faded and grew dark in front of her eyes.
