Chapter 5

Since the forge is quite a big place, it is a little bit of a long way to my office from the entrance. The Majesty follows me along as I lead the way. It's just like old days, I remember me being too excited to see my dad working on creating weapons for the royal family. He was focused, calm and knew exactly what he was doing and what he was going to do next. The precision was incredible and by seeing it anyone could obviously tell that it was from his years of experience and hard work.

One day I happened to be in the forge when my dad was about to deliver the order of the weapon. I hadn't seen the finished piece of weapon and I really wished to see it. I tried to watch closely how he did the delivery but the Queen saw me. She called me over and I really thought I was going to be scolded but instead she squat down and asked, "Are you Roger's son?" I nodded, "and what might your name be kiddo?"

"Duero Linndon, your majesty" I replied

She laughed and said, "Did your father teach you that? You can just call me aunt Josephine."

I looked at my dad and he seemed to be happy so I was glad I wasn't bothering him.

"Do you want to see your father's finished work?" She asked.

I nodded with excitement.

"Then come along with us." She lead me by hand and I was happy and excited at the same time to see what my dad had made. I did not really understand what they were saying at the time but it was something related to business I think. I don't really remember the conversation but remember that she was nice to me and was just like an aunt. I got to witness my dad's finished order of a sword, which was for one of the royal family members. And my god! It was the most beautiful piece of art let alone the weapon I had ever seen in my entire life. Even till this point of my life, I haven't seen a better weapon that was as mesmerizing as that he had made. I haven't even made a sword that came as close to that until now. I believe that the last sword to be made by me in this forge is the only weapon that could come as close as an inch to what my dad had made. After that, I would be walking with her majesty whenever she came for an order. Some days, she comes just to visit me and we would walk around the forge. She is truly a nice person. I have helped her grandkids with their studies and other things, when her majesty ever asks. They are good kids.

I let out a "Oh!", as I see Jack walking, "Jack, would you mind coming here?"

He comes quickly when he hears me calling him, "What is it, Mr.Linndon?" He then turns to Aunt Josephine and bows, "Good afternoon,Your Majesty"

"Good afternoon to you too, young lad" she replies to his greeting.

"Your Majesty, this is Jack Senden. He will be taking your orders from now on. And believe when I say, you will not be disappointed." I introduce Jack to Aunt Josephine.

"Nice to meet you, Jack. We look forward to be doing business with you" She says.

"I will do my best not to disappoint you." He replies.

"With that out of the way, I will take Her Majesty to the office. Jack, sorry for calling you in between your job. You can continue your work."

"No, thank you Mr. Linndon." Saying that he leaves.

"Shall we go the office?" I look towards aunt Josephine.

"Of course. He seemed like a good worker." She says.

"He is a good worker. He's the best in this forge."

"Kiddo, you know that you are the best in this forge." She replies.

"Not anymore." I open the door to my office and let her walk in. I close the door and we take a seat.

"You know you can just call me aunt Josephine. I tell you that many times, kiddo." She says as she sits.

"Well aunt Josephine, I can't have myself calling you that infront of the workers." I reply, "So anyway, let me show the final product to you." I slide over the box across the table and face it towards her.

" You are just like your father. Making the perfect order with many details and precision." She starts to compliment me after seeing the box, "Let me open the box and take a look at the sword." She opened the box slowly and steadily. The box opened smoothly and the lid or the top part doesn't fully open, which means person sitting at back can't see what is inside and that adds to the experience. She seemed to be amazed by what's inside.

She takes the sword in hand, "Kiddo...I'm speechless. This is just.. spectacular. I have to say that, I didn't expect anything less from you. In fact, you exceeded my expectations."

"It is my masterpiece."

"I can tell" she is still looking at the sword while holding it, "Your father would be very proud"

"Yeah. I hope so" I say. "So it's a deal?"

"When is it not a deal?" We laugh at that, "Still it's a shame that you are leaving this place. Why don't you stay longer?" She asks me.

"Well, I figured that it was time for me to finally pack things up" I reply to her question.

"It's not like I could ever stop you. If this is what you want then you go for it. You do what you think is best, kiddo. I will always support you"

"Thanks aunt Josephine. It really means a lot."

She puts the sword back in the box and closes it carefully, "I will have my people pick it up. The remaining years of my life might go if I tried to pick it up." She makes a joke and we laugh, "Walk with me, kiddo" she says as she gets up from her chair.

"Yeah, I will. But I have to do one thing first."
