Chapter 14

My grandparents had a purpose they had to serve in another world. My parents had a purpose to serve in the other world.

Do I have a purpose that I need to fulfill?

I will need to find that out. Sooner or later, I most certainly will find it.

I put my suitcase down. I should rest for a while. The whole thing of jumping through the portal and falling into this world is killing my body. I need to doze off for some time .....

.....

Zzzzzz ... Zzzzzz ...

Huh? " Hmm ....? " *Yawn

I really did fall asleep. But man! This bed feels so good though. It is like sleeping on a fluffy cloud and who knows? They might be using real clouds to make this in this world.

I need to study about this world more. Oh!

I snap my fingers in realization of what I should be doing, " I should travel. "

Well it is not that surprising since I did say to Laraye and his family that I was travelling but it really does makes sense, to be honest.

This village needs a blacksmith right now and I just happened to fall right near this village. It might probably be just a coincidence but no one said that it was something to be ignored.

I can be blacksmith in this world and use my skills here too, helping people who is in need of help. I can travel and find out more about this world that is quite new to me.

This world has magic in it probably. Yeah, it definitely would by the looks of it. And what better thing is there than witnessing real magic.

I have all I need in this suitcase right here, so I should be more than just ready to travel but first ..... I need to eat.

I took a nap earlier so I didn't realize the time, I looked at my watch. It still shows the time in London but it is not that far off from this world's time, not that clock is invented in this world.

That's right. You heard me. There is no clock in this world! They probably built many things using magic but not clocks. Did they ignored it? I don't know.

At the very least, the time doesn't seem to be that off from this world's time. It's sunset when it's around 6. And now the watch is showing that the time is 7:30, I look outside the window and the place got dark indeed.

" Food services, right? " I checked with the kid when we were coming here, it means that when you go to the part of this lodge where we can have food and beer, they will serve it for free.

So what it actually means is that I need to go there and eat, they will not be providing it to my doorstep or anything of that sort.

I have to go there now or who knows, I might not get anything to eat.

I wash my face and wipe it dry. I needed to get the sleep out of my eyes before I go there.

I make my way downstairs and walk to get something to eat. I am not that hungry but I think I need to eat to make sure that I feel full.

I wonder what kind of food do they have? How do they cook food? Is it different? Maybe I'll find out.

I walk and while walking I just think about the job offer. Well not really a job offer but it is more like a small work., I just need to build some things and forge.

It does not seem like that much of a work but I am really not sure if that is all that I have to do. Maybe I will need to work more than what I worked on Earth to be able to be working 'normally' in this world.

That being said I don't even know the name of this world. How can I know? I mean I can't just go up and ask someone the name of this world, I would just sound like an idiot.

I think and think, that's when I see Laraye by the counter. Maybe I can ask the kid about the blacksmith job that people were talking about.

" Hey, Laraye. " I call out to him and turns to face me, " Where is the place where you guys serve food? "

" You mean the diner? It is just after the right turn from this hall. Do you have any other questions sir? " He asks. Well indeed I have questions to ask.

" Yes, in fact I do have some questions to ask you. "

" What is it? "

" It is about the blacksmith job that the shopkeeper mentioned- ... " The lad interrupts me.

" Are you going to take it?! " He seems excited. He really likes these things huh?

" Yeah. I thought about it for a while and o felt like I should try it out, certainly couldn't hurt. " I need to sustain in this world.

Though, I have money now but I don't think it is going to cut for all expenses throughout my life in this world. I need to earn some money by getting works like this.

" That is great news! I will inform my family and you can start tomorrow! They will all be happy " he seems to be happy, " Let me show you the way to the diner. " He politely says.

" No need, it is okay. I can find my way to the diner. " I say.

" Well I also have some work to do in the diner and I can just show you the place along the way. " Seems reasonable.

" Okay then. Lead the way. " I walk along with him to the diner.

Honestly, this place gets better and better every time I take a glance at it. The structure is old and not too luxurious but it is good.

We reach the diner. It is a small place but there are a lot of people here, I see some with weapons and some with suitcases and all. I guess the adventurers and also workers come here to rest and eat. It's lively.

" The adventurers come here just to dine and drink some beverages, they never stay because they will always be on quests and the price is too high for them. " Laraye explains. I understand the situation now.

" It is nice to see a lot of people having food together. " I say as I watch the diner from the entrance.

" It is nice but .... " Laraye seems irritated somehow, " some of the adventurers get into fights and break the furniture in here. Not just here, it is a common case in all the places they come to dine. They usually get into fights, some are way too bad. So sir, stay out of their sight okay? They are can sometimes be rude, I apologize for their disturbance in advance. " He apologizes.

" You have nothing to apologize for, lad. They can be however they want to be, I don't care at all. " I smile while saying.
