"I-" Feng MuLing's frown deepened. "I think so."

"Then the crow- XueYa's mom's death-" LiangLin tried to catch one of the disjointed thoughts crisscrossing in his mind but got nothing. His eyes drifted over the simple decorations and the paintings as if any of those items could give a logical answer for him.

The crane looked at him with its empty eyes from the large painting covering the wall.

But of course, none of those inanimate objects could speak, and LiangLin found his eyes trailing back on the couple.

None of it made sense and LiangLin felt like he was trying to picture the bread based on a few bread crumbs alone - it was driving him insane.

"But- dad - Mang HuaZhen would never… They were soulmates. He would have never hurt her," LiangLin stuttered as he saw the wary look on Feng MuLing's visage. "He wouldn't… right?"
