Crow's Message

The sun rose from behind the horizon; the ocean lit up with shades of amber and red.

Madam Mu stood by the shore, enjoying the light, salty breeze that caressed her cheeks. Waves rolled in from the sea, crashing into the rocky shores, wetting her bare feet and the hems of her robes, but she paid it no attention.

Ever since Mang XueYa's ship departed from the island, she had come to the shore to watch the sunrise every day, enjoying the silence that only the outskirts of the island allowed the ever-bustling city of lust.

Although she was still bound to the island, she no longer looked over at the customers of her brothel or served wine. Her workers knew what to do. She was more worried about taking care of herself and the baby for the time being.

For the first time in a long while, a content smile formed on her lips as she caressed her abdomen.

This time, she wasn't alone on this island. There was something to live for, to expect.
