In a trice, she was hit by a banging pain on her head. She shut her eyes, trying to dismiss the sensation.

Hearing no reaction from her companions, Erina opened her eyes despite the ache she was feeling. The moment she did so, the girl was forced to look up only to meet the shocked expressions of the other snake children.

She wanted to ask them what was wrong, but she could only open her mouth repeatedly. After many attempts, Erina still couldn't summon her voice.

Just then, she saw Neverio slowly walking his way towards her. It made Erina wonder.

'How come it's taking him so long to come to me? He was only beside me a moment ago. Neverio was even comforting me, telling me that Zarya will be back soon.'

Right at that second, she saw something behind Neverio that made her eyes widen. Like a fish pulled out of the water, she kept trying to move her mouth to express her shock.
