Bocahr Settlement: The Journey (16)

"Mommy and daddy always take care of me. We don't have maids. Only rich people have maids! I don't want them, Daddy. We can't pay for maids. We have no money!"

Zekhyr wasn't the only one who was stunned by what Zarya was saying. Looking around, the servants were either amused or confused about what they had just heard.

"Zarya, we've been in this room for quite a while. Who are the people around you?"

Zarya roamed her gaze around the room, meeting the eyes of several servants in the process. She gave them her sweetest smile which made them pleased.

The little girl then raised both of her hands, giggling as she said, "Daddy's friends! They're daddy's kind friends who gave me food!"

"Friends?" Zekhyr asked, his eyebrows slightly furrowing, "You see them as my friends?"

"Yes! Daddy's friends! You're all daddy's friends, right?!"
