Bocahr Settlement: The Journey (29)

At first, Erhom didn't know what had happened to him. He still kept on mumbling about things that he wished to do.

As soon as he saw the footsteps approaching him, he had a momentary window of realization. His eyes widened, almost as wide as to how agape his mouth had become. He couldn't summon his voice. But if he was able to, his screams would've been heard all throughout the mansion.

Zekhyr observed the flash of emotions on the man's face with indifference. He couldn't care less whether Erhom would resent him for his actions.

Why would he be so concerned about the opinions of a dead man?

Putting his foot on the man's head, Zekhyr spoke, "Erhom, you've done nothing but whine regarding your unfortunate circumstances. However, you're not as unfortunate as you thought. Don't play the victim card here."
