Bocahr Settlement: The Group (4)

Despite knowing his duty, Zekhyr's heart couldn't settle down. It was to a point that his thoughts became muddled.

Seeing the hesitation behind Zekhyr's gaze, Karveshe knew that he needed to do something. At the least, he ought to show to the man that his daughter was safe and sound.

"My Lord, I will go and retrieve the lady right now. While I'm at it, please gather your composure. We can't just make the members wait. This is a great opportunity for us, you said that yourself. Please don't waste it."

Zekhyr nodded in agreement. He was also aware of the essence of his duties. There was no mistake in that.

He wasn't usually the sort of person who could be swayed by anything. Even when the news of his first cousin's sudden death came, Zekhyr couldn't be bothered to stop working for a second to mourn.
