Dinner Date

At exactly five o'clock Su Kai waltzes into Liu Wei's office. She was buried in paperwork and didn't notice the time. He quietly sits down and observes her lost in thought. She wore her hair in a pony tail today and she was wearing a bright red pant suit with a white top. No one could pull that red suit like she can he thought. I wonder how she would feel wrapped around his arms. His mind was going off in a tangent, so he shook himself awake.

The action made Liu Wei look up and her forehead crinkles as she was trying to figure out why Su Kai was in her office. Finally it dawns on her that they have a dinner date tonight. "Hi there handsome, I almost forgot about tonight. Sorry to have kept you waiting."

"It's fine, I was admiring the view" He says as he walks over to her side.

"Let me just tidy up my workspace and we can head out. How was your day?" Liu Wei creates small talk while she puts her paperwork away.

"My day is better now that I see you"

She stops what she was doing and starts laughing. This guys has the cheesiest pick up lines she's ever heard. "Um.. you make me smile with your words. Where did you get your pick up lines from?"

"I didn't get my pick up lines anywhere, I'm just telling you the truth." He says with a straight face.

"oh… hahaha forget what I said then. You know.. you could have called me and I would have come right down. Instead you had to walk all the way here to my office." Liu Wei already felt bad that she forgot about the dinner, he even came to pick her up and walked all the way to her office on the 16th floor. This man is so sweet.

"It's fine, I needed the exercise" As they walked to the elevator, the employees were so shocked to see Su Kai in their building. The top handsome bachelor that is rarely seen in public is now leisurely walking with their VP. And oh my goodness they both looked like a match made in heaven. They complemented each other and the way they smiled and laughed with their heads tilted towards each other made any single person jealous with envy.

The male employees were all sad that their goddess whom they just met, was already being courted by the top bachelor. How can they compete with that? They slowly walked back to their office with resignation written all over their faces. The women on the other hand were love struck, in their minds as long as Liu Wei and Su Kai haven't officially announced their relationship. They still had a chance, even if it's a sliver of an opportunity then they will take it.

One such bold employee ran over to make Su Kai's acquaintance. "Hi VP Liu, I have some documents for you to review. Hello CEO Su, what brings you to Liu Corporation?"

"Thanks Janet, I will review it at home. CEO Su is here to have dinner with me, he's the one who gave me those red roses. He's such a sweetheart!!! I just want to squeeze the cuteness out of him!" Liu Wei was having so much fun with Janet, she could see Janet's face turning bright red from embarrassment.

"Umm… well that's so sweet?.." Janet was so lost for words. It's just not fair, why does our VP who can get any man she wants have to go after the #1 richest bachelor. She's so stingy! "Have a great time then, I will be on my way"

The whole time during the conversation Su Kai was busy fiddling with this phone. He could care less what was happening around him. For him everything else was irrelevant except for Liu Wei.

Liu Wei was laughing all the way down to the car. "Do you think I was being too mean back there?"

"No, you were perfect" He says with a smile.

They arrived at the restaurant and was shown to a private dining area overlooking the harbor. The glittering lights of the city could be seen across the way as well as some small boats. It was a picturesque view and a great place for a romantic dinner. He really did put in the effort Liu Wei thought.

During their wait for the dishes to arrive, Su Kai asks in a husky voice "Have you considered my proposal?" He doesn't know why he's so nervous this time around. He's had previous women in contracts before and he was never anxious. They always said yes and it was easy for him. He never got attached or put much significance in the relationships. He felt that it was too troublesome to have feelings associated with his contracted women. He always viewed his contracts as a business arrangement and nothing more.

With Liu Wei she just exudes a different vibe, he can't help himself but want her and only her. It's not that she's beautiful, he's dated lots of beautiful women before. It's her personality and her carefree attitude as well as that mysterious side to her. He knows that she's hiding something dark and deep and instead of steering clear he's more drawn to it.

"Yes, I've thought about it. And yes, I agree. But I want to take it slow, as you know I just reunited with my family and I am staying at the Liu Mansion. I won't be available all the time, as I am also working full time." Liu Wei's heart was beating so fast. She's never done something like this before, she's only ever had one boyfriend in her life who became her husband. But her she is, acting like she knew the art of seduction. It's so exciting!

"Why don't you come over my place twice a week…" Su Kai was so elated that she said yes that he would take anything she offered him.

"Also, I don't want my family to know that we are seeing each other. I can say that we are collaborating on a project that I am thinking of implementing. That way I am able to see you more, what do you think?" She offered him a solution and she wanted to grab the chance to rope him into doing business with the Liu Corporation. She would be able to increase the revenue by a lot if he jumps on board.

"Oh, I would like to hear this business proposal of yours" As he says that, their dinner arrives. The food was a feast for the eyes. He knew she was impressed because her eyes opened up in surprise. He would wine and dine this woman until she falls head over heels in love with him. Wait, what? Love? Where did that thought come from…?
