IV. Dinner

*tok *tok *tok

It was Chandler knocking into secretary Lynne's desk to draw her attention. Secretary Lynne looked at him.

"Let's go. It's already 5:01 pm." He said while grinning.

"Just a sec." Secretary Lynne checked all the papers that needs to be done today and piled up the papers for tomorrow.

Chandler leaned on Secretary Lynne's desk and looked at the door of CEO Lu's office.

"Is my brother, still in the office?"

"Hmmm."

Chandler only got a small response out of secretary Lynne. After done checking the files, Secretary Lynne stretched out her arms above her head ٩(^ᴗ^)۶ and leaped out of her chair.

"Let's go?" Chandler walked to her and tug her arm in him but the telephone on her desk rang.

*ring*ring*ring

"Yes." Lynne answered politely as the phone call was coming from CEO Lu's office.

"Come inside." and CEO Lu hang up the phone.

"My brother?" Secretary Lynne just nod.

"What does he want now?" Chandler asked and Lynne shrug both of her shoulder.

"I also don't know. Did I forget something?" Secretary Lynne kept on remembering if there is something amiss, but can't think of anything.

"Let me check." Lynne said. After knocking, Lynne entered the office. Greeting CEO Lu and Ms. Clark a slight bow.

CEO Lu and Ms. Clark are sitting across to each other with a cup in Louisa's hand. She's sipping her tea while there's a folder in Alexander's hand.

"What can I help you?"

Standing outside the office. Chandler is being greeted by the other employees. He smile charmingly and greeted them back. Anxious for secretary Lynne. He put his right ear to the door.

Calling Lynne, Secretary Lynne had become a habit to the employees and staffs and also to Lynne herself.

But, Chandler is the only person who can call secretary Lynne by her first name for some reason that they do not know.

"I don't hear a thing. Poor, Lynne. Being bullied by my brother."

'whose fault is that, eh?' Chandler's inner conscience

'I just want to have fun with Lynne. My brother that selfish jerk. Keeping Lynne away from me. I need to save Lynne.'

He pushed the door forcefully making an entrance. Chandler barged to the office and throw a protest.

"BROTHER! YOU'RE MAKING LYNNE TO WORK OVERTIME!"

"I do? Is that true, Secretary Lynne ?" CEO Lu asked, innocently.

[・_・]? Chandler' s face

"No. Not at all (＾－＾)" Lynne responded.

"See, my secretary, says not at all."

"Oh, really huh! You think, I'll believe you. Lynne, you don't have to be scared. I'm here. I'm already back. I'll save - - -"

"Seems like you can come back to work, tomorrow."

Chandler froze in fear and left dumbfounded. 〣( ºΔº )〣

"You! I just came back! And you want me- - - you devil! ๐·°(৹˃̵﹏˂̵৹)°·๐"

CEO Lu and Louisa already left the office. Seeing how Chandler was crushed. Secretary Lynne snorted and Chandler threw daggers at her. Secretary Lynne tried her best to suppressed her laughter.

"WHAT did he do to you, huh?" Chandler run towards Lynne, he's holding her shoulders and turn her side by side. Checking if there was an injury or what so ever.

"CEO Lu just asked me to send some files to his residence." Secretary Lynne said as a matter of fact.

"That bully. He made me fly back here and make me work immediately. "

"Erm. Let's have dinner next time. Why don't you go back to your residence and have a rest? "

Chandler left the office walking like a corpse. Secretary Lynne shake her head, CEO Lu seems happy to see Chandler back.

CEO Lu asked her to bring the folders at his desk back to his residence.

Secretary Lynne opened the folders and quickly scanned the document.

"I guess we'll be busy these upcoming days." She put all the folder in to a box and head to the parking lot.

"Let's have dinner first." She drove to the nearest fast food chain and went to drive thru. After being greeted, a good evening.

Secretary Lynne ordered two double patty burgers, one large fries, one large coke and a sundae. She's craving for this for a week now but whenever she want to eat here her work mates will asked her out for dinner.

Secretary Lynne decided to have her lunch at a park.

She seated on one of the avaible benches. There are no other people beside her. Secretary Lynne unwrapped the burger, give it good sniff and a big bite.

"Mmmm. " Secretary Lynne moan in satisfaction. It's a good thing that CEO Lu asked her to run an errand. Looking up, she saw the stars and the moon is shining brightly. She suddenly felt alone and longing.

The thought made her lost her appetite. Feeling sentimental Lynne couldn't finish her meal, she get up and pat her butt.

"Time to go." CEO Lu, lived separately with his parents and while Chandler live in one of the houses in main Residence. She's being greeted by Mr. Cheng, Alexander' s butler.

CEO Lu's residence is a 2 story house with a big front yard and pool. Modern designed made with durable materials.

Secretary Lynne frequently come here amd that's why Mr. Cheng and other maids knew her. Sometimes she will spent her nights here for work.

Secretary Lynne made her way to Alexander's office at home knowing, CEO Lu isn't home, yet. She put down the box in the table, stick some notes and ready to leave.

Mr. Cheng insist her to have a cup of tea which she politely declined. She used her job as a reason, saying she has a lot of things to do and Mr. Cheng didn't trouble her.

Secretary Lynne just finished taking a shower and dressed in her pajamas. After drying her hair, she went to the living room and started packing again.

She's getting ready to moved out. Lynne's currently living in one of the units in Grand Canal Estates. It is one of the well known estates in the current year in the country.

Some of the tenants that lives here are artists, company directors and other important people.

Although, she already bought the unit.

She still wanted a house.

Through her work as CEO's Secretary and some sidelines she saved well enough to buy herself one.

Wrapping the last snow globe in a newspaper and carefully putting in the box.

Lynne went to bed and tug herself in. The darkness hug her as she doze of to sleep.
