"CEO Lu!" Secretary Lynne shriek as she opened her eyes and the lights in the room, almost blind her. She waited until her vision adjust to the lights and look around. Looking at her surroundings she thought, she must be in a hospital.

She felt the sting in her hand and saw the IV drop. She's wearing the hospital gown for patient. She went down from the bed but as soon as her foot touches the ground she hissed in pain.

Hearing the clicking sound of the door. She look right at the door. Seeing, it's not an enemy, her shoulder softens.

It was Chandler who entered the room, with a tray of food in his hand, incase of Lynne waking up hungry and to his surprise she's awake now.

His face instantly glow as he noticed that Lynne is already awake, sitting on the bed and looking as her feet.

"You shouldn't be moving. There's a shard of glass, found in your left foot and some cuts and bruises on your right." Chandler explained.

Looking at Lynne, Chandler notice something off.

But he can't pinpoint what it is.

Nevertheless, he called for a doctor. He pushed a button beside the patients bed, paging for the doctor that attends Lynne. Looking at the her own feet, that is now covered with bandages, with a spot of crimson red.

"How long, was I out?" Lynne asked.

Chandler was glad to see that Lynne regain her consciousness. He put the tray in her front, before answering.

"You're out for 'bout 16 hours."

Chandler said as he smile a little.

"How's CEO Lu?" Chandler froze, but managed to recover in the question. His eyes are glued on the ground and not wanting to lift his head up as he speak.

"He just had a surgery, he was stab in lower abdomen. Still unconscious and he's across your room." Lynne just nod. She spread her hand in front of Chandler and look at him.

"Can I borrow your phone?"

Chandler looked at Lynne. She looks like a child asking for a candy. Chandler quickly comply with Lynne.

"You should go to CEO Lu" Chandler is hesitant, he doesn't want to leave Lynne and he also want to be with his brother.

After Lynne reassuring that she's okay.

handler reluctantly went back to his brothers room.

Using Chandler's phone, Secretary Lynne browse through the internet, to see the topic "Fire in water", "CEO LU" and "Lu Corporation Anniversary" in most top researched in the engine.

She quickly punched some numbers.

After some time, the line is answered and her response was quick and fast without wasting a second.

"Get ready. We are having a meeting in less than an hour." She said firmly before hanging up.

She hastily removed the needle in her hand and pressed the wound for a while.

She punched another set of numbers and waited for the other line.

"Kira, buy me a set of suit pants... any color will do.... and a size 8 half slip flat shoes.... yes..." and the call ended.

Lynne walk out her room more like dragging her foot. She walks in a manner of someone sprained their ankle.

She saw the room across her door, the word VVIP is inscribe in the door. It's heavily guarded and not everyone is allowed to get in.

People walk past to her. This people do not even feel and notice her presence.

Hauled a cab, she arrived at the company. Seeing that there's a lot of people in front of the company building, her forehead form lines.

Cameras clicking, flashing of lights and shuttering sound of photos taking and the voices of diffent anchors and reporters from different media flat formsmade her frown even more.

Lynne did not use the main door to enter the building, instead she used the door at the back of the building.

The ones that are use for waste disposal. Questioning look is thrown at her, she's still wearing the hospital gown and her hair laid down, showing a chocolate color that just above her waist, cut in layered and have curly ends.

Secretary Lynne wear her hair up in a ponytail and was always straight.

They never thought that secretary Lynne had a natural curly wavey hair, that looks like from a doll.

They all know that secretary Lynne and CEO Lu are both in the hospital. Now, people in the company are confused in the situation but they still bring themselves to greet her.

As Lynne passed by the employees, she overheard a conversation.

"Hey. Did you know that boss is injured?"

"Yea. Maybe the heaven is punishing him. He was never kind to us. Serves him - - - -"

The woman was not able to finished her words, as Lynne interrupted her.

"If you happen to have any sparetime in your hands, give me your resignation letter or I'll fire you. I don't need people who will talk behind my back, in the future."

Their jaws dropped, almost reaching the floor. The employees who have witnessed what happen, felt the cold run through their spine making them shiver in fear.

They clearly saw the demon, and this time, it was not CEO Lu.

The word about secretary Lynne firing an employee herself, spread like fire.

She's a magnanimous person, she's willing to forgive and be fair in every situation. She never fired someone and you can say that Lynne is their only salvation from CEO Lu.

All eyes are now looking at her confused. 'What happened to her?'

She is now dressed in dark green pantsuit with matching same colored blazer. Her hair remain untied and flowing as she walks through the meeting room.

Lynne's eyes spotted the empty chair of the CEO which made her hands balled in fist.

She have a seat on the her chair, which is located in the left of the CEO's chair. Chandler's seat was also vacant. As she thought about that, Linda is running towards her, saying that she have a phone call.

"Who is it?" She ask, boredly.

"It's the COO." Linda said.

Lynne took the phone, she left Chandlers phone in her hospital bed, and her phone is nlstill not available.

"H--- what welcome her is a defeaning scream. "COME BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!"

"Later." and with that she ended the call. Handing the wireless company phone back to Linda, she said. "If someone ask for my audience, ask their name and tell them that I'll call them back."

Linda gulped as she look at Lynne, she can't find her voice. She look at her eyes, she feels like this is not the Lynne she used to speak to.

Her eyes are void of emotion and blank, the way she act is the opposite of warm. You can't tell what she is thinking, and although she smiles, that didn't help at all. Her smile send chills and it is uncomfortable for those who are present.

Linda's knees almost drop, and she can only nod.

"Good. Now let's start. Fill me." Lynne said as she laid her back on the chair, closing her eyes.

They all stared at each other. Then throw a look, nudging those who are near at them, contemplating whose going to talk first.

"Any minute now." Lynne remark, send them sitting straight. All of them are now anxious, they where never this anxious even with CEO Lu.

'It is a good thing that her eyes are close.' They thought.

They all fill her, all the information they have, one after another.

The order of COO to suppress the news about the fire in the 10th year anniversary. That quite help but didn't managed to hold them for a little longer that caused of plummeting company stock, the demands of the board members and also the damage in the reputation of Lu Corporation and CEO Lu.

There was no reported injured after the incident, but people who are greedy are claiming to be on the deaths door as they speak.

After listening to them, she opened her eyes and look at them one by one.

She look at Mira, representative of PR department.

"Mira, get all the names of the injured people in the incident, get them treated and make them sign nondisclosure agreement - - -

And then to Clark also a representative from PR dept.

- - - Clark, contact Stems and Petals, and ask them for flowers suited for apologizing, have it sent to all the guest present that night. - - -

To Mary, represents the advertisement department.

- - - Mary, I need you to release some articles about the charity events that Lu Corporation has sponsored. Spread the word of CEO Lu is an angel, Soft hearted CEO Lu and Generous CEO Lu.

I don't want to see anything related to fire and the anniversary. - - -

And to Jen and Len the twins of legislative dept.

- - - Jen and Len, I want to sue all the persons, involve in defamation and libel of CEO Lu, I will not spare anyone.

Lynne get up on her foot and said.

"I want to see results in the next two hours. Dismiss."

"Yes, Secretary Lynne." They said in unison.

This is the secretary Lynne they knew for the past five years, but this is beyond the recognition.

With this kind of talent, why she's just working for a secretarial job?

She always have the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively in a nick of time. They are all in awe, they always knew what secretary Lynne can do, and wondered why she is just a secretary.

Everyone noticed, that they can't afford to offend her.

Out of the meeting room, Linda is waiting for her, with a phone and paper in her hands, she walks along with secretary Lynne.

Lynne just grabbed the papers she's holding and told her,

"Give me all the list of guest and employees present in the 10th year anniversary celebration." and with that said, Linda left and Lynne get back to her desk and start digging in her keyboard and scanning through the papers piled in her desk.

She skimmed through the contracts and the project that needs CEO Lu's approval. Out of the piled folders, she managed to finalized six folders that needs to be signed, immediately.

Linda is back with a long list and a flash drive. Secretary Lynne smiled.

Her hands are curled into fist, her eyes turned dark and her bloodlust began to build.

She can clearly remember all the faces that she encountered that night.

Grabing her laptop, the six folders, the list and the flash drive that Linda gave her, and she's ready to get back to the hospital. She needs atleast the COO signature in these six folders.

As she leave the company building, she saw the medias and reporters is slowly moving and leaving their post.

Dissappearing one by one

It happened all too fast and in a blink of an eye.

The tables have been turned.
