(Morning)
"That will be a total of 10 divine crystals," the receptionist said slowly after confirming all the beast cores in front of her were real.
The entire Black Feather Merchant Guild went silent, if a feather was falling down then the sound of the wind rustling down could be heard.
After a good 30 seconds, people immediately started to break into mutterings and chatter.
"Is that real?" A man muttered in curiosity to a random stranger that was browsing wares next him.
"I-I don't even know," The man stammered and shook his head at the question that was thrown to him out of the blue – even for all the years he had lived, he has never seen someone ever hand over that many sky and earth tier beast cores.
Conservations just like these were going on all around the building, no-one was sure of what to think of the situation in front of them – it had simply never happened before.
The receptionist slowly handed over a spatial ring that contained 10 divine crystals, countless eyes of greed, envy and jealousy stared at the ring.
No matter how greedy or jealous they were, they didn't dare to move in fear of offending the Black Feather Merchant Guild.
I grabbed it carelessly and chucked it in my pocket while cries of anger and injustice shouted out.
The people were furious at seeing a fortune that will probably never see again in their lives being treated like it was nothing.
"Ok, let's go." I said as we left the shock-ridden building.
No-one had any dumb thoughts of trying to rob us, the power we must've had to slay all those beasts would definitely put off any greedy thoughts.
With the money I now had, it was more than sufficient to start my plans of conquering the business side of the world.
I had already noticed in Floating Cloud City, wine and tea was very popular, but no-one had really developed the industry. Rich or poor, powerful or weak, they all enjoyed wine and tea. The industry had great potential.
Naturally the next thing I was going to do was buy a shop somewhere in the capital, with the amount of money I had, it surely wouldn't be a problem.
We walked around the capital of Blue Wind Empire, looking for a shop that was for sale. We had come across a few stores, but they were either too small or had horrible placement.
Finally, we had almost made a full loop around the whole capital until we found a medium-sized shop a few blocks away from Black Feather Merchant Guild.
'For Sale' it read, unlike the others, it didn't specify how much money the owner wanted nor did it advertise it as much as others.
I eyed it in interest then walked in through its doors that were neither too grand nor small. Walking in, the light golden lighting gave off a homecoming feeling, and the planks of wood decorated it created a warm feeling. The small but wholesome fire on the side also welcomed people to come and bask in its warmth.
"Nice place," I thought aloud as my interest was further peaked when looking around the building.
"Thank you," an old elderly voice spoke out from behind the table near the back of building, an elderly woman sat on the chair, knitting, seeming done with life.
Noticing her lifeless eyes, I assumed that she had most likely lost her family members and her will to live.
"How much do you want for this place?" I asked to get a slight feeling of the price she wanted.
"Revenge." She answered, not looking up.
I furrowed my eyebrows in annoyance, revenge could either be a simple or a very complicated thing, depending on who the target was.
"Who?"
"Burning Heaven Sect." The woman answered in a monotonous tone, as if this question had been asked a million times.
Burning Heaven Sect… From what Ying'er and Xi'er told me about the power structure of Blue Wind Empire, they seem to rank in the top 4 sects in this region. This was truly going to be troublesome, especially with me just starting out.
"I'll deliver it 6 months later," I said in confidence, with my current abilities I could take them down straight away but that will just draw attention to me, I needed some time to set up everything before I take down the top 4 sects.
Upon hearing that someone had actually answered yes, the woman was startled before she narrowed her eyes down in suspicion.
"Prove it to me," She said warily, unwilling to trust someone she just met.
I let out the aura of 6th level Sky Profound Realm while Yue'er behind me also emitted her 8th level Earth Profound Realm.
Sensing the auras that had the capability to avenge her family the woman immediately said "Yes," but she also took an old parched paper from the table.
The runes inscribed onto the paper show that the terms of a contract, more specifically, the revenge contract for the store. Reading the terms, it seems in addition to the store, she will also add in all the money she has gained and countless pills.
"I want the store now and the rest can come later," I said after looking over the terms and deciding that I didn't like how I will only get the store after the revenge has completed.
Nodding her head, she had no choice but to accept it, she was far weaker than me and especially in a world like this where strength power.
She was already quite thankful that I didn't forcefully take away her property and belongings.
After dropping a bit of my golden blood onto the paper, a massive rune appeared over my head and hers.
I turned around and smiled at Yue'er who looked displeased at me, "Should we get started?"
