Meraki Sagepice woke up at the hospital with no memory of who she is or what had transpired. She just remained there, an empty shell of a human.
That is, until a woman in a suit appeared to her and pledged loyalty to her in a blood pact. With that, a sudden and painful bloodlust consumed her entire consciousness. 
Who is she? Who is this woman? And why is the Sagepice family so feared?

Outrun The Truth

I jolted, like one waking up from a dream and looked around me, everything is still in the same place as it was before. Jasmine sat opposite to me and the other two are still in bed.

So why do I feel like I paused for a second there?

"Jasmine. Can we go out of the room?" I asked, getting bored just sitting in one place.

"I wouldn't recommend that, Meraki," Jasmine said, roaming the room impatiently.

"Why not? Is it not safe here?" I asked, observing her reaction for any signs that may give something away.

A quick glance sideways from Jasmine confirmed my suspicions. They don't want me to be seen by anyone outside. But why?

"Well, I wouldn't say that it isn't safe. It is."

"Just not for me, right?" I looked up at her as surprise came over her face while she struggled to dismiss my query.
