That is, until a woman in a suit appeared to her and pledged loyalty to her in a blood pact. With that, a sudden and painful bloodlust consumed her entire consciousness.

Outrun The Truth

The poison in Aurora's body is fading away. She can move her fingers now but her entire attention is on the waters.

She is propped against the trunk of a tree in an odd déjà vu moment by Jasmine. In front of her is the lake Meraki got sucked into.

Not a single bubble or a movement on the surface came and it's been too long. Even if Meraki is able to hold her breath for a long time, it is too long even now.

"Aurora! Aurora! Look at me!" She started trembling as the scene appeared in front of her.

Meraki was barely eleven when they went to go for a trip to the sea. She has always wanted to touch the sand herself and her parents were too busy to have the time to take her.

They also thought it was too dangerous for her to get close to deep water bodies. Meraki had always been clumsy and they didn't want to risk anything that they may regret.
