"I don't remember hearing about this," Kefi said, sitting at the roots of the tree while looking at the charm. 

"You must have been still asleep at that time. It was bizarre and dangerous. For the first time in a long time, all the different spirits had to be called to a place and inhabit a single body to right the wrongs at that moment." 

"How long ago was that?" 

"Not that long, actually. It's barely been forty years since that incident." 

"What?" Kefi stood up, water splashing around. "Only forty years? Then why isn't anyone talking about it? Why is everyone acting like it happened hundreds of years ago?" 

"I don't know. I haven't been to the surface." It said in an almost teasing manner. "Kefi, the problem is gone and I think you have other things to worry about." 

"Right," Kefi said, sitting back down. "I don't know why I can't seem to stop thinking about it now that you have brought it to my attention."
