"Damn you plan ahead, Meraki." Kefi teased. "I am surprised that you are someone like that."

"She always plans everything ahead of time." he laughed. "It was interesting, if I am being honest." 

"Please get on with the story," I said, thinking. "Wait, how long have we been gone?" 

"Time flows differently here, don't worry, Meraki." He said, still sitting on the railing with a smile on his face. "It is much slower. Hardly a minute would have passed over there." 

"That is reassuring," I said, turning back to him. "Continue." 

"Ok, you know that we have a very ... contractual type of relationship, right?" He asked, tilting his head to me as his expression became serious. "All the children of the five families knew each other and are obligated to know each other. 

"Just because we are the children and also to develop some kind of connections for ourselves in the future. You were the one that everyone was nice to because you were nice to them.
