The time passed slowly without them realizing, as they continued to train and strengthen themselves daily.
Eiji and Kakashi were already 9 years old, and little had changed recently. One thing that changed was that Kakashi did not become a chunin.
Ever since Kakashi discovered what the village did to his father, he started following one of his brother's advice.
Be discreet!
Hiding his ninja abilities, talents, as well as his progress in his daily training with Minato. This wasn't too difficult, as his sensei rarely taught him properly or anything useful.
Kakashi had to be very careful with Minato. He was an extremely capable and perceptive jonin, capable of noticing anything out of the ordinary.
As a sensei, Minato was useless, probably learned that from Jiraiya. The art of being a useless and absent teacher.
Don't get me wrong; as a ninja, he was extremely talented, remarkable, and excellent, but as a teacher, he wasn't good.
Maybe if he had taught his team better, Obito and Rin wouldn't have died so easily.
Being a good ninja and being a good teacher are two completely different things.
Eiji focused more on fuinjutsu, despite his high capacity to absorb information, he hadn't reached an advanced level! The study of fuinjutsu is vast and profound.
He was also trying to execute Fuinjutsu with the letters from his old world, without using any letters that existed in the Naruto world.
Another reason for his slow progress was because he was disguising his level of understanding, so Kushina couldn't reveal any information to Minato.
After all, she would brag about her cute genin's exploits to him, and Minato would tell Hiruzen Sarutobi, and, of course, Danzo would receive this information. It never hurts to be cautious.
Or paranoid.
Information is power, and the less information someone has about him, the better.
That wasn't all, Eiji started studying biology, physiology, human structure, blood vessels, muscles, Tenketsu, everything in minutes to be safe and also to carry out his future plans.
It wasn't impossible to do all this. With his incredible ability to absorb information, his studies went from success to success.
There were some books that Tsunade herself had published and written. Eiji wasted little time when he saw those books and quickly bought them using a transformation jutsu.
Since he wasn't looking to kill, he might as well heal, right? It wouldn't hurt to try to imitate Tsunade to a great extent and have the ability to defend himself at the same time.
If a person was hurt and injured? And you couldn't kill or fight? Heal them to fight and kill more for you!
That was Eiji's logic: heal until they can't be healed anymore to fight, then find another maniac person to heal and fight for you again!
While Eiji was lost in his thoughts, talking to the beyond, someone came up behind him slowly and asked calmly.
Kakashi was lying on the ground, complaining about the heat.
"Why do you keep looking at Guy?"
Recognizing the voice, Eiji didn't even bother to look away and responded with more questions. "What do you see when you look at him? And what do you think? What's so different about him?" His voice came out slow as if he were too lazy to speak.
The sun was still rising; it was so early, and the heat was already scorching. Even though he was in the shade of the veranda and surrounded by trees that blocked the sunlight, it was still extremely hot.
Kakashi realized that the person wasn't talking to him, but he still paid close attention to the conversation. He usually was indifferent and uninterested, but he liked Guy a lot, despite not expressing it.
"A boy with overwhelming determination that would make the rest of the shinobi think twice before claiming to train hard in front of this boy," Kushina said after watching Guy for a few seconds. She had to admit she had never seen anyone train as intensely as that boy. It was as if his life would end if he stopped training for a second.
"You're right! But that's not all," Eiji said after watching Guy trying to perfect his new Taijutsu.
I'll be honest!
"I'm jealous of him," Eiji admitted.
Kushina raised her eyebrows and looked curious at Eiji, and got a little scared as she looked at him and realized he wasn't joking.
"Why?" That was all that came out of her mouth. While Kakashi seemed to be even more focused on the conversation.
"He doesn't have anything; no ability, no talent, no clan, no money even to buy some equipment to improve his growth," Guy continued to train intensely with various weights on his body with a fierce and relentless will, oblivious to all the talk about him.
"All the money Duy earns is to pay his bills, clothes, ninja academy, some equipment like kunai and shurikens, food and basic needs, and other ninja utilities."
"Constantly doing D and C-rank missions because he couldn't do B-rank missions as his body is so tired that it reduced his strength by 50%. He still has to take care of Guy, the house, food, educate and train himself and dives straight into missions without a break."
They were surprised at how much information Eiji had about them. "Where are you going with this, Eiji?" Kushina didn't understand why he said all this.
Eiji ignored her comment and continued speaking as if he was alone. "Even with an extremely busy father, Guy still had some support from him. But all of this disappeared when he left the house."
"Humiliated, discouraged, insulted, shameful nicknames, rejection, bullying, no mother to give him some comfort or maternal protection, saying that his mother ran away." Eiji sighed. "He was verbally attacked in every way, almost falling into depression."
His gaze became serious as he focused on the green figure trying to walk on the wall and failing pathetically. A laugh came out of Kushina's mouth as she saw the scene.
"But he didn't give up; he kept facing all adversities with claws and teeth, his determination and courage go beyond what any of us imagine. He dreams of a podium, and failure is not an option."
He doesn't give up!
Eiji smiled. "Some people start something and give up halfway; some people don't even try out of fear, and then there's people like Guy who aren't afraid to move forward, not taking to heart what they say or do to him. He'll endure until he dies and never let his dream fall."
"He was born to be a winner in this life, and I will help him with that," Eiji clasped his hands with an unknown excitement.
Kakashi was a little surprised by everything his brother said; he had heard a lot about the guy. But never in so much detail... He made a mental note to help Guy more.
In a way that no one would notice, of course.
Kushina looked at him with pity and promised to buy more ramen for Guy once he finished training.
"And then, one day, he will declare to the world. Do you want clones with or without the Eight Gates opened?"
Eiji couldn't wait to
see what would happen in the future and how his interference would affect what was to come.
