After the building had become quiet, Mew took a long and relaxing nap. At his side were many types of berries and other food. When he woke up he would be able to eat to his hearts content.
Having enjoyed his relaxing time basking in the sun, eating berries and taking occasional relaxing naps, Mew decided he would spend the day following around the quirky professor Oak.
Professor Oak was happily laughing most of the time, the other times he would be spending time with the Pokemon in the field, receiving Pokemon from trainers to take care off or talking with the other researchers.
Mew was mostly interested in the times when Pokemon would be sent this way. It was through some funny looking box. Professor Oak would be talking to a person on the other side of the box. Following that a bright light would appear inside the box from which a poke ball came. Professor Oak would open the pokeball in the lab and then study the Pokemon that popped out of it. After that it would be left to enjoy itself on the terrains behind the lab.
The day of professor Oak would be spent like that. Talk, talk, research, receive pokeball, send pokeball away, eat, feed Pokemon, sleep. The sequence would often change and there would be more meals in between. Occasionally, a bit of poetry and Haiku's were made as well, though Mew wasn't really interested in them.
Mew yawned as he had seen most of it. Once everything was seen, things quickly became boring once more. Mew's fascination to new things only lasted as long as his curiosity was peaked after all.
Mew would occasionally move things around, much to the dismay of the assistants as they were fervently looking for their stuff. Even when they locked it up inside a locker, Mew happily teleported inside and again hid the items in inconspicuous places.
Every time it happened, the assistants would complain, while professor Oak would chatter in excitement at the thought of a possible ghost or psychic Pokémon hanging around.
When Mew pranked them again and again, the assistants couldn't take it anymore, some giving up while others were sticking a metal box to the ceiling. Surveilance they called it, though Mew did not know what that word meant at all. It wasn't food, that was for sure!
Mew curiously watched them install it, tapping against it from time to time to see if it would move.
Not getting the reaction he wanted, Mew continued to watch the assistants work.
At the end of the day they stuffed away the important papers and funny looking materials, a strange smile on their lips.
Mew waited until they all left the building, except for professor Oak as he seemed to live there.
Once they were all gone, Mew revealed himself and watched his distorted reflection on the round glass part of the metal box on the ceiling.
Mew made a lot of funny faces at the reflecting glass, his face distorting in strange and exciting ways.
Giggling, Mew spun around in the air after which he played his usual prank of hidding the items tucked away in the locker. It was his favorite past time after all.
Not long after he had hid them, a loud heavy sound was heard from the second floor, as if something heavy had fallen down.
Mew teleported towards it to see if it could be something interesting and exciting, but instead he saw footage of himself on a big flat screen.
Professor Oak watched with wonder at the Pokémon that had apparently been pranking his assistants. Mew watched from behind professor Oak at the screen, as he giggled behind his paws.
Professor Oak silently cast a gaze over his shoulder and saw the Pokémon in question looking at the screen in wonder.
Mew looked on and only noticed the look of apparant shock on professor Oak's face until much later.
He found the gapping mouth hilarious as he started to copy Oak's facial expressions, followed by a loud giggle from glee. This Oak guy wasn't so boring after all!
