3. FLIGHT

The main path is like a bridge on a lake with clear water. It also has a lot of beautiful flowers in different colors, marks of snowflakes, and a harmonious sound playing while you take a step.

"I never expected Praeterei to be this elegant. It feels like a paradise." Salus said.

"This kingdom may be an aesthetic place but you never know when trouble happens." Ancora said.

"What do you mean with troubles? Maybe like a group of wolves hunting you? Or someone trying to cease you to death?" Salus asked.

"Even worse." Ancora answered.

A few minutes later, the temperature started to decrease instantaneously. It was like 20°C before. It instantly went to 5°C just for a few minutes.

"THIS IS WHAT I MEAN WITH 'EVEN WORSE'. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN." Ancora shouted as she got cold.

"OKAY I CHANGED MY MIND, THIS PLACE IS BOTH A PARADISE AND A NIGHTMARE. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?" Salus loudly asked.

"I DON'T EVEN KNOW. IN FACT, I THINK NOBODY KNOWS WHY." Ancora loudly answered.

A few minutes later, the temperature went back to 20°C. Both of them felt like it's cold hell, in which it definitely is. They continued to walk again after fighting the cold temperature.

While walking, Salus and Ancora end up on a hollow snow wall and notice four large brittle ropes connected to the top of the wall. These ropes are tied together like a braid. They were thinking that maybe if they untied the braid they can climb up, and so they tried.

"Hey, Ancora. You noticed that right?"

"What?"

"I tried untangling a part, but the snow wall actually just goes up. I think by tangling the ropes we can actually bring down the snow wall so that we can go up."

"But the ropes are brittle. What if it might break and actually launch you up and possibly die when you fall down?"

"I don't know but the only thing we can do is to try."

Salus tangled the ropes strongly. The ropes become broken and the wall rises. Apparently, an object, similar to an elevator, appeared from underground. They have no choice but to enter there. The elevator took them down.

"Hey Ancora, do we have to use what the forest offers us?" Salus asked.

"It's all on your head. You never know what offers you. It can be for your benefit or your extinction." Ancora answered.

They heard the voice of someone.

"Congratulations. You found out. Apparently most people tried climbing up and got blasted above. I never knew how you found out that what continues behind the wall is pure emptiness."

"Emptiness? You mean this isn't a dead end?" Salus asked.

"Yes. Congratulations." The voice comes closer. "I am pleased to meet you. I am Fuga Recuso."

"Saving? I didn't do anything for you. This is an offer of the kingdom. But am I the good offer or the bad offer? Good luck."
