Shinji's POV

Hmm, it looks like there is really no one keeping track of me. So, that means I may start the ritual. What type of ritual and why I am so paranoid? Well, to explain it I would need to rewind everything that happened in the last 2 weeks. I was reading quite an interesting book, something like a magical bestiary. I was particularly interested in the paragraph about certain Phantasmal Species when I was rudely interrupted by Byakuya.

Byakuya: Shinji pack your things. For the next year will be living in England.

After that, he gave me a long speech about the importance of adaptability and self-reliance. And studying abroad helps me with that. Not that I was against it. Actually, I would be the happiest person in the world if I could just never come back to Matou residence. However, it would be too good to be true. In my past life, I frequently visited the type-moon wiki, and I have read Sinji's page. So, I know that Sinji was sent to study abroad in order to prevent him from learning about his uncle's death. I suspect that the sole reason why he is trying to save Sakura only because of his feelings towards her mother. Well, I am not one to judge him. After all, I did nothing to help her. Unfortunately, Sakura has remained in Japan in order to continue her training. Well, that is what Zouken said. So, mow I am stuck in Essex. Fortunately, Matou family like many other ancient magus bloodlines are filthy rich so my stay here was more than comfortable. I bought my self-one of the "newest" laptops or how they currently are known as portable computers. I am going to use it in order to store some personal data and the results of my personal research. I was a 3rd-year college student that majored in applied mathematics and physics in my past life, plus my perfect memory and fact that there are not much to learn in the field yet allowed me to become expert in computer since quite fast. And I currently saving some of my huge allowance in order to invest them when prospective tech companies like Google emerge. Other than that I visit the local library every day and aced in school, but this are unimported. Thankfully Sinji was quite a bright boy and already knew English, so I did not have to mask my knowledge of the language that I learned before inhabiting my current body.

Now let's talk about the ritual itself and how I am going to perform it if I have magical potential so low that even stray magus would not experiment on me. Well, that is too heavily related to the book that I was reading before being forced to leave Japan. You see. I have already known that magical beast that was described in the book, and that knowledge came from my past unmagical life. The beast itself is Phantom Netherdrake or how it will be known in the far future if my theory is correct it would be called Rainbow Salamander are giant lizard 3 meters tall whose skin changed color depending on how the light hit it and with basic telepathic abilities. After further research, I was able one more creature that comes from the same universe the Bizarro Bane. A shapeshifter monster whose original appearance is a blurry, transparent shadow with a ghostly-blue single eye. Around the eye were similar eyes but smaller. If I am right then the universe that I resaid in is not only known through Fate series but also was described in the particular web novel the lord of the mysteries. And the ritual that I am going to perform is one used by the protagonist of the said novel that was able to perform it while being a normal human without any supernatural abilities. I know that the probability of my conjecture being true is minuscule, but it is my only hope to obtain the power needed for my survival that I have found in almost half a year of time since my transmigration. I have already placed food in the four corners of the room and all what is left for me is to make four counterclockwise steps and chant. Now let's start.

And then I closed my eyes and waited for 5 minutes, and those 5 minutes were the longest 5 minutes in my life. I almost lost hope when the ritual has shown its effects. My head explodes with pain and I started to hear hundreds if not thousands of various voices telling something that I could not understand. I did not know for how long it continued, but at one moment all faces faded away and there was no more pain. So, I opened my eyes and was mesmerized by what I saw. A magnificent Palace covered by mysterious fog appeared before me It did not look like anything I ever saw, and did not even look like its version described in the novel where it was described to be in a palace Greco-Roman style. Instead, it looked more eastern, like a combination of ancient Chinese and Middle Eastern architecture with a little bit of Minoan added. There was no bronze table with 22 seats anywhere in sight and the palace or castle was so enormous that it made me feel like an ant, and the fog was really mysterious vibrating with some unknown power. And when I looked under my feet instead of floor or land, I saw an endless night sky full of stars. And then I heard the voice full of power and mystery that was both male and female at the same time.
