Lisa's identity
Lisa's POV
There was a thick tension dancing in the air, we sit knee deep in silence. The faucet drips into the sink, each one reverberating around the room like a cymbal, yet no-one blinks or moves to stop it. Outside there is no traffic or bird song, by now it must be midnight- the time in which today becomes tomorrow.
Dad walks back and forth in front of us, breathing audibly, he will look onto us for a second then continue pacing back and forth again. We sit like a bunch of kid waiting for him to scold us for what we've done. Then the moment he stopped from walking, I held Sydney's arm tightly, my breathe hitches when he looked straight at me with anger on his eyes.
"Why Lisa?" He started, his voice was still calm but who knows if he was just holding back his anger after finding out that I already quit from my job but I never told them.
"S-sorry Dad." I mumbles and lower my head, I can't look back to him as his gaze was really scary.
I heard him sigh and the sounds of the couch screeching, telling me that he sat down slowly at that. "You quit in your job without telling us but you're still going out? What's your excuse young lady?"
"I-I w-went b-back–." I can barely finished my word as I felt that he was glaring at me. It feels like, if I came up with such unacceptable reason, he will snap. Sydney squeezed my hand subtly and she take over but just before she could open her mouth, Dad held his palm in the air to stop her.
"I was talking to my daughter." He said sternly.
"But Sir–."
"No Sydney, I want to know her reason from her because you clearly know that Lisa doesn't know how to lie."
I tugged Sydney's sleeve to stop her from talking back again, she look at me and sigh after. "Are you really going to tell him?" She asked whispering.
"I have no choice and he also needs to know because he's the husband." I whispered back before shifting my gaze back to Dad and sigh deeply to recompose myself before telling him the truth. "Dad, the truth is, mommy's illness is getting worse so I have to quit my job and find a new one to earn a lot of money for her surgery."
"How come you didn't tell me about all of this Lisa?!"
"Because I don't want you to stress yourself as you already are." I replied.
He massage his temples while eyes clenching and he sighs exasperatedly. "Lisa, I'm the father in this house, I supposed to know what's going on with your mom, with you and with everything in this damn house."
"I know that Dad, but you were stressed enough and I don't want you to think about mom's illness anymore when I can come up with a solution all by myself."
"What solution?" He asked and that's when the nervousness came back to me, I don't know if it's a good idea to tell him about going underground, my parents keep reminding me not to go in that kind of place and if I tell him that I earn enough of money for mom's operation because of that place, I am surely dead.
I turn to Sydney, as if I'm asking for her help and she quickly understand me, perks of being best friend for a long time. She can understand me with just a look in the eyes.
"She's working as a dance choreographer."
"A dance choreographer? I thought she already gave up in dancing?"
"I'm not, and my salary as a choreographer are much better than being a crew in a coffee shop." I said to give justice to Sydney's lies.
"Ok then, I'm relieved that you're not going in underground and working as choreographer instead." He said before heaving himself up from the couch. "But I want to know what's your mom condition."
"Where are you going?" I asked while looking up to him.
"I'm checking her out, I'll be back." He said and go upstairs to their room.
When Dad was away from our earshot, I released a lungful sigh and sulk on the couch. "This is the first time I lied to Dad."
"White lies Lisa."
"Even so, it's still a lie." I replied.
"By the way, what was Jisoo wants?" Sydney asked.
"Ridiculous things, such as marrying Jennie and come with them, I don't know. I think she's on drugs." I snickered as I remember Jisoo's proposal. It will never be not funny when she told me that she'll cure my mom but I had to marry Jennie in return.
"What if she's telling the truth?"
I stopped from laughing after seeing how serious Sydney's face when she said those words. I looked at her insanely before bursting out into a loud laugh.
"Don't tell me you're going to believe that? Syd, marrying Jennie was an absurd idea, what more Jisoo that she can cure my mom?" I said between my laugh. I was laughing my ass off but Sydney's face still neutral while looking outside the window, it's as if she was looking to someone and then I felt it, I felt that someone was really outside the window. "Who's that?" I asked and sat straight. "The fuck is that?!" I asked when I saw a shadow moved in the dark.
"Don't." Sydney stopped me when I was about to check the window, I look back to her quizzically and my forehead furrowed when I saw her brown eyes turn into golden.
"Syd, your e-eyes?"
"Go to your room now Lisa." I snapped my head upstairs when I heard Dad's voice. "Syd–!"
"I know Sir." Sydney cut off my Dad and she stood up. "Let's go Lisa."
"W-wait wait!" I complain when Sydney dragged me upstairs and we both head straight to my room, she ran to my window to make sure that it's lock before walking back to me. "Why are you so worked up Syd? What's going on?"
"They're here, I need to call the girls." She said in a panic while looking for her phone in every pocket of her jeans.
"Who's here? What do you mean?" I asked confusedly. She didn't answer me, instead, she starts dialing on her phone.
"Hey Happy? I need you here, come quick!"
"What the fuck is going on Sydney? You're scaring the shit out of me!" I yelled and that's when I got her attention. She looked at me with her eyes in distress and keep looking on my back. "Sydney your eyes–."
A loud knock from my door cut me off again, Sydney ran into it and Dad was standing there. "Lisa, I want you to come with me."
"W-what? Why?"
"Just come with me Lisa." He insist and grabbed my hand before dragging me towards their room. When we stepped inside their room, I saw mom sitting in the middle of the bed with her eyes glimmer in tears and she looks scared for whatever reason it is, I ran quickly to her and sat beside her. "Stay here with your mom and don't you ever dare to leave her alone okay?"
"Dad what's going on–."
"Promise me, Lisa!"
"Fine! I promise!" I yelled back and mom hugged me to soothe me, because this confusing moment made me loose my sanity and I yelled back on my Dad which is I never did before.
"Urgh! I hate to do this!" Dad said which added to my confusion. He walked over one of the drawer and took out a bottle of perfume before walking back near the bed. "Cover your nose honey." He said before spraying the perfume on me. "I'm sorry Lisa."
"What the–." I didn't had the chance to react as I smelled the perfume that Dad sprayed at me and everything went black.

JENNIE'S POV
"Jennie!" A loud voice call out my name and my door swung open abruptly causing me to clutch my chest in shocked and it revealed Chaeyoung in a horror. "They're at Lisa's house!"
"Those motherfucker doesn't want to stop huh?!" I said and jumped off of the bed. I grabbed my robe to cover my nightgown because I was about to sleep before Chaeyoung barged into my room. Even though, vampires doesn't really sleep, but who cares? I still want to do it.
"Babe, please just stay here." Jisoo, who is already waiting downstair, said.
"I can't, nor would I feel at ease, especially if I knew you're in a m dangerous situation." Chaeyoung said when we both finally stopped in front of Jisoo.
"But I don't want that incident to happen again."
"Then I won't let it happen, please babe? I want to help." Chaeyoung pleaded and cupped Jisoo's face.
Jisoo sigh exasperatedly before nodding her head and look at me. "Let's go." She said.
The four of us run into Lisa's house, when we got there, we already saw Sydney's squad fighting with Jim's army. I clenched my hands into a tight fist ball and look for their oh-so-called prince. I saw him standing behind his 6 subordinates while watching Sydney and her cousins struggling to beat the vampires.
"You seriously need to stop you fucking assholes!" I yelled which cause them to stopped from fighting and whipped their heads at us.
"Oh look, the princess are also here." Jim stated the obvious. "How many times do I have to tell you to surrender that girl to us?"
"And how many times do I have to warn you to stop going near to Lisa?!" I asked back while tying my robe tightly. "Do you really want to end up headless?!"
"You've been lucky in our last fight Ruby Jane, but not now." He said cockily and look at Tommy. "She's all yours now Tom."
I look at Tommy disgustingly when he lick his lower lip. "I've been wanting to taste your blood Princess Jennie." He said while walking slowly towards me.
"Oops! Sorry Tommy, but you need to beat me first before you–."
"No Chu, let me rip his head off on my own, I really hate how he looked down to me." I said and pushed Jisoo and Chaeyoung on the side and stepped out. "You want to taste my blood? Then try it if you can." I said to provoke him.
"Oh c'mon, stop provoking me or I'll drain all of your blood."
"Are you gay? You talked too much." I snort a laugh.
"No, you and your friends are the gay here." He retaliated.
Ok? He got me there, because Jisoo and Chaeyoung are really gay, Sana? I don't know, she never admit that she's gay. And me? I'm not, I'm straight as fuck but since my Dad wants me to marry a woman, does it mean that I'm also gay? I think the fuck not.
"Let's just fight." I said dismissively and storms towards him, I tried to reach for his head but he was quick to dodge my attack but not to quick because he got a cut on his face because of my nail. "Oops! Sorry." I said sarcastically when I saw how his eyes widened while his hand's shaking and slowly touching his face.
"Y-you ruined my face."
"Actually, I was reaching for your head but you dodged me." I said bored and look to my friends, they were already helping Sydney to defeat the other enemies.
"You're going to pay for this." Tommy said, he move so fast that I didn't dodge the blow he gave me and because I was looking to my friends. I nearly stumble on the floor but I refrained it from happening.
"Oops! Sorry." He copied my words earlier when he successfully landed a blow on my cheek.
I spit on the ground and saw the blood came out from me. I wiped the blood dripping from the cut on my lips and smirk at him. "Is that all you've got?" I asked cockily and without a warning, I storms towards him and give him a much stronger blow which cause him to intersect on the wall.
"Tommy!" Jim shouted his name and ran towards him. "Goddamn it!"
"Wake him up, I'm not done with him yet." I said and cracked my neck left and right, as if I was only getting started. "Wake that shit up!" I shouted but it looks like Tommy was already unconscious. "What a fucking bastard." I hissed as I ripped off the head of the vampire who blocked my way towards them. "I said wake him up or y'all are gonna die tonight!" I can feel the anger inside me starts to rose up, my eyes turns into a deep shade of red, pointed fangs slowly showing out and my true pale skin come out with veins all over my face.
"Jisoo's Christ! Jennie no!" Chaeyoung shouted and ran towards me but Jisoo grabbed her arm just before she could touch me.
"Don't touch her!" She warns her girlfriend. "Or she'll kill you too." She added. I can hear everything but my mind focus in only one thing, I need to kill Tommy for hurting me.
"What are we gon' do to stop her?!" Sana asked in a panic.
I was only three feet away from unconscious Tommy and trembling Jim, ready to suck their bloods, but Nathan and her other subordinates was quick to dragged them away just before I could go nearer. Another guy tried to stopped me but I quickly grabbed his head and throw him away, same with that Jun. I'm not interested in those boys because I only need Tommy's head.
"Where are you going huh?" I asked them when I blocked their way. "He's not going to hit me like that and run away." I said while stepping forward and they were stepping backward in reverse. "No no, don't be afraid, I'm just going to suck all of his stinky blood and rip his head off so he can turn into ashes."
"Stop! Don't you dare to go near us!" Jim shouted while hiding behind his men and the man that I want to kill was carried in Hoon shoulder.
"And what are you going to do?" I asked challengingly still taking steps forward. "I've already warn you Jim, stay away from Lisa, but you didn't listen to me, you really want to die huh? Then I'm–."
"Stop it." A familiar deep voice cut me off and stop me from killing the men in front of me. I snapped my head on my side and saw Marco standing in their front door. My eyes widen upon seeing him, he doesn't seem scared for whatever is happening in front of him.
"Who are you to–."
"I'm Lisa's Dad and your father in law."
My left brow automatically raised upon hearing him and stifle a laugh. "My w-what?" I asked and he really got my attention that I didn't notice Jim and his men had already escaped, along with the few left vampires. "And they escaped again." I sighs and I slowly go back to my normal human form.
"Let's go inside so everyone can take a rest for a bit." He orders and motion his finger at me to follow his order.
Like father like daughter! They're so demanding!
"You ok now Jen?" Jisoo asked cautiously, as if she's still undecided wether she'll go near me or not.
"Did I scared you?" I asked.
"You just scared the shit out of me Jen, your Dad wasn't here to stop you."
"But Lisa's Dad was here, he stopped me from killing everyone, right?" I said to dismissed the topic. "That old man!" I growl.
"Is she really that dangerous if she turned out like that?" Sana chimes in.
"Yes! You weren't still a vampire when she killed all vampires living in forbidden town after one of the vampire who lived there stole her mom's necklace and he even hurt the Queen. And if I didn't stopped Chaeyoung earlier, she must have hurt her too." Jisoo tells her while we're all going inside the Mcklein's house.
"You're scary as fuck Jen." Sydney chimes in after hearing Jisoo's story.
"Strongest vampire remember?" Jisoo said cockily.
"Not until Lisa develop her hybrid as a vampire." Sydney retorted.
"Shut up shapeshifters, no one knows how will Lisa will turn into a vampire so we still don't know if she will be one of us." Jisoo fired back.
"Stop bantering young ladies, I want you all to sit down and wait for my wife to come down." Marco reprimand, standing broadly in front of us.
"Where's Lisa?" I asked. Marco look at me with his intimidating eyes but I'm Jennie Zee, his gaze will never intimidate me.
"I put her to sleep." He answered.
I wonder how can he still stay calm after seeing bunch of werewolves and vampires fighting in front of him, does he already know? And what he said earlier left me confused, he claimed that he's my father in law, so it means that he also know what sorcery is happening, but whenever he's inside Mizaki's, he will act like innocent but all this time, he knew that we're vampires? What a great pretender!
"Oh thanks God no one was hurt." We all whipped our heads upstairs to see Mrs. Mcklein descending from the stairs, Sydney and Saddy approached her to help her from going down, they even helped her until sitting down on couch. After settling herself, she looked up to me and smiled. "Hello Jennie, we meet again." I smiled back slyly and shyly and bow my head as response. "Well, the four of you must be shocked why aren't we surprised to find out that you're a vampire."
"May I ask why?" Chaeyoung asked curiously.
"Remember when the four of you visited me the first time? Well, you really put me under your spell, but we already know know who you are when you arrived at the Mizaki's." Lisa's mom said which made us to gasped and look at her astounded. "And if you're wondering why you can put me under your power but not my daughter-"
"Yeah, I've been wondering why is that." I said.
"Lisa has this power to deflect vampires hypnotism and yes, Lisa has a blood of a vampire but it's not as strong as you expect because her real dad is a werewolf."
"But I thought he's a mortal?" Sana asked in disbelief.
"He is, but only after he dies."
"If he's a werewolf and you're a mortal then where did Lisa get the blood of the vampire?" Jisoo asked.
"I'm not Lisa's real mom, I was only her guardian."
The revelation makes us all left dumbfounded, I stared as if she'd just produced a rhinoceros from her pocket. I could just imagine the sparks in my brain, desperately trying to connect the dots and instead just causing a short circuit. I looked like a pop-eyed toy from one of those claw machines at the fun fair. Perfectly funny and shit.
"Lisa's real dad is a werewolf and her real mom is a vampire?" I asked her totally in disbelief.
"Yes, and I know why you're here." The way her lips curved up and form into a wide and warm smile, I already know what's running inside her mind. "We've been waiting for you to come."
"So you knew all this time?"
"Yes." She replied, stretching her lips even more.
"But how can we tell to Lisa about this? I mean, she still doesn't have any idea about the personality of those people around her." Jisoo said.
She's right, I don't know if how will Lisa would react if she finds out that her mom wasn't her real mom and her best friend is a wolf and me, her soon to be wife is the heiress of the vampire.
"Wait, are you really thinking of telling my daughter all of this?" Marco asked, specifically to me when his gaze locked on mine.
"Yeah? We already know everything about Lisa and you know what was bound to happen." I answered him and stood on my ground as a vampire princess when he's giving me a disapproving look.
"No! Not until she becomes 20!"
"Marco, after all that happened tonight–."
"I know honey, but Lisa is still unfamiliar with.." He paused and motion his finger around us. "you know what I mean right? She might get shock to acknowledge her best friend is a wolf and you, being not her real mom and she's bound to marry a vampire, not just a normal vampire! She's a princess which mean she'll take away my daughter from me."
"That is how it supposed to happen Mr. Marco, she will be my wife and wether you like it or not. I need to bring her home." I firmly said. He look at me under his thick spectacle sitting on the bridge of his nose.
"And I'm her father, if I say we'll wait until she turn 20, we will wait." He said more firmly and we glare into each other. If I wasn't thinking that he's Lisa's step father who took care of her for 19 years, I will kill this old man for trying to be dominant than me, a Princess.
"Ok then, we'll wait." I accepted without tearing my gaze at him.
"But.." I rolled my eyes when he open his mouth again for another bullshit condition. "Even if she turn 20, it's still her decision wether she'll marry you or not and you're not going to force her because after all, I still want my daughter to live a normal life."
"You seriously got to be fucking kidding me!"
"Take it or leave it princess Jennie." He said challengingly to provoke me.
"I'll take it! But listen to me old man. I'll make sure she'll beg me to marry her." I said smugly before turning my heels and vanished in just a blink of an eye.
