I pity you

LISA's POV

"What's the use of your bed?" I asked after staring at Jennie for five minutes, who's sitting on the single couch, arms crossed and she's looking outside the window.

"Just go and take some rest, Lisa." She said without even sparing me a glance.

"Are you worried for tomorrow?" I asked again, but this time. I caught Jennie's attention. She turned to me and my hunch was right.

There's a worries in her eyes and I knew it's because of me. I admit that I am nothing against Jon. But just like what I've told to Sydney. It's just a training, not like some serious battle between us that whoever will win, Jennie is the price.

"No matter what happen, you need to fight." Jennie said.

"Relax, that's not going to be a real battle." I said chuckling and scoot to the left and tap the empty space beside me. "Come here."

Jennie released a lungful sigh before heaving up herself from the couch and pad towards the bed. She sat on the edge and released another sigh.

"You provoked him."

"Because he's really annoying, but I regret what I said and I might just get myself embarrass tomorrow." I twitches my lips and land into pout.

"Want me to train you tonight?" She asked, I could tell that she's still worried about me, but I'd rather choose to sleep than to get killed with this woman.

I was about to say something but there's a silliness running in my mind. "We're both virgins, how would you teach me–." I stopped and quickly rolled out of the bed when I saw Jennie's hand tries to hit me. "Jennie!" I exclaimed but she's more than shocked than I am.

"You moved too fast!" She exclaims and rose up abruptly. "Lisa, you're faster than Jisoo!" I tilt my head a bit and look at her confusedly. She grabs one pillow and throw it on me but I quickly dodged it. "See?!" She said enthusiastically and pad over the drawer and pick up a glass.

"What the fuck?! Jen–." I didn't had the chance to finished my words when Jennie throw the glass on me and I crouched on the floor while covering my head, the glass hit the wall behind me and it shattered into pieces because Jennie threw it too hard. "I was just kidding for what I had said–."

"Shut up!" Jennie scowled and I knew she wasn't really talking about my speed. "Just where the hell do you learn those things?!"

"Jen! I'm 19, just how old do you think I am?" I retaliate and shook my head before picking up the shattered glass on the floor.

"Don't touch it! Let them clean it and take a goddamn rest so Jonny wouldn't beat your ass!"

"It's too late Jen. They might be resting and we would be just as annoying if we ask someone to clean your mess at this wee hour." I said calmly.

"Lisa, are you sure that you're really reading that book? Vampires doesn't sleep." She said stating the fact.

"But we still need to be considerate." I insist and looked up to her. Jennie stared at me but I can't decipher the emotions behind her eyes.

Jennie cleared her throat and blink her eyes before looking away. "That's enough, I'll ask them tomorrow to clean that up. You should take a rest."

I nodded at her and dumped the shattered glass I collected on the bin before jumping on the bed. "Vampires don't sleep but why do I feel sleepy?"

Jennie chuckled and pulled up the blanket so I can slip inside and she tucked me in. "You're not a full blooded vampire, remember?" She said and removed my thick eyeglass. "You'll need to wear contact lenses tomorrow."

"Of course." I snort.

"Take a good rest so you don't get tired quickly on your training." Jennie sounds like my mom, if she wasn't just a vampire, I might have fallen for her.

"Thank you." I softly mumbles. Jennie smiled at me before bending over and she kissed my forehead.

I think my heart was about to explode, I don't know but Jennie being sweet to me is way more scarier than seeing her always mad at me.

"Goodnight, Lisa." She said sweetly before flicking the lamp on and she snapped her fingers and the fluorescent lights off.

I followed her with my gaze as she pad back on her favorite couch and sat down. She wears her reading eyeglass and snapped her fingers again, my eyes went wide when I saw a floating cup of coffee in the air, it sits on the table beside her and Jennie took the cup and sip on it.

"Jeez, that was some scary shit." I whispered before clenching my eyes and forced myself to sleep.

Morning came and I saw Jennie still sitting on the couch when I turn to face her. Maybe she felt that I'm already awake and she shut her book and put it aside before standing up.

"Good morning." She greets and when she turned to me. Jennie's eyes flickered with excitement that makes me smile.

She was too worried last night, which is an exact opposite of her vibes this morning.

"Good morning." I greet back and sat up. The door creaked and I immediately whipped my head on it and there I saw Jisoo with Chaeyoung, smiling at me widely just like Jennie.

"Rise and shine, Lisa!" Chaeyoung greets with enthusiasm and jumped on the bed, causing my body to bounced and I felt a little dizziness.

"Mcklein, today is the day where you are kicking some ass!" Jisoo said and laugh loudly.

"Can we delay it? I think my limbs are still not cooperating with me." I said nervously and the three of them looked at me incredulously. "C'mon girls, I'm not yet ready to die!" I whined.

"Stop it, Lisa! You need to show him who's the boss here! He's just a man but you're Lisa!" Jisoo said and pulled me out of the bed and pushed me towards the bathroom. "I didn't raise no weak bitches!"

"What?" I laugh the word's out.

"I got it from Twitter." She said then laugh again. I shakes my head before closing the door and did my morning rituals, which is taking a cold shower.

While the cold water soaking my butt naked body, hands on the tiles and head hung low. I took a deep breath and exhales slowly. "Fuck! I'm scared!" I blurted out. I tugged my hair and pulled it all together then I jumped, three times, four, five times just to shrug away the fear inside me.

I did it for I don't know how many times but the fear still stuck inside me. It's as if the fear biting every bit of my bone structure, making me shudder in every possible thought of how will Jonny will break my two hundred six bone pieces.

"Lisa! Are you still alive?" I startled when I heard Jisoo's voice behind the door with a loud knock.

"Y-yeah. Just a minute." I said and finish taking a shower. I stepped out from the shower and grabbed the towel on the rack and wiped my wet body.

I am busy drying myself when I heard the door slowly creaked open. I quickly covered my body and hide behind the shower curtain. I thought it did really open and someone was going to enter but I guess my mind was just playing on me. The door are still closed and not moving.

"Am I really that scared?" I asked and chuckled dryly while shaking my head in disappointment to myself.

After getting dressed, I released a loud and shaky sigh before stepping out from the bathroom. I saw all of my friends standing inside the room, all of them was already waiting for me.

Sydney looked at me worriedly and ran towards me. "Lis, you'll be fine, right? Promise me you'll be."

"Promise, I'll be fine." I replied.

"Right, you're Lisa. I forgot, you tend to say what I always want to hear." She said and smacked my shoulder. "But this time Lis, I want you to fulfill your promise. I want you to beat Jonny and I want you to be fine!"

"You know what? I'm going back to bed! And forget about Jonny, I don't care if he'll think I ditched him or I got scared, because I really am, scared!" I outburst and jumped on the bed, I used the blanket to cover my whole body and hid under it.

Few seconds had passed but I didn't heard anyone respond but I felt the bed moving and I think it's hanging on the air. I heard a loud crashed and the next thing I know.

I was rolling out on the grass outside the castle. And the bed that I was lying earlier, got crushed and there's a big hole on the wall where's Jennie's room designated.

Jennie fucking Zee threw the bed outside of her room, with me, lying on it and covered with her thick blanket!

Sydney jumped off and picks me up. "Lisa, are you okay?!" She asked worriedly. I couldn't will my lips to move as I'm still shocked for what just had occurred. "Aish! Jennie is really a meanie!" She hissed while shrugging the dirt off from my body.

"I didn't seem to have a choice, if I fought Jonny, I would die. if I didn't face him, I'm still going to die because Jennie would kill me." I said in defeat when I regain my consciousness from the shock.

"I'm sorry, Lisa. I didn't see it coming. I thought she would just going to shake the bed to get you out of there." Sydney said.

"It's fine, I already used to it." I assured her and tapped her shoulder. "Let's go to training ground to face my death." I said weakly and wrapped my arms around her neck. "Please, carry me, my knees are wobbling because of Jennie." I said and Sydney laugh softly before lifting me up from the ground and carry me in a bridal style.

"Hey!" Sydney halted her steps when Jennie called her. We are about to look on our back but Jennie popped out in front of us. "What happen? Are you hurt?" She asked worriedly.

Hypocrisy at its finest!

"She's not hurt, Jen. Thank you for throwing her out of your room." Sydney said sarcastically.

"I'm sorry okay? She's being scaredy-cat and I hate it." Jennie snort and was about to touch me but I shake my head furiously.

"Don't touch me, I'd rather die in Jonny's arms than–."

"Shut the fuck up, Lisa." She growled at me and still lean her hand towards my face. I clenched my eyes and wait for another pain but instead of pain, I felt her thumb wiped something on my face. I shot my eyes open and met her cat-like eyes. "Please, be safe." She said softly and lean her face and give me another kiss on the forehead.

"Just what the fuck the two of you doing?!" Sydney yelled and she let go off of me, thankfully I was clinging on her neck or else I would fall on the ground.

"Nothing, I just gave her strength." Jennie said. She smiled at Sydney widely before walking away.

"Did Jennie kissed you?! Where? Is it on lips? Did something already happened between you two? Why aren't you telling me anything? I thought we're best–." I flicked Sydney's forehead to stopped her from bombarding me with lot of questions.

"She kissed me here!" I said and lift my bangs to show her my forehead and Sydney's eyes widened while staring at my forehead.

"Holy–."

"Forehead?" I asked giggling.

"..shit, Lisa. There's a lipstick stain on your forehead." She finishes and burst out laughing. I was going to wipe it but she stopped my hand and shook her head. "Greet Jonny with that." She said between her laugh.

"What?" I asked confusedly.

"Just let it stay there, let's go." She said before grabbing my arm and dragged to me towards the training ground.

When we got to the said place, Jonny and his minions was already there, one of his friend saw us and he jolt his head towards us. When Jonny turned to look on our spot, the smirk automatically curved on the corner of his lips.

"Well, well, well. Good day to the heiress's soon to be wife." Jonny greets.

"Good morning commander." I greet back and offered him a wide smile.

"It seems that you had a good sleep, huh?"

"Actually, yes. I had a good sleep and my morning also started good." I replied still smiling.

"That's actually great, because tonight, I don't think you'll still have a great night." He said and his smirk grew even wider. His friends behind him laugh but it didn't bother me.

Just this morning, I was really scared of facing him, but now, the fear I had inside me suddenly vanished and replaced with annoyance.

"I don't think it was me, who's going to have a bad night." I replied.

"Let's see then." He said and he walks in the center. I nodded and released a lungful sigh before starts walking on the center but I was stopped by Sydney.

"Wait, Lisa. I think Jennie left a lipstick stain on your forehead when she kissed you earlier." I snapped my head at Sydney and stared at her ludicrously. She smiled at me and wiped the stain on my forehead. "Good luck, Lisa." She whispered and tapped my face lightly after she wiped the stain on my forehead.

When I turned to Jonny, his gaze are burning in anger, clenched jaw and nails digging on his palm.

So this is the reason why Sydney didn't let me wipe the stain earlier, to pissed him off. It actually works, but I think it's a bad idea because he's now fuming in anger. His paled face has now in deep shade of red.

"Shall we–." I didn't had the chance to finished my word when Jonny charged towards me and throw a direct hit on my jaw and my body was thrown out due to the force of his punch. "F-fuck!" I groaned and spit a blood on the ground.

"Hey! That was foul!" Sydney yelled and was about to run to help me but she was stopped by Jisoo. "Let me go!"

"No, don't interfere." Jisoo said firmly and dragged Sydney on the side. All of them had already arrived and Jennie was staring at me intensely. I saw how she was restraining herself not to ran towards me and I smiled at her to assure her that I'm fine but she just rolled her eyes.

"Cute.." I mumbled before pushing myself up and turn to Jonny. "You got me there, bitter boy." I mocked and wiped the blood on my chin with my fist.

"Shut up and let's fight–."

"Train." I corrected him. "This is just a training." I remind him but he just scoffed and charged again but I was already aware and I dodged his attack and do a counter attack.

I throw a punch on his jaw but he's too fast to dodge it and he hit me on my left side with his knee and I crouch down and clutched my side where he hit me and I sucked for a much needed air.

"You're just a trash compared to me, Lisa." He whispered and kicked me on my stomach, causing me to rolled on the ground.

"Goddamn it! Lisa, are you okay?!" Sydney asked with full of concern on her voice.

Even if I'm struggling to catch my breath, I still did a thumb's up just to assure Sydney. I sucked for an oxygen to fill my lungs and tried to stand up but my knees felt so weak and I couldn't straight them up.

"S-shit." I mumbled.

"I thought you're the one in the prophecy? But it says that the immortal have an unmatched power, but seeing you struggling right now, I'm starting to doubt what had written on that damn prophecy."

I stifle a chuckled when I heard Jonny and looked up to meet his eyes. "I didn't k-know that you're too t-talkative."

"I'm just saying what I see right now in front of me, and you know what it is? A duck pretending to be a peacock just to get the princess."

"You insults a lot, is that on your traits?" I asked annoyedly. "And thanks for being talkative, I bought time to rest a bit."

Jonny clenched his teeth and stormed towards me for the third time but when he tried to give another blow, I beaten him for it and I land a solid punch on his jaw. He was thrown out and rolled out on the floor.

Wow! I did that?

He quickly recomposed himself and charged again, he tried to grab my head but I grabbed his nape and used my knee to hit him on his stomach and he crouched on the ground while holding it. He coughs a lot and sucked for an air to fill his lungs.

"Oops, sorry." I mocked and stepped backward to distant myself from him. "I'm may be a duck, but ducks is delicious."

Jonny laughed, his laughter is scary, as if it is coming under the ground and I shudder, but I still hold my ground and alert myself.

"Duck supposed to get killed to fill everyone's stomach." He said meaningfully before he pushed himself on the ground. "That's why I need to kill you." Even his deep voice are scary, his faced turned into a real face of a vampire, with veins popping out on her cheeks, dark red eyes and pointed fangs.

"Oh my God, are you really going to kill me?" I asked.

"I need to kill you so I can get Jennie back." He tells me with certainty of killing me but instead of getting frighten, I smiled at him.

"I pity you." I said while shaking my head and without even a warning, I charged over him and tried to land a hit but he became too fast than earlier and he gave me a counter attack.

His hard fist met my left jaw, his knee on my right waist and he was about to hit me with another blow but I used my arm to cover my face and I winced in too much pain when I felt the bone cracked on my left arm.

"Fuck–." Jonny didn't stop from hitting me and he throw another strong kick on my right side and I think he broke my ribs. He moves too fast and I couldn't do anything but to accept all of his blow until he lands one solid punch on my jaw and I almost got unconscious but I prevent myself for blacking out.

I used my right arm to stopped myself from falling down and bit my lower lip hardly to withstand the pain on my broken ribs.

"Now tell me who is more pitiful between the two of us."

"Y-you." I still answered even if I'm loosing my breath and struggling. "It's a-always you, Jonny."

"Damn you!" He spits and charged for another attack.

I clenched my eyes and looked for Sydney's coin on my pocket, I grabbed it and hold it tightly on my palm as I forced myself to stand straight and released a loud sigh before charging at him.

We're about to meet halfway but before he could land a hit, I flickered on his back in just a blink of an eye but he quickly turned around and with all the strength that's left on me, I used it to hit him and give my all.

"You will never get Jennie because she's mine!" I shouted as my fist landed on his jaw.
