Enzo nods and agrees to Eliza joining him.
"Sure," he said.
Eliza sits beside him.
"So..." he said.
"Don't worry I know who you are," she said.
"You also look familiar," he said.
"Really?" she asked.
"Just kidding, I know you're Eliza the journalist," he replied.
"Please call me Liz," she said.
They open their beers and say cheers.
"Cheers," he said.
"Cheers," she overlapped.
Enzo stops drinking and holds down his beer.
"So am I going to see myself in the papers tomorrow?" he asked.
Eliza puts down her beer.
"Oh yeah," she answered.
"You know what would be a good title for it?" he asked.
"What?" she asked.
"Rich but loveless," he replied.
Enzo drinks again.
"That does sound good," she said. "Why is that the case?"
"Off the record?" he asked.
"Yes, off the record," she said.
"It's because I don't know-how," he said.
"Truly, you don't know?" she asked.
"Yes," he answered.
"Well let's fix that," she said.
Eliza gets close to him and leans on him as they kiss. She pulls out after and Enzo is in shock.
"That's how you love Enzo," she said.
She gets close to him again.
"No sugar coating words, no bullshit, you just kiss and feel if she's the one," she said.
"I don't know what to say," he said.
"Don't talk, just..." she said as she kissed him again.
Enzo pushes her away and leaves her.
"You're crazy," he said.
Eliza looks at him leaving as she realizes how despicable she is.
In his room, Enzo is alone as he turns on his television above the ceiling. He watches some silent romance story. He imagined it was him and Rachel together, but he gets rejected again. Frustrated, he turns off the TV and goes to sleep.
The next day, Enzo is at his desk and he looks at his phone and it turned bright blue. A match has been found at a train moving fast towards the city. Is it a newcomer? We'll see.
"Hey I have to go somewhere cover for me okay?" he asked - telling his officemate behind him.
"Oh okay," officemate answered.
"Thanks!" Enzo said.
Enzo gets his grey jacket and rushes to the elevator. He goes inside and presses a number as the elevator closes and moves down, he's alone. The elevator opens and he runs to the entrance. He sees Enya going inside as she sees him.
"Hi!" Enya greeted.
Enzo slows down.
"Hey! sorry can't talk right now I'm matched!" Enzo excitedly said.
"Wow! that's great! you go have a great time with her," she said.
"I will! thanks!" Enzo shouted as he exits.
Enzo keeps on running at the sidewalks...
He runs and he runs...
Passing busy people...
Through crosswalks, glances at his phone for directions...
He slows down at the corner of the park. He looks at his phone as the GPS blinking blue dot is near. He walks across and looks at his phone. He bumps a man...
"Hey watch it," the man said.
"Sorry," Enzo replied.
He continues to walk and goes inside the park. The sky above turns dark as it's about to rain. He carefully walks, looks at his phone at the same time looking at where he's going. The blue dot starts to get close but the rain starts as it comes pouring down.
He sees a waiting shed and goes there, he's by himself. He looks above the sky.
"Oh man," Enzo said out loud.
He looks to his phone as the blue dot stopped opposite to a river separating the two waiting sheds. He barely sees a man on a coat and a teenage girl wearing her uniform across him as the rain starts to get heavy.
Enzo sits as the girl looks at his direction, he stands and looks. The man sits down to the bench. Enzo waves at her and she doesn't respond, maybe she can't see.
The rain slows down, Enzo looks at the vending machine beside the bench and puts in some money and chooses a number. He takes the canned soda, and the rain stops at last. He carries the two sodas by his left hand and his right he takes his phone. He walks across the bridge half-way and stares at the girl, as the girl looks at him, she smiles.
"Hi!" he said, "do you want a soda?"
"Sorry, mister but I'm gonna be late!" she answered.
The girl runs past him.
"What?" he asked.
His phone beeps intensely.
"You've been matched," the phone said.
Enzo looks to his phone and the blue dot is still at the bridge area. He looks to the other side and sees the man with a red coat and a transparent umbrella, also looking at his phone.
They stare at each other, the man on the read coat puts his phone in his pocket and takes off his hat. He has blonde long hair, white, and blue eyes, definitely gay. Enzo in shock as he drops his phone and the sodas. The man smiles at him as he's about to say something.
Later that night, I wrote this story as he jumped behind me near the ending. To make the story short, he was with me and I was with him.
