Igodomigodo is our Land (Part 3)

The petrified young prince continued to walk out of the yard. At first his friend tried to stop him but he couldn't, so he gave up.

A while later the young boy who had been playing with the young prince ran out to call for help from the seniors. Immediately he got out, he saw a fair woman.

"Miss! please come and help the young prince. He has been behaving weird and kept walking towards the jungle!" crying, the young boy ran towards the fair woman.

"Wow! queen Idia is really the devil, haha.. I can't believe she really did it so quickly!" The fair woman smiled wickedly to her self,

"Where Is the young prince now! which direction did he go?" She gripped the young boy, feigning concern for the young prince wellbeing.

"He went that way ma!" the kid said, pointing towards the jungle, where the young prince had gone.

"Ok, you go and inform the guards I'll go and search for the prince."

Saying those words she dashed towards the jungle to search for the prince.

She brushed through the thicket of the jungle in search of the young prince, through the fogginess of the forest her vision became impeded. It took a while. However, Some time later, she found in the haze, an ephemeral image, of a young boy standing still.

The boy seemed to be staring at the sky.

"Hey you! What are you doing here?...

Uhn?" Upon careful observation, she realize it was the young prince, she drew nearer to the prince.

"My–my–my prince. Sorry, Your Highness,

What are you doing here?" She called out as she treaded closer to the young prince.

"Uhn? Who's there?

Oh God where am i?" When he heard someone call out to him, the young prince, Ogidigbo snapped out of his daze.

Soon he realized he was not at the palace yard anymore, he became terrified and started looking around fearfully.

"My prince come to me, let us quickly go back to the palace." the fair woman encouraged the prince to come close to her.

"Who are you? where did you come from?" The young prince demanded. he was staring at her suspiciously.

"What are you doing?" he added

"My prince I came here to search for you. Now pass my your hands so that we can return back home. She said with outstretched hands.

"No way! why will I go with you? For all I know you could be an evil spirit sent to bewitch me and eat my flesh." the young prince was not convinced by the fair maiden sudden appearance.

"Ok, you said you're here for me right?

good! How did you know I was here? let me tell you the truth, I'm the first prince of Igodomigodo, Although this forest is inhabited by Evil Spirits like yourself, it's is still a part of Igodomigodo. Therefore, as the prince I demand that you tell me the truth, did you manifest from the smoke?" Convinced the strange woman was an Evil spirit, the prince said lifting his lips into a pouch.

He clearly didn't know the difference between a smoke and an haze.

"Uhn?" the fair maiden was stunned, she hadn't expected such a response from the young prince.

"You see! I'm right. you're just an evil spirit. Now listen carefully, Igodomigodo is our land, and you should respect me since you're in Igodomigodo, let me tell you, if you even try to hurt me, my father, the king will destroy this entire forest. do you understand?" seeing her stunned reaction, the prince confirmed his suspicions.

"Haha.." the fair lady burst out laughing.

Although she had been previously surprised when the young prince started talking tough. She quickly noticed however, that the prince had already developed knocked–knee and was quivering due to fear, even as he threatened.

"You're wrong my prince, I'm not an Evil Spirit. I came here to search for you because your friend told me you came to this forest." the fair maiden sounded really convincing this time. Her voice was so light and harmless.

"Really!? Did Ighile really send you here? Are you being honest with me?" The prince immediately let down his guard when she mentioned his friend, he believed she wouldn't hurt him, since the woman seemed so harmless and she knew his friend Ighile.

"Yes my prince. Your friend Ighile asked me to help rescue you.

Now give me your hand my prince so that we could leave here before the real evil spirits come for us." As she spoke her words, she acted with haste, to create an urgency so that the prince woul comply.

She knew that at any moment soon, the palace guards would arrive there and it might be too late to execute her plans then—if she failed, how was she going to explain to queen Idia.

"Okay as you've said my friend sent you, I believe you now, miss. please take me away from this forest before those wicked, Evil Spirits come for us." Since the young prince already let down his guard, he started speaking like a normal kid again.

This time his fear was no longer suppressed, even as he commanded her, he already reached out his quivering hands to grab hers.

"My prince, take this and sprinkle it on your face. it'll help you to drive the evil spirit away" she handed a flask of white powder to the prince.

"What about you?" the prince inquired

"Oh, don't bother about me I've already used mine." she replied with a wink to the young prince.

A moment later, the young prince, Ogidigbo, sprinkled the white ash to his face and breathed it in.

That was the genesis of his nay future crisis.
