Turning The Tables (2)

"Listen. Third prince!" Igbins turned to look at the prince, his tone was reprimanding. "We have not had any issues before. In fact, your people had helped to save my people not too long ago, so i can't understand why you approve of it, that your people, should steal from us." Igbins said with a raised voice, his heart had started to slow burn with suppressed anger.

He had already taken the prince silence before, as acquiescence to Sally's claim. Meaning, it was The prince, who gave his team permission to rob from others.

Although, Igbins expression was fry-red from anger, it was also visibly noticeable, that he was doing all his best to manage his emotions.

One would doubt if this was the same Igbins who recently killed Ogen, a young warrior just because the hapless youth spoke to him arrogantly.

And yet, he was taking worse insults from Sally now. Though he was retaliating the best way he could, by dropping indirect degrading remarks, it was still a cowards approach.

However, could he blamed? He had been watching from the bush all those time, when the people from the prince's team slayed that Grey Octopus Creature effortlessly. Therefore, he, just like every other person in his team, knew first hand, the power of the prince's gang.

"Shut Up FOOL!" Sally, shot out a finger; jarringly, as he glared viciously at Igbins. "Have I not already told you that you're not worthy to speak to the.."

"You shut up! You're the fool! Who do you think you are?

Damn You!

Is it because you have the prince in your team? Is that why you talk so much nonsense.

Get out of here now!

I dont like the way you talk. You're disgusting!" Igbins, suddenly barked, an outburst of the suppressed anger. It broke free through words, stirring awe and disbelief for all who heard him.

Although he heard been calm with Sally before, he couldn't bear it anymore so he retaliated.

"Hehe."

Salami and the other's in the prince's team, quickly used their fist to cover their mouths and conceal the smile that had already baked on their lips.

It was funny the way Igbins yelled at Sally. It was if he was just scolding a mere child.

That was usually Sally's role and area of expertise, seeing other's treat him that way could only stir up laughter for those who knew him enough. And for that crime, Sally was definitely not going to let Igbins go.

Meanwhile, Sally also noticed the hidden smile that had taken shape upon Salami's and the others faces. It only ended fuelling his growing hatred for Igbins.

"You claim that you want to come over here and take our ewere pot and we should just give it to you because you ordered us to do so, and you're not even the prince.

Even if you cast a spell on us, do you sincerely think it'll be so potent?

Now! if you don't have anything sensible to say, you should just get out of here, so that I can just discuss with the prince. A reasonable person.

I don't care for you, one bit." It was an extremely rude reproof. A cold dismissal. And yet a suckup.

Igbins looked away from Sally once he finished lambasting him. He turned to face the prince, then he spoke.

"My prince I'm sorry but you can't get our ewere pot. It contains all our hard work, since we came into this Dreamy forest. We cannot just let go of it like that." He declared, in a somber tone.

All the while Sally had been too shocked to even utter a word. He must have been struck by lightning, because, even after Igbins was done tongue lashing him, and had started talking with the prince, he didnt even move, nor utter a single word.

He just stood there, motionless. Trailing Igbins with a murderous look.

However, almost as if he was triggered by something unseen, he suddenly barked out.

"You! you! How dare you talk to me in that manner.

Do you want to die!"

Again, Salami and the others choked to suppress their laughter. The prince also covered his mouth this time. He also, was amused by Sally's rhetoric.

Sally's lag behavior, made it seem as if he had been trapped in time before. His late reply was just too weird and funny.

Once again, Sally noticed the uptight pretentious behavior of his own people, who threw their faces carelessly, away from him, to avoid his gaze once he looked their way. Then, he turned wacky.

"Argh!! I'll kill you!" He bellowed with rage.

Sally felt embarrassed, and Igbins was the one to be blamed.

He took his sword aslant and flung it at Igbins.

Clang!!!

A sharp shrilling sound, resounded. As two metals collided with a flash of sparks.

Igbins was prepared. He anticipated the attack.

"Alright, let's fight!" Igbins roared out. fired by rage. He too was already vexed and charging.

These two warriors, clearly, were easily driven by anger.

The prince who was standing close to them, unhurriedly stepped back. Others, also followed suit and backed away from the brewing conflict.

This fight was going to be a hostile contest, to stir up dust and produce violent assault. No one wanted to be caught by a stray.

Now however, the two warriors where in the middle of two opposing group, eager to spectate. Their duel.
