10. Waiting for David

After killing everyone, looting them and dumping their bodies to a flowing water source nearby, Benjamin realized that he successfully beat a whole 18 person group from the God Kings Army, which definitely shows that the God Kings Army was becoming weaker and weaker, back in his day, even if he was as strong as he is now he would only be able to take on 5 people at one time at most, considering they were all average soldiers. He also tried to look around Girths body to see if he had any demonic artifacts or body parts or anything but he was unable to see anything off with him. He wasn't convinced that there wan't anything wrong with the guy but all his ways of finding sketchy things were tried so he had no chance but to drop it, Hw gained another cool sword though.

After he dumped the bodies, he went back to where the fight had happened and starred waiting for David to show up. In the hopes that it wouldn't take long, and he was fucking wrong, It would be a while before he was able to David again, this was a short time for him but a long time to wait in enemy territory, while they were after you.

Inside the dungeon, David was still passed out lying on the stone floor snoring like pig at this time, after ten or so minutes he finally woke up, the time here was distorted by 1 to 60 as a minute here would be 1 second in the outside world, and people were known to stay inside for up to 10 days in the real world. David din't know any of these however he looked at this character sheet to see that he had gained the passive skill mental resistance and his hp was still not back up to full hp. Regardless he started looking around to see wtf was going on when he heard a deep voice.

"Hey, wassup man, you were teleported to the dungeon of the universe's 796th branch, I'd like you to choose a difficulty level, there is easy, medium, high, transcendent, demigod, God. Don't worry the tiers doesn't mean levels of the enemies, the difficulty is adjusted to your level. Now after you choose the difficulty, you can change some settings of the dungeon, we'll come to that. I'm cheddar 7.0 XAAL-53 by the way, you can just call me chad or cheddar."(Chad)

David now understood that he somehow teleported to this place, possibly Benjamins doing to save him, and that he had to clear a dungeon now.

"Err, what do you think I should choose Chad."(David)

"With those frail arms of yours, I would choose- choo, oh fuck sorry bout that, I'd choose the god tier if I were you, It would take a bit longer than the average visitors time to beat however, you have the universes blessing so you could take that close combat skill all the way up to about 1000 after playing with some of the exp modifiers in the next phase."(Chad)

"Sure lets go with god tier then. What is this thing about the other setting and shit."(David)

As he said this, a screen appeared in front of him. There were plenty of settings he could change, he could decrease the normal exp gain and increase the skill gain exp. decrease the number of enemies in the dungeon, increase it, god tier was a setting that just increased the minimum and maximum levels of every setting, in the god tier if you increased everything to the max, it would be more than twice as difficult. Needless to say he cranked everything up and asked

"Hey Chad, doesn't level exp convert to skill exp anyways if you are at a limit level."(David)

"The conversion rate is higher and also, I don"(Chad)

At this moment after hearing him say the conversion rate is over David didn't wait for Chad to finish and cranked skill exp to max, decreasing level exp to zero then clicked start.

"Oh fuck, I hope the kid doesn't die, miss universe would be so mad at me I don't want any more punishment. If he just let me finish my sentence I would have told him that the base level is enough to level his skill to level 1000."(Chad)

After saying this Chad opened up a screen in a random location in this space that he occupied.

David was looking around to see what kind of monsters he had to deal with. All of a sudden, he felt that something was about to smack his head so he jumped forward and dodged the attack, the area where he jumped to was also occupied by some monster, David was wondering when the fuck these monsters came around here when he got hit in the chest by a monkeys palm which set him tumbling through the floor.

David got up in a heartbeat using his momentum. And turned towards the monster that had just attacked him. He saw that there was at least 10 of these monsters and their attack took of about 25% hp. David got into a fighting stance and waited for the monsters, the monsters became invisible in a heartbeat and David tried to see through their disguise. He was able to see through their disguise but only because they were moving at such fast speeds, at this moment he heard another ding and the monsters became more visible, he guessed that it was the illusion resistance or something along those lines.

David started fighting these monsters his hp was steadily falling event hough he had a really high regeneration, he kept punching and punching but these monkeys were some kind of fucking tank to be able to take 7-8 punches with everything activated and not die. He trued to focus on the same monkey as much as possible, he landed his ninth punch on the monkeys jaw and felt the monkey become limp, he had about 75% hp right now if things went like this he would die before the enemies would end.

He started focusing more on the defense and attacking only when he had a free attack rather than trading attacks. The situation was not getting any better he kept losing more hp than he was dealing, being surrounded by a lot of monsters was really hard, he managed to down, 4 of the before had to run away.

He wasn't sure how he was going to run away, he looked at the dungeon for the first time since he came, it was a dimly lighted place made up of purplish blackish stone, it wasn't exactly a tunnel type dungeon but he was able to see that the rooms were connected by corridors and he was also able to see that one corridor was lighted better than the other dimly lighted ones, he started running towards that in the hopes that it was something or someone or somewhere friendly.

He ran all the way to the corridor while dodging attacks from the monsters as more and more joined while he was running. As he came to the corridor, he saw the room directly across the corridor and he knew that it was a safe place since there was a visible energy barrier, the only problem was he didn't know if it would let him in. As he came to the rooms entrance he jumped into the room taking one last hit from one of the monkeys.

A second later he saw the monkeys running away after one of them got turned into dust.

He looked at his hp and saw that he had only 4% hp left, enough for him to die due to bad posture while sleeping.

"That was fucking close I don't want to ever live through that, I wonder if I need to kill every single one of these monkeys and also all the other monsters at other rooms too."(David)

Just as he had his monologue, a screen appeared in front of him that said,

Kill all the monsters in the Dungeon and kill the last boss of the dungeon, It was like a quest log telling him what he had to do.

He knew that this place was time dilated as the system had certain ways to show it. So he knew that he had a long long time in here that he could expend. Thinking this he had the idea of luring monsters to the entrance to burn them, the dungeon explained that the monster that was killed by the door would be revived in the room it was born. Things started looking worse and worse until he realized that he was being an idiot as he was able to kill some and tun away once he could do it again and again and again and again and again. This was going to be a fucking nightmare.
