After deciding what to do with the dungeon, David started putting his plan to action, one day after the other he was killing and killing monkey type monsters, he would attack one of the monsters that was in a smaller group kill as much as he could before his hp dropped to critical points and then runaway, this way he could feel himself getting more and more powerful as all his skills were leveling up and after a full month he was able to kill a whole squad of 10 monkeys.
These monkeys were level 70 enemies with high skill levels, they also had sentience and squad combat tactics. If lt was any random lvl 50 person it would be really hard for them to even beat one of these monsters, however David was different, he had reduced exp needs for skills and he had increased exp gain for them too, he was basically living the dream of everybody as skills were way more important than just leveling up in this world since the occupations, would be given to you according to all your skills.
Take Benjamin for example he got his first occupation while he had his close combat skill at level 507, slippery at level 104, regeneration at 102, and other skills at around level 90, he had to stay at level 50 for more than 6 months to get his skills up to this degree even with the talented passive. He got an Epic grade occupation.
You could see how it would take so long for most people to level their skills to high levels enough to get really good occupations, still they could go for rare or at least uncommon ones. Also gaining an occupation would slow down your aging too so most people would opt to "I'll just get occupations first then level up all my skills, it even gets easier when I level up" what they didn't take into consideration was their occupation would be shit.
All the occupations they would get would be mediocre and they would lose all hope of becoming someone powerful in the world. They would realize this way too late and try to catch up and overtake other people in skills however, better occupations also meant lower skill exp requirements so the average occupations had a really hard time even catching up when the others were getting new occupations or progressing their old ones.
After David was able to kill a whole squad of the things got way easier from then on, he was starting to dodge almost all their attacks and a fifth of the attacks that landed were also negated by slippery half their damage that is. The number of monkeys in this area was whittling down slowly but surely. After a total of 4 months of killing monkeys there was only a few dozen left. At this point David had already realized that there was a boss monkey too, which was about three times the size of the normal monkeys, and since the normal monkeys were about 1.5 meters tall it was possible to say that David would be having a hard time against this monster, he was able to look at the monsters level without alerting it with systems identify function. What he saw scared the shit out of David. This was a level 103 double mutated(mutation = occupation) king monkey, it had chosen to take the king monkey route twice and this meant that the monkey had some mutation skills that David didn't know of.
David kept killing the normal monkeys and by the end of the four months he was able to kill up to 25-30 at one time so killing the last few dozen wasn't that bad, now it was only the king monkey that was left, David steeled his resolve and got ready to fight this behemoth of a monster. He wanted to sneak and get a free hit to see how much damage he could do. David had already become quite good at sneaking from all the orcs and the goblins and also he would sneak while fighting against the monkeys too. So it wouldn't be hard for him to sneak to the king monkey. David started slowly moving towards the monkey, there was still more than 100 meters in between them, every step he took, caused him to get this feeling of impending doom, however he didn't believe that a level 100 monster could be so powerful, he believed he could beat it, so he kept moving forward and staying at the blind spots of the monkey, he managed to get into 5 meters of the monkey and at that point he threw one of his punch of the gods, it managed to hit the monster, it seemed to do some damage but David was pretty sure it would take at least 20-30 punches to take this behemoth down.
he still wanted to fight this monster nonetheless. He tried to stay in this monsters blind spots and punch whenever he could, because the monster was so big, it had a hard time turning still it was fast and after 2 more attacks it managed to face David, at this point David still didn't know how much damage the monster could do, so he was trying to dodge as much as he could but the monster was fast and when I say fast I mean fast, David was only able to get a punch in after dodging 10 or more punches from the monster and then the punch he threw would be dodged or blocked as well.
As their fight commenced and kept on for more than an hour, the monkey was finally able to land one hit, David directly saw his hp dwindling down to somewhere around 35-40% this monster could deal up to 65% damage to him. At this point David realized he was losing focus and not wanting to die he ran away back to the safe zone, he had to dodge a few attacks but he made it back. He realized that this was almost an impossible feat as the monster didn't even take David seriously, since it didn't use any skills whatsoever, David was only able to land 6 hits in total in that one hour, if he wanted to win this fight he had to either get way better at fighting, or get higher stats or get way higher skill levels.
After his arduous fights with the monsters he had already gained some skills that was useful such as faster reflexes, tough body, increased perception. If he managed level these skills up enough he would definitely be able to kill the monkey king but in order to level these up he had to fight, and also fights would level up his close combat skill and also his punch of the Gods.
He left the safe room but this time he went nowhere near the monkey king, he realized that if he left the room and went into other rooms there were more normal enemies that he could easily beat.
From the safe room he looked at the monkey room and see that there were 3 different corridors leading to three different rooms, he decided to go to the right corridor just because right is always right and started moving towards the room thankfully the monkey king was nowhere near the right corridor so he went unnoticed.
As he neared the next room he saw the potential phobia of a lot of people, there was huge praying mantises, these things didn't move in big groups, the biggest group consisted of 3 mantises and these things looked way more powerful than the monkeys, just as he was wondering whether right was always right he saw that one of the mantises had sneaked right next to him and was attacking.
He acted pretty quickly, the front legs of the mantis barely missed David after this David landed a solid hit to the mantis' head which was shockingly enough to kill the monster, the monkeys wouldn't die even to 3 hits to their head even with all the skill levels he had gained. He realized that this would be the best area to increase perception and reflexes but not the best area to increase his tough body skill since every attack was scarily dangerous he started killing the mantises one by one but the room was even bigger than the monkeys room, it had at least a few thousand of these mantises, if he wanted to get out of this place he would have to pick up his pace but the time to pick up pace had not yet come.
He kept killing all these mantises and because he had to focus on their attacks and all the sounds around him not to get sneaked on his perception and reflex skills were leveling up like mad, his close combat and punch of the gods was leveling up slower since the fights were shorter but they were still leveling up pretty fast. After two more months of killing and massacering, more than 75% of the mantises was dead and David decided that it was enough for today and went back to the safe room to rest and get ready for another day of killing.
He opened up his character sheet and saw

I hate how small of a stat increase you get when you don't level up, I have been fighting for 6 months for fucks sake. As he said 6 months he realized that he missed his own birthday by a few days and looked at the information card.
Information Card
Age: 16
Height: 184cm
Weight: 82kg
Eye color: Blue
Hair color: Yellow
As he saw the system say that he was still 16 he understood that the system aged you according to the real world time and not the distorted time, David said
"No wonder it didn't take the time in here as the base, I was getting scared that I wasn't going to grow longer, I always wanted to be over 190cm in length."(David)
After thinking this through he also realized that he was more than twice as powerful as his old self before entering here. This dungeon was really wondrous. It could make a normal person who can endure this daily struggle into a peerless genius and turn a peerless genius into an overpowered monster.
Thinking all this David fell asleep.
