14. The Secret Room

In an anticlimactic manner nothing happened. Then David stretched his hands a bit more and picked up the gloves.

Chad was laughing his ass off at the moment watching how David slowly tried to test the waters with the glove, The glove was visibly not protected by any power whatsoever and it was pretty clear they were just common gloves from the looks of it.

David donned the gloves in a heartbeat to see if he had really found the solution. After he wore the gloves he was indeed able to turn the pedestal on command.

Davids thoughts were, whoever placed this glove on top of that pedestal in auch a scary way was just a massive asshole that wanted the people who wanted to solve the puzzle to suffer rather than giving them a easy puzzle they had given them a puzzle without the necessary equipments and place the necessary equipment on top of the pedestal just to make it look like a prize for solving the puzzle and just so people are scared to pick it.

As David spent a few more days to solve the puzzle he realized that there were two different text originating from the side of the pedestal you turned towards the light source. One was

"If you can read this text then you can go into the secret room"

Which took him 4 days to solve as he went ahead and slept for a few hours and missed a lot of letters and he had to wait for two days for the same light to come back. He also discovered the other hidden message was

"Damn that was funny how long it took you to pick up the gloves"

David got really mad but held every bad thing he wanted to say about this person inside. As soon as he saw the last letter and the sentence was fully finished. The are became a safe zone and a door had opened from right under the pedestal as the pedestal moved to the back. David entered the room with the glove still on his hand just in case.

the stairs to the room at the bottom of them was really long, David descended for more then 30 minutes when he finally reached the room at the bottom, he saw that there was a hologram of a man standing there looking at David and there was something etched to the right of the man, it said.

"The Elemenal God, The Master of Quadressential Elements, The Flames of Hròth, The Water of Nùden, The air of Cièla,

The Earth of Grùth, also known as Sylannor

High Grand Master grade at the following elements: Fire, Water, Air, Earth

Before leaving this universe ,23035 years ago, in the search of higher power, this god left a skill book and a mediocre divine water core for anyone whomever challenged this dungeon and managed to come as far as here."

David didn't see the said skill book anywhere and was just about to ask when all the mana that he had and the room had started channeling towards the hologram. As the mana got thinner and thinner David started feeling more and more like he was about to pass out. After 5 seconds or so he heard loud bang behind him and saw that the doors had closed and a second after that he realized that the mana density was starting to increase. In shock he looked at his Character sheet to see that he had only 200 mana left. He disn't know if he zeroed out but he was sure he didn't since his regeneration wouldn't be enough to regenerate 200 points in such a low mana density and such a short time.

Fearing for his life, David looked at where to Hologram used to be to see that two items were floating at the place where the Hologram used to be. David snatched the items and used identify on them.

Web of Elements (Superior God Skill)

A Water Core of the Glacial World/ Glacial Water Core(Mediocre Divine Water)

Considering that there was only three grades to Divine materials low, mediocre, and high. David had earned what billions of people yearned for but no one got. Every ten years or so throughout the whole world only 1 low Divine material would form. There were hundreds of different extreme places where they could form but still these things wouldn't naturally generate a lot, most low tier Divine Materials were ignored by the gods because the material wasn't worth the risk to fight with other gods

However on the other side whenever mediocre of High Divine Materials formed there would be a bloody fight between all the gods that wanted to take the material, no gods normally died in these exchanges but there was the occasional death or two in these exchanges too. Loss of a God meant a lot, out of more than hundreds of millions of people 1 or 2 gods would come out.

The only reason all these Gods went after these materials was because when inserted into ones body these materials were able to provide anyone with huge power bonuses. Gods would get these items and use it on either themselves or their disciples. There was no limit to how many of these things you could insert in your body except for the type of the material. David also remembered that inserting these Divine Materials to your body required some specialized skills. At this point David looked back at the Web of Elements and realized what big of a Jackpot he had hit.

David opened up the skill book and started reading its contents. From the first page David was shocked to his core as this skill was way more powerful than what he heard about these skills. David read that the Web of elements was like an actual web.

You needed to insert all different Divine Materials of all the Elements otherwise your body would become saturated with one element and you would be restricted from inserting anymore. This way you would have a lot more chances than other people would. To insert some Divine materials but you would lose your chance to insert any if you could not find one type or the other.

David realized that this was a risky move. As he read more and more about the book, his respect towards Sylannor increased as he read more and more about the book, he couldn't estimate the complexity of the skill, however the book itself had listed numerous advantages and disadvantages over other gods insertion skills.

Web of Elements

Advantages:

- Higher number of materials

- Can use more than one element

- Resistance to multiple elements

- Can combine elements powers

Disadvantages:

- you have to keep somewhat of a balanace between elements

- every insertion would give less power than it would normally give to other people

After reading through the book David realized that if he decided to learn this skill and insert Divine Materials from every element, even though one insertion would not be as powerful as it could be, he would get way more chances than what a normal person or god would get. On top of that, he would get the ability to mix the elements.

After considering what to do with the skill for a while, David decided to learn it here and now. He started studying the book day and night. It wasn't until two and a half months later that he managed to get the skill in his character sheet and as soon as he did. He realized that he had been in this place for a bit more than 9 months, as he realized this he also realize that it has been only 4.5 days in the outside world. David once again saw how powerful of an item Benjamin had sacrifices to save him. He felt all kinds of emotions welling up inside of him. Not having interacted with anyone made him a softie for some reason(No negativity meant here).

After tearing up thinking about Benjamin and then calming down David started getting ready to absorb the Glacial Water Core. Absorbing a Divine material wasn't as easy as getting in the right mood and inserting the material into your body by ingesting it. Normally one would need to get materials that would counter the Divine Materials potency. As the counter materials potency decreased the body would slowly build bonds with the slowly releasing Divine material.

This process would take anywhere from 2 hours to 4 days as every divine material had its own characteristic traits such as being arrogant or being unyielding also being too cold or too hot was also characteristic as the character traits weren't just limited to human traits.

Well for his first Divine material David didn't really need any materials since the god that left the Glacial water also left behind some divine might to suppress the Glacial water.

David waited for a moment of braveness to hit him so he could place the water core in his mouth.
