"You have cleared the 30 minutes survival challenge with 914 kills, please collect your reward from the pedestal"
David was going towards the pedestal and as he kept thinking about the possible rewards his heart started beating so fast that he thought that he was going to die of a heart attack at the tender age of 16. As he placed his hand on the pedestal he was hoping for good rewards as he had worked hard for it.

"Your prize is, 10 stat points, 10 free skill levels and the ability to delay getting the prize"
When David saw this he asked himself why he would want to postpone the prize and then he asked the same thing while touching the pedestal.
"The prizes one would be able to acquire increase in quality, it is highly advised for you to use this function."
David realized that if he could utilize this to the fullest he could probably earn a lot wanting to test how the system worked, after resting for about an hour, he reactivated the fight sequence, he set the timer to 30 minutes and started fighting, this time things were way harder for David as he was still a bit spent from the last fight and also unluckily for him, the randomized monsters were squishier but faster fly-like enemies mostly, as he could one shot the harder ones too, their squishines didn't give him any edge over them and their speed became a hindrance.
When the time was up, David was covered in a few bruises and more than 10 small bleeding wounds, these wounds were really small so they didn't really cause a great deal of problems do David. With his high regeneration speed, he was regenerating fast.
David decided to check his rewards after he heard
"You have cleared the 30 minutes survival challenge with 722 kills, please collect your reward from the pedestal"
David placed his hand on the pedestal
"Your accumulated prize is, 15 free stat points, 15 skill levels(not usable on all talented), 0.2 stat potential(can only be collected as whole numbers)"
David realized that even though the immediate prize was shittier he got stat potential, which meant that he could get extra stats every level which was way more bountiful in the long run, he didn't plan on stopping at level 100 or 150, David's plans were way deeper than that, he knew that it would likely take at least tens of years to become a full fledged god but he also knew that he could do it, especially with the blessing he got, if he worked hard he was bound to become someone powerful. Maybe he could even become a king or an emperor or maybe just a god that everyone believed in. Realizing his thoughts had delved too deep into fantasy David got back on track.
At this point he realized that if he wants to last longer in the trial he would have to cash in his cumulated prize or clear more rooms so that he could increase his constitution, which is the most predominant stat for increasing endurance, not wanting to waste precious cumulated stats, David decided to go clear some rooms to power up, he left the challenge room and went to the room to his left, which he didn't check before, as he moved towards the room, he realized that the room was pitch black and he didn't feel anything inside, which scared the shit out of him, he really wanted to continue into the room but he guessed that there were probably monsters hiding in the shadows with powerful abilities so he opted out to leaving room and clearing the room with the bird people, he realized that these monsters were more intelligent than the rooms he had previously cleared, he could even see a small village that in the middle of the room.
David started looking around the room to see what kind of tactics the bird people knew, he could see that there was a military training of sorts going on near the village. He started watching these birdlike people to see their standards. After watching for half an hour he realized these monsters were really good with their wooden spears, they weren't masters by any stretch of imagination, but he could see that they were able to coordinate a lot of attacks and every group had one of these old bird people that was way more adept with their weapons.
David, after seeing their fighting standard decided that these monsters would be a good source for him to both level up his skills and learn fighting against human-like beings that had intelligence and could communicate. He decided to ambush the smallest groups he could find. His first target was a group of 6 birdmen consisting of one experienced and five normal birdmen. David decided to sneak attack the experienced guy as he was staying in the back just looking over what the young birdman did and correct them whenever they were wrong, it wouldn't be that hard to achieve.
Sneakily sneakily sneaking, David had finally came into punching distance with a step or two. He jumped into action and landed a punch to the birdmens back right next to where the right wing started, shattering the right wing and also landing a solid punch to the back.
As the old birdmen realized what had happened he tried to make some distance between them and started screeching, possibly calling allies, Just as the birdmen started screeching, David landed another punch this time to his head directly He felt the birdmen becoming limp and falling down bit the other 5 birdmen wasn't just going to sit idle, one of them was screeching for help while the other four had already started their stabbing motion with the spears, David was able to dodge three of the spears but the fourth one struck his body, 10-20 centimeters over where his kidneys are. Luckily for him, slippery had activated and half of the damage had been negated however even then, there was a big about 15-20 cm wound on him. David hadn't expected the birdmen to act this fast so he had been caught offhanded.
David now having understood the birdmen better, quickly took care of the other 5 birdmen before any more enemies could arrive and ran back to the safe room. Spent a few hour resting and went back out when he healed back to full hp. David kept killing these birds again and again and after about three months of killing them he had been finally able to reduce them into only one group but he was scared of dealing with that one group as it consisted of the room boss and the top 5 most powerful after the boss.
As the time progressed, David realized that there wasn't just experienced and inexperienced birdmen there was also some master like birds in between them and every one of these would take about 5-10 minutes to take care of if they were alone and more than one of these masters would make it hard to beat them so After seeing 5 masters and the boss in one group David was starting to lose faith a little when he remembered how he bad beaten a whole orc city.
These rooms weren't just stone rooms, all different kinds of herbs and trees grew in different rooms. He didn't know most of these herbs or what these birdmen had resistance against and whatnot. So he started looking for all kinds of toxic and poisonous herbs and flowers and even fruits. He found many of these materials and he realized that if in the future he had any kind of settlement he would definitely post many guards protecting the sources everyone uses. Not knowing what would affect them, David put everything in the well these birdmen drank from while they were out of town scouting.
Then started the waiting game, David sat in one of the previously owned houses and started looking out every once in a while until he saw that their expedition had ended and they were coming back. It wasn't before 2-3 hours after that all of them had drunk water. David knew some of the poisonous herbs would start affecting as soon as in one hour. But even after 5 hours of waiting none of them showed any signs. David kept waiting and as the 8 hour mark neared he felt the monsters were becoming more sluggish.
Not wanting to waste a single second David pounced into action. He didn't even sneak, he just straight up ran towards the group. They realized something was approaching and got ready to attack, as David neared, they tried to attack him but found that he was way too dodgy for any of them to hit, they also realized their power had fallen by a lot, they were only slightly stronger than their experienced kinsmen. Except for the boss none of them posed any threat to David. Needless to say the fight ended as quickly as it started, in five minutes or so the monsters were all dead.
David was shocked and angry to his core because of the following announcement right after the boss fell.
"Normal room captured with its boss weakened, instead of 15 points in every stat you will be given 10 points in every stat."
