20. Finally a Safe Place or is it?

David entered the said tavern and saw that the students had a merry mood and except for a few people no one even batted an eye on David. He didn't want to look like a creep so he didn't plan to approach anyone and just order a few drinks as anyone over 16 could drink. David sit at the bar and ordered some ale. After 10 minutes of solitary drinking finally someone asked him anything.

"You new around here"

Said one of the kids disdainfully. The kid was visibly one of the chads of the group. It was apparent that he had come to create some problem for David.

"Yeah, just got accepted today"(David)

"There was no entrance exam today kid, don't lie to me"

David was irritated by the kids actions but as an average first grader in the school was 150-200 levels he didn't think he could beat the said guy.

"I am in the talented group"(David)

"I bet you are one of those little fucks that got into the talented group by pulling strings"

"Dude fuck off, I don't want to deal with shitheads who didn't understand that being a bully is not a personality trait in 18 fucking years, a fucking jellyfish would have understood that and they don't even have brains"(David)

Having been cut off and insulted the bully who was conveniently named Chad, pounced on David to attack him. David might be less powerful but he had some banger skills, so he just utilized his side step and Punch of The Gods to land a hit to Chads head and saw Chad spitting blood and falling on his ass. At that point David didn't keep fighting as he had already beaten the other kid. As Chad got up he started shouting

"DO YOU KNOW WHO MY DAD IS, YOU ARE SOO FUCKING DEAD YOU IDIOT SHIT"(Chad)

After saying this he just stormed out of the tavern. David heard one of the extras in the background say thats a ballsy move from the new kid considering that Chad is the first in line heir of the Westhill family.

David knew of the Westhill family actually everyone did as they were the biggest noble family in the Ausloris Kingdom holding the western borders at check on their own against the whole Theoka Empire even during the war if there wasn't a major fight there was no need for the Ausloris Kingdom to send any help as the family was as strong as one family could get. David didn't really care as he was already at war with the Ausloris Kingdom no matter what the god king would not come to any agreement with hin even if he got powerful.

David also realized that he could not do what he just did again and again but he was also pretty sure that he could deal with a level 150-200 average person. Maybe even students of 150-200 levels could be coped with.

After all this transpired and David calmed down he monologued inside, god fucking damn it why must I be a problem magnet, just as I thought that I had found a relatively safe place to live for a few years until I could roam the world not giving any care about any borders, this happens a random jackass comes and tried to bully me and when I retaliate I learn that it is the first in line heir of one of the most powerful families in the kingdom I am running from.

Just as he was having his monologue and sipping his drink he heard another voice and thought god damn it not again.

"Hello, I'm Julius, I'm also in the talented group, I still have a year before I start the first year but still I go out with them on missions to get a headstart, so whats your name man, you come here sit like one of those legendary fighters in the lengthy novels."(Julius)

David was so happy that he hadn't pulled any more problem to him and answered

"Nice to meet you Julius, my name is David and same as you I think I also have 1 year before I formally start my first year, actually can you tell me how the system for talented group work."(David)

"As long as you will be 18 in the teaching year you are allowed to participate in the teaching tear and anything under that age is just basically playing in a baby pool. By the way you seem to be awfully under-leveled, is there any reason for that or anything you wanna tell or something"(Julius)

"First of all how did you know I was under-leveled."(David)

"You used skills to deal with something stronger but stupider, thats what we do as a group against monsters that are stronger than us. Which means you either thought or knew that Chad was stronger than you and opted to using skills unexpectedly."(Julius)

"Good insight, I am under-leveled because I lived too caged out of the world and after the moment I got out of the cage I haven't had any chance to get my next occupation evolution as it was too dangerous all the way through"(David)

After their brief talk Julius bought David a drink and they started chatting. Something seemed to be wrong with Julius as in he looked to be about to say something important one second and just feel intersecting feelings and not tell anything. After an hour of talking with Julius, Davids first impression was that Julius was one of the sweetest kids to be ever alive, he would feel bad if he mentioned anything slightly offensive to the other person, always listen and answer coherently with well thought ideas and if he couldn't come up with an idea he was totally fine with he would ask for a minute to think about it and then answer instead of just jumping in and bullshitting his way through.

Overall he was a good kid with a sweet and truthful heart that didn't want to make other people sad and he was someone who wouldn't talk on an topic just to talk on it without knowing anything about it. At one point after a few drinks David decided to ask

"So what made you approach me, and have a chat."(David)

"My first reason for approaching was"

Julius got closer to Davids ear and whispered

"I can see other people's future potentials, you are overflowing with a bright future and I just wanted to see what kind of a guy you were and I gotta say, you are one of the best coolest guys I have met ever in my life"(Julius)

"You know all the people who shone brightly were children of big families and groups but that Chad, never shone brightly, he was always as dull as any random person you would meet on the road, I guess I know why that is now."(Julius)

David was shocked by Julius' skill and wanted to know more about it while also not scaring the shit out of Julius so he decided to let the matter fall for the night. After having a few more drinks and meeting a few of the Julius' friends David left the tavern. He went back to the huge entry outpost and was just about to enter the outpost when he saw Benjamin leaving it.

"Ohho, someone seems to have had a good day huh. Don't even ask me about my day alright, I love Eabita but she is batshit crazy when it comes to some stuff. It was more of a calm day today but I still have 5-6 burn marks on my body because I git her mad. Granted I am trying to make her mad but still .... so what did you do today"(Benjamin)

David started explaining the whole story of his day.

"I see, so you made one more enemy the day you came to the city, we did not even arrive the College yet you know. It doesn't matter, out of all these people only one or two is going to actually become something and with that kind of attitude he isn't becoming anything. As for the friend you made I gotta say, I'm intrigued. I never heard of an ability like that, I know of some future sight abilities but something like this and without even using a skill, it really is intriguing."(Benjamin)

Benjamin then led David to a house near the outpost and they slept the night off. David woke up next day feeling a slight headache from the hangover and also feeling quite happy, it seemed to David that finally not being on the edge, feeling like you don't need to look out for yourself every second had made him become quite the happy little kiddy. He shrugged it off and had breakfast with Benjamin and after that, they started looking around for Julius as Benjamin also wanted to learn whether his future looked good or bad. Even if he did not believe the kids sight after seeing it on his own, he just wanted to see it.

It didn't take them long as they found Julius after 10-15 minutes as he was having breakfast and when Julius saw the duo together, he had to shield his eyes as he had basically been blinded by their combined future brightness.

"Damn, whatever you guys are trying to achieve, you will achieve without any problem but can you guys please not blind me anymore, please make distance between yourselves."(Julius)

Benjamin was pretty sold at this point as no one at level 124 could lie to him undetected and hearing this, he was excited. Benjamin had a lengthy chat with Julius about his ability and learned a lot about it while also speculating and guessing from his wide experiences also increased Julius' understanding of his own skill. After bidding farewell to Julius, David and Benjamin got ready to leave the city to head to the actual College, where David would take classes and where he would take missions, not the system missions but missions of the Adventurers guild that the College was allied with.

They got ready and waited for the 20 man carriage's departure time.
