29. The Two New Skills

David looked at the skills that were sitting there and their names were:

Explosive Power: gives the user 2 times the explosive strength for 10 minutes after the time ends the user goes into a powerless state for 2 hours that decreases the users stats by 75% except for int stat.

Dragons strength: gives the user 5 times strength for 10 minutes after the 10 minutes the user goes into a powerless state where their str stat is decreased by 90% for 2 hours.

At the back side of the note also said, these are already fused skills and fusing them further might be a bit problematic. If you use the two skills together, your str will be decreased by 95% while the rest of the stats will be reduced by 80% and the backlash will last for 16 hours instead of 2. Please use these skills with caution.

David was happy that he checked the back side of the note as he found the information on the front side a bit lacking. He learnt the skills in leas than an hour and had no idea how he could level these skills up and the books didn't mention anything about it either. He didn't just activate the skills to test it out either as he was done with his training today. David had dinner in the cafeteria with Noxaa as Julius had left the academy mid day after their talk. They mostly talked about Julius as they speculated what happened and why he went away.

David speculated that he most probably went out to somewhere he could see with potential that also didn't require a high level or full group with healers and shit. There was also group tournaments in the arena but there was only a handful of groups so the rewards was abysmally low. People that took part in it mostly did so to either sharpen their fighting techniques and skill usage or to just have fun. Noxaa tried to come up with something else but she also realized that there was not really any other options as he was an orphan and the only family he had was his mentor in the academy. She thought maybe some friends needed help but then he would definitely invite them to help as they had passed the point of not asking for help long ago.

The two kept talking about random stuff but they also felt that Julius was their conversation starter and he was also the one that carried it to some degree. They were able to talk without long weird pauses but the talk was less juicier and less fluid that it had been with Julius, had to give it to the kid he was really a talkative guy that was able to cheer everyone and make good conversation.

Before they went to their rooms Noxaa told David that she would also be out on a good paying mission for the rest of the week. David realized that hr was basically on his own for the next few days to a week. David decided to spend all his time training skills and winning fights in the arena. David also realized that he hadn't talked to Benjamin in a while too. After the dinner he went to look for Benjamin. Apparently Benjamin was out on a mission by the Academy to protect the Orowell City, as without transcendent fighters by theirs side the City would fall easily as there were many Transcendent Monsters attacking the city.

Hordes were normally not a thing but sometimes one country would send many transcendent fighters with specific items to scare and send the monsters away from their territories, this was prohibited by the United Council that had all the countries in it but powerful Empires and Kingdoms would pay a bit of money to the council for them to miss some things. This horde was probably one of such kind too, or maybe not and someone was trying to destroy the College of All, for real though it probably is just a random horde from one of the borders to the Northwest.

Learning that no one he knew well was around David finally decided to become a shut-in for the next week and grind fights in the arena while only going out to level up his skills. He also decided to try out his new skills to see how much of a power difference they would make and also to see what the backlash would be like he also decided to test them out in the arena to see if his real life body would lose stats.

David slept on all his random ideas deciding ti test out the skills tomorrow. He woke up bright and early, he did his daily routine of brushing his teeth, drinking some water, going back to bed and feeling like a shit for sitting around after 5 minuted and finally fully waking up. He started testing out his new skills, he activated the all stats one and started a fighting simulation against a level 300 human enemy in one of the academies arenas. He was shocked to see that he could basically one shot every one of the level 300 enemies without his berserk skill he could still fight them head on and win most matches but a real enemy would be hard to beat unlike the robots.

After testing out all his skills he went ahead had breakfast on his own and saw some people pointing and talking about him and some people even came and ask for autographs as people found out he was the level100Wonder. He felt some people wanted to test him out in real life but after the Chad incident they were scared to even try. His first day eating alone he realized that he didn't look or listen around a whole lot while he was with Noxaa and Julius.

He went back to his dorm and waited a bit longer for his weakened state to end and then jumped right into the arena. He arranged a fight with the 984th person even though the 981st was also available.

He made short work of his enemy as the enemy tried to do a mental attack on him and conceded right after David only took some damage and wasn't set prone.

The same day he arranged the fight with the 981st too as he didn't use any berserk skills or wasn't tired nor bored. His enemy this time was a nifty woman assassin type that was moving only slightly slower than David.

The fight started and his enemy was using some strange movement technique to make him unable to see where the hell she was. Unluckily for her, David bit had increased perception and Mana Perception. He could see right through. He decided to test out his berserk skill anyways.

"Sorry about what I'm about to do"(David)

When he said this the woman thought he was a pervert and started looking with disdain on her eyes. David used his all stat berserk skill. He punched out, the woman wasn't even able to run away even though se was constantly using her movement skill. As Davids hand reached her, he felt his hand go through her chest area all the way through her body and go out the other side, he also saw her fly a few hundred meters before hitting the barrier and falling down, they were teleported out at that instant.

David looked at his body and saw that his body was as powerful as ever and logged into the arena system to start searching for more games and realized that his virtual body was indeed suppressed, he felt slightly sad but also realized that this would have been over powered if he could use it every fight. He had another fight with the 975th and won easily after waiting the two hour penalty and logged out for the day.

He worked out some, leveled some skills up. He went to the cafeteria to eat dinner skipping lunch. He would skip lunch almost every day and order extra on dinner. He sat in a random table and started eating his food after adding some spices and herbs to the food that was available for students. They even had pomegranate syrup for students that wanted a sour but sweet taste in their salad. David had his dinner and getting hit on by some female students and being called bro by some male students he left cafeteria to return to his room.

He decided to look at the last few months of his life, he realized that he was postponing his leveling adventures because of not that convincing reasons. First he had done so to level up his skills way more than what he needed to. Secondly he decided not to level up too much not leave his peers to behind. And now thirdly this month he had postponed leveling because he basically put himself in a predicament where if he leveled up people would think lesser of him.

David didn't know why he did this, maybe the gods were playing with his mind to keep him low leveled for a bit of a longer time to squeeze content out of him for their fun and continuity of their books about heroes or maybe he was scared of leveling up because his responsibilities would increase or that he would fail his revenge. David decided that after this months arena placements he would move on and level up.
