Inside the high-class restaurant, a group of starry-eyed girls were talking in hushed tones as they kept sneaking glances at the table opposite them. A very handsome man with long-blonde hair and light-blue eyes sat in an elegant manner holding a wine cup in his hand.
He gave the young ladies staring at him a casual wink which made their faces flush to crimson.
"Did you see that? He winked at me!"
"Are you blind? Obviously, he winked at me!"
"Girls, don't fight! Have the two of you looked at the mirror lately? With both of your lips as thick as the tires of a ten-wheeler-truck do you honestly believe that he was winking at the two of you?"
"Hmph! So, are you telling us that he winked at you?"
"Of course. I didn't want to state the obvious, but since you've already said it then I have no choice but to come clean."
"Ridiculous!"
"Dream when you're asleep, not when you're awake!"
Alice swirled the wine in her winecup before taking a sip. She overheard the conversation of the young ladies and shot the elf a look of interest.
"I got to hand it to you," Alice said while raising the wine cup to salute the man sitting across her. "Your pick-up-girls skill is at MAX level."
"Jealous?" Aiden smiled as he gazed at the beautiful girl in front of him. The two of them stood out from the crowd because both of them were very good looking. While the girls were fawning over Aiden, the men were ogling Alice and it made the elf irritated.
He was very tempted to stab their eyes out with an arrow. How could they possibly look at his Master with such lecherous eyes? The only thing that was preventing him from teaching the lechers a lesson was Alice's absolute order.
Her order was "Not to harm anyone in her world unless it was a last resort."
'This is not Edea, not Edea,' Aiden reminded himself. 'Endure Aiden, endure.'
Alice was looking at Aiden with a fed up gaze until the glass door of the restaurant opened. A devilishly handsome teenager with red hair caught Alice's eye. Right beside him was a charmingly plump lady wearing a red cocktail dress. It was none other than Alex and Abbie.
Alex scanned the room and immediately found Alice who was waving at them. He lightly tugged on Abbie's hand as he guided them to join their table. The red-haired teen pulled out a chair and allowed Abbie to sit first.
The moment Abbie sat on the chair, a soft creaking sound was heard. Abbie chose to ignore it and smiled at Aiden and Alice. Alex took a seat beside Abbie and gave the two a brief nod.
Since the people they were waiting for had arrived, Alice raised her hand to call a waiter. The waiter hurriedly walked towards their table to take their orders. After taking their orders, the waiter left in haste.
Abbie wasn't used to the "classy" environment and felt out of place. She was fidgeting in her seat which earned her a few more creaking sounds, which she blatantly ignored.
"You look good in that dress, Abbie," Aiden said with a smile.
"Thank you," Abbie answered. This was the first time she wore a cocktail dress. Although she was a bit chubby, she had to admit that the dress looked good on her. Alex said it was Alice who bought the dress for her to be used on special occasions.
"How are you, Your Highness?" Alice asked with a grin. "If there's something you need, your humble retainer will accept the task gladly."
"Don't jest, Big SIster Alice," Alex waved his hand. "Also, please, don't call me Your Highness in public."
Abbie looked at Alice and Alex with an expression that said "Are the two of you drunk or something? What is this Your Highness crap that you are talking about?"
The chubby girl looked at Aiden and the elf merely gave her a helpless shrug. Alice didn't tell him anything and it seemed that only Alex was aware of their "grand plan".
Alice chuckled when she saw the look of confusion in Abbie's face. In truth, she didn't plan to tell her anything and leave it as a surprise. However, something happened which made things a bit complicated.
Unknown to Abbie, she was currently the hottest topic on the internet. Her name was trending in Doodle because of the bombshell that was seen in the comment section of X- Country's official homepage. Although the atmosphere in the private resort was serene, Abbie's personal information was spreading across the world-wide-web like wildfire.
Alice wasn't able to stop the flood of criticisms that were raining down on the unsuspecting girl in front of her for being the fiance of the Crown Prince. The blonde beauty didn't realize that the "joke" she started would turn into something big.
When their orders arrived, she was still pondering whether she should inform Abbie or not. Unfortunately, a pretty lady wearing a velvet dress and high heels walked to their table. Abbie's face froze when she recognized the girl. It was none other than the b*tch Hannah!
"Good evening, Your Highness," Hannah greeted with a smile. "Fancy meeting you here."
Although Alex was surprised, he still nodded his head in greeting. Alice told him that she was going to make him a real prince in this world. Since that was the case, he needed to act like one in order to play his role properly.
"How did you know?" Alex asked. When Hannah called him "Your Highness" there was confidence in her voice which meant she "knew" that he was a prince. He exchanged a glance with Alice and the latter nodded her head.
In truth, Alex didn't want to interact with this girl too much because he knew that his Master didn't like this girl named Hannah. However, right now, he had no choice but to acknowledge her presence because he didn't want to make a scene that would damage Abbie's image.
"Let's just say that I have my ways, Your Highness," Hannah replied. "If you'd like, I can book a private room so we could all talk in private. Of course, your friends are more than welcome to join us." She gave a side-long glance at Abbie before returning her attention at Alex.
"There's no need for that," Alex politely declined her offer. "Your name was Hannah right?"
"I'm very happy that you remembered my name!" Hannah beamed when she heard Alex speak her name. 'He remembers me!'
"Ms. Hannah, I'm having a double dinner date with my friends and fiance," Alex said in a gentle manner. "Can you please, not disturb us?"
Alex kept the smile on his face, but it never reached his eyes. Hannah bit her lower lip, but decided to back down for now. She didn't want to give a bad impression to her "future lover", so she meekly nodded her head and sat at the table next to theirs.
Abbie's lips started to twitch. She had a feeling that tonight's dinner wouldn't be a peaceful one.
