Wedding Preparations

Since Aiden and Alex sat at the same table, it was only natural for them to gather the infatuated gazes of the ladies inside the restaurant. Aiden's cold elegance, coupled with Alex's devilish looks, made their combo simply irresistible.

Aside from the girls, there were also plenty of men who were captivated by Alice's beauty. Unfortunately, Abbie didn't escape the curious gazes of the people. Although the majority of people in the restaurant were from the university, there were also foreigners that came to the resort for a vacation.

Among the good looking people seated on the table, Abbie stood out like a sore thumb. The gazes boring down on her were making her anxious. The chubby girl had always tried to be low-key. However, right now, she was the center of attention.

Abbie prayed that their orders would arrive so that they could eat and leave the restaurant to have a lengthy discussion. Also, she wanted to know more about the effects of the growth potion for future reference.

(A/N: I just noticed that all their names start with the letter A. The A Squad is now officially founded!)

At the entrance, the glass door opened and Adam walked inside the restaurant along with his friends. He was looking for an empty table when he noticed Hannah sitting alone. He recognized the girl as one of the ladies who had a crush on him.

In truth, if Yue was not in the university, Adam's target would probably be Hannah. She had the looks, the influence, and the style of a high-class woman that matched Adam's taste. He walked up to her table with a smile and made a gesture to his acquaintances to find another table.

Adam's friends had been with him for quite some time and they understood what he was planning to do. They went to an empty table and happily placed their orders. Since Adam was the one shouldering the bill, they could order anything that struck their fancy.

Adam stood in front of Hannah and gave the beautiful lady a dazzling smile. "Can I join you for dinner?

The sudden question broke Hannah out of her daze. She raised her head to look at the handsome prince of the university. This was the man she had been infatuated with ever since she enrolled at the university.

Hannah nodded her head and made a gesture for Adam to take a seat. The second most beautiful girl in the university, and the widely acclaimed prince sat together at a table. Raising his hand, Adam called for a waiter to take their order.

Hannah observed Adam very closely. If she was the same girl she had been a few days ago then she would probably be fawning over him. Although she still felt an attraction to him, it was not as strong as before.

The girl understood that the reason why she was attracted to Adam was due to his good looks and family background. If someone "better" came along then the possibility of her switching targets was very high.

She smiled wryly when she realized this fact.

'Am I really that kind of woman?' Hannah thought as she looked at Alex who was seated at the table next to theirs. 'Am I really only attracted to a person with status?'

She wanted to deny it, but deep inside her heart she knew it was true. If Alex was a nobody and not a Crown Prince, would she still be looking at him with infatuation? Would she still be head over heels for Adam?

Two simple questions, and yet she couldn't find a simple answer. She'd like to believe that this time around she was actually in love with someone, not because of their family background, but because her heart was telling her that he was the man meant for her.

However, didn't she feel the same way before with Adam? Hannah was confused. Her belief about relationships started to crumble. It was no longer a business transaction.

Adam frowned when he saw Hannah's indifference. He vividly recalled that, in the past, Hannah would look at him with starry-eyes. The girl would also create instances where the two of them could be together for lunch in the cafeteria, or other school activities.

"How are you, Hannah?" Adam asked in order to make the silent girl reply to him. He was confident in his ability to start a conversation with anyone and he would put it to good use tonight. "Are you enjoying the school trip?"

Hannah nodded her head. "Yes."

After her reply she turned her head to look at Alex one more time. Adam frowned and followed her gaze. The smile on his face became stiff when he saw Alex and Aiden sitting next to them. Feeling someone's gaze on him, Aiden turned his head to look at Adam. The elf nodded his head in greeting before shifting back his attention to his Master, Alice.

Adam then appraised the other people seated at Alex's table. He was already familiar with Abbie. When he saw Alice, his eyes widened in surprise. The reason why he was surprised was because he recognized Alice. She was the daughter of the CEO of Exodia.

In the public's eyes, Exodia was just a game company that was about to make themselves known. However, in the business world, it was a titan that had its hands nestled into various investments.

Food, fashion, games, real estate, hotel, and sports, were but a few of the business types under their wing. Only the people on top fully understood what the "Golden Sword of K-City" was all about. Adam had already seen Alice at many high-class parties. Of course, he also tried to form connections with her, but the beautiful lady always had ways to slip away from people with a similar agenda.

'Is that long haired blonde her boyfriend?' Adam mused as he observed Aiden. Based on Aiden's looks the possibility of him being Alice's lover was very high. At least, that was what Adam thought.

"Are you satisfied with my arrangements, Your Highness?" Alice asked. Her voice was only loud enough for the nearest tables to hear her.

"Very satisfied," Alex answered with a smile.

"Good," Alice nodded her head in acknowledgement. "About the wedding preparations for your fiance…"

"Pfft!" Abbie spouted the water she was drinking on Aiden's face. The elf gave the chubby girl a helpless look as he took out a handkerchief to wipe his face. Abbie could only smile apologetically for her wrongdoing.

She then turned her head to face Alice and gave her the "What the f*ck are you talking about?" glare which made the blonde beauty chuckle in delight.

"My Lady, did his Highness not tell you anything?" Alice asked with a smile.

"Sorry, I haven't told her yet," Alex answered before Abbie could say anything. "I wanted to surprise her."

"I see! In that case, I will not say anything and follow his Highness' wishes," Alice acknowledged Alex's answer.

Abbie could only turn her head to look at Aiden. Her expression was screaming "What the f*ck are these two talking about? Are they drunk?"

Aiden could only avert his gaze. He was afraid that he might not be able to stop himself from laughing out loud if he continued to look at her. Alice had already told him about the plan for this trip and forbade him to say anything to Abbie.

Adam and Hannah were paying close attention to their discussion and both of them had varying reactions.

'She called him Your Highness?' Adam frowned. 'Just who is this guy?'

'Wedding preparations for his fiance?!' Hannah exclaimed in her heart. 'He is seriously going to marry that FATTY?!'

The two people didn't know that the one who was more confused about this sudden turn of events was none other than Abbie. She was glaring at Alice as if she wanted to choke the living sh*t out of her.

The waiters took that cue to arrive and filled their table with delicious delicacies. Abbie decided to eat away her frustrations first and choke Alice later. If she only knew what Alice had done and the mess that was waiting for her back home then she would probably dig a hole for herself to hide in.

Fortunately, she didn't know, and she wouldn't know until her return to the girl's dormitory.
