Unconditional Trust

The staff of the Sea Horizon Resort were busy preparing the main event for the students of East Wood University. A middle-aged-man with short blonde hair and blue eyes walked into the longue of the resort. By his side was a beautiful lady who seemed to be in her late teens.

She had the same blonde hair as the man standing beside him. Their faces were very similar to each other. The only difference was their eye color. The lady had light-green eyes which gave her a very feminine charm.

"Is there some kind of event happening today, Father?" the beautiful lady asked.

"The students of your Aunt Mary are here for a short vacation," the man replied with a doting smile. "Tonight there is going to be a dance party hosted by our resort. Feel free to join the festivities if you like, Amanda."

"I'll think about it." Amanda nodded her head. "Papa, didn't you say that your reason for coming here was to meet with someone?"

Amanda looked at her father, Jacob, with a smile. "You can go ahead and meet with him. I've been in this resort a few times already. I'm not a little girl anymore. I promise I won't get lost."

Jacob laughed as he lovingly patted his daughter's head. "Even if you are already grown up, you're still my baby girl. Alright, don't give me that look. You can wander around, but make sure to call me if something happens, understood?"

"Papa, you're such a worrywart." Amanda chuckled. "Relax, nothing will happen to me here in our resort."

"Good," Jacob glanced at the bodyguard that was assigned to his daughter. "Zoe, I'll leave my daughter's safety in your hands."

The lady named Zoe didn't say anything, but merely nodded her head in acknowledgement. Jacob walked towards the reception area and Amanda headed towards the beach. When the manager of the hotel saw Jacob, he immediately walked towards him with an excited gaze.

"Sir, you should have told us that you were arriving," the manager bowed his head as he politely greeted the middle-aged man in front of him.

"This is a surprise inspection," Jacob laughed good-naturedly. "Since this is a surprise inspection, why would I give you time to hide the evidence?"

The manager chuckled when he heard his employer's jab. "My bad. I guess I have no choice but to step aside and allow Sir Jacob to search for the skeleton I hid in my closet."

The two men laughed together as they discussed the recent events that were happening? inside the resort.

Amanda, who was headed to the beach, was in a good mood. She had been too busy studying as of late and badly needed a break. When Jacob told her that he would be visiting one of their private resorts, she immediately grabbed the opportunity to tag along.

"Miss, should I get you a swimsuit?" Zoe asked. She was not a very sociable person. The only time she would actively initiate a conversation was when she was around Amanda.

"No." Amanda shook her head. "I'm not in the mood to swim right now."

Zoe stepped back, "Understood, My Lady."

Amanda was about to continue her stroll when she saw a chubby girl walking hand in hand with a red-haired man. At first she wasn't going to pay attention, but for some reason, she felt that the man and the girl looked familiar.

"Zoe, don't you think those two look familiar?" Amanda asked her personal bodyguard.

Zoe glanced at Abbie and Alex who were headed to the beach as well. After looking at them for a while, she too felt that they somehow looked familiar. The bodyguard tried to recall where they had seen them. Suddenly her body shuddered. It was like an electrical current slid down the back of her spine.

"My Lady, isn't that Prince Alex?!" Zoe exclaimed. "The one by his side should be his fiance."

"N-No way!" Amanda covered her mouth using her hand to prevent herself from screaming. "They're actually here in our resort?! W-What should we do? Should we tell Papa?!"

"Miss, please calm down. I'm sure that his highness has his reasons for being lowkey. We shouldn't give him unwanted attention."

"I-I see. You're right. The prince must have his reasons."

Amanda's gazed locked unto Alex and a faint blush appeared on her face. "His picture was handsome, but he's more handsome in real life."

Amanda was internally fangirling when she saw her Idol. She now truly understood how it felt to be a fan of a celebrity. If possible, she wanted to rush over to Alex to shake his hand, ask for his autograph, and request a selfie.

That way, she would be able to brag to her friends that she had met the Prince in real life!

"My Lady, do you want to meet him?" Zoe asked. "Perhaps I can approach him and schedule a meeting?"

"Oh! Please! Can you also put in a good word for me?" Amanda blushed as she tugged Zoe's arm. "I want to leave a good first impression."

"You can rest assured, My Lady." Zoe patted her chest. "I will do my best."

-----

Abbie half dragged Alex towards the beach. She forbade him from stripping off his shirt to showcase his gorgeous body for everyone to see. The chubby girl had finally accepted Alex as her future boyfriend so she was being very over-protective of her fiance.

Although she was still a bit hesitant, she decided to wait until they were back in K-City to have a heart to heart talk with her Little Hero. Since the description of the potion said that Alex would not remember anything that happened during the duration of its effects then she needed to have this talk after he returned to normal.

Abbie was worried that the little boy and his grown-up self didn't share the same feelings for her.

"You don't need to hurry," Alex said as he allowed himself to be pulled by Abbie. "The beach won't be going anywhere."

"This is our last day here," Abbie replied in a casual manner. "I plan to enjoy it to the fullest."

While the two were talking, a lady wearing a black suit and black shades approached them from behind.

"Excuse me!"

Abbie and Alex turned their head to look at the lady who seemed to be in her early twenties. The two exchanged glances as if asking each other if they know who she was. Zoe saw their confused expressions and immediately introduced herself.

"Sorry for disturbing the two of you," Zoe bowed his head in apology. "My name is Zoe, and I am a bodyguard of Lady Amanda. Can I please have some of your time, Your Highness?"

Alex narrowed his gaze and appraised the girl in front of him. The only ones who knew that he was a "Prince" were Abbie, Alice, and Aiden.

"Don't call me his Highness," Alex said in a low voice. "At least, not now."

"U-Understood," Zoe answered with her head bowed. "T-Then sir, could you please spare us some time. My Young Lady wishes to shake ha-, I mean, get your auto-, no your self-."

Zoe stuttered. Alex was exuding such an overbearing presence that, even someone as highly trained as she felt oppressed. She knew that the person in front of her was not someone that could be trifled with so she was being extra respectful in her tone.

Abbie frowned when she heard Zoe's words.

She glanced in the direction Zoe was hinting at and saw a blonde beauty looking at them with a flushed face. The chubby girl placed her hand on Alex's waist and used her meaty fingers to pinch it.

Alex could only smile as he endured the ticklish feeling of Abbie's jealousy. The red-haired teen understood that Zoe and her Lady Amanda only wanted to meet with him. They didn't have any malicious intent so Alex felt that it wasn't a big deal to accept their request.

"Alright. I agree," Alex said with a smile. "However, after this meeting, please do not disturb us any more. Understood?"

"Yes!" Zoe happily nodded her head. She was wondering if she could also shake hands with Alex, get his autograph, and take a selfie with him. Abbie watched Zoe's expression with a pout. However, she didn't stop Alex.

She knew that Alex only had eyes for her. Even if you placed the most beautiful woman in the world in front of him, he wouldn't give a fart. Since Alex had full faith in her, the least she could do was trust him. After all, a relationship would only work if both parties trusted each other unconditionally.
