Aiden’s Dilemma

"How do I look?"

"Handsome, but not as handsome as me."

"If you're that handsome then why are you not making any progress with Big Sister Alice?" Alex teased Aiden who was seated on the couch.

"Cheap shot," Aiden snorted in disdain. "If it wasn't for Alice then your relationship with Abbie would have stayed the same."

"That's why I am very thankful for Big Sister Alice. Without her, I wouldn't have made any progress."

"If you're thankful then why don't you help me get closer to Alice?"

The two heroes bickered as Alex finished zipping the Stylish Court Prince, black and gold blazer jacket that was befitting of a man of his station. The blazer jacket was very comfortable and Alex really liked the embroidery design.

Since he was already wearing the matching black pants and shoes, he had more time to carefully observe himself in front of the mirror. What he saw was a stunning young man with red hair and green eyes that would make any girl fall helplessly in love with him.

Alex was not a narcissist, but he was confident that Abbie would be in a daze after he saw him in his attire. Even Aiden had to admit that Alex looked really good right now. Of course, the elf believed that he was still a notch higher when it came to good looks. After all, he was once hailed as the most handsome man under the heavens.

"You want me to give you advice about how to get closer to Big Sister Alice?" Alex asked as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Actually the answer for this is really simple."

"Oh?" Aiden raised an eyebrow at Alex's confident words. "Go on, I'm listening."

Alex smiled as he said, "Big Sister Alice likes cute boys."

"And?" Aiden asked with a frown.

"You're not cute," Alex said matter-of-factly.

Aiden's face darkened at Alex's comment, but he couldn't refute his words because it was true. Alex saw the elf's expression became grim so he decided to throw him a lifeline.

"Abbie didn't see me as a romantic partner because I was too young," Alex started to explain. "Since that was the case, Big Sister Alice gave me a growth potion to match my Master's preference. The keyword here is Potion."

"You mean to say…" Aiden was not dumb. Alex had already stated the case perfectly and the elf understood that message he wanted to point out. Since Alice didn't like mature looking men and prefers cute boys then all he needed to do was to use a potion that would make him a little kid again!

Aiden immediately opened the GGS APP and browsed the Potion Shop for the potion he was looking for.

"It really exists," Aiden said as he looked at the potion on his mobile screen. "Youth Potion."

"There we go," Alex chuckled. "All you need to do is purchase that and spend some quality time with Big Sister Alice."

The smile on Aiden's face widened, but it suddenly disappeared after a few seconds. He covered his face with a palm as he returned the mobile phone inside his pocket.

"What's wrong?" Alex asked. "Is it that expensive?"

"The price isn't the problem," Aiden replied through gritted teeth. "The problem is that, since I will turn into a kid, I won't be able to do it with her…"

It took a few seconds for Alex to understand what Aiden was talking about. The red-head young man shot Aiden a pitiful look before looking back at his reflection on the mirror. He fully understood that an eight-year-old was incapable of doing very intimate things with the person they liked because their body was not yet fully developed!

"I-Is there any other way?" Aiden asked. He was hoping that Alex would be able to come up with a solution to the problem.

"Sorry, but no." Alex raised his hands in surrender. "My advice is just to build your relationship from scratch. Let your 'kiddy self' worm his way inside Alice's heart. Perhaps, she would change her views after some time."

Aiden carefully listened to Alex's words and thought that it was very reasonable. Building a relationship took time and he was willing to invest his time to find his happiness. He was an elf. A year or two to form a close relationship with Alice was not a long time for him.

Alex checked the watch on his wrist. It was fifteen minutes before six in the evening. The staff of the hotel had made an announcement that there would be a one hour delay because the venue was still being prepared.

Instead of six, the ballroom party would start at seven in the evening. The students didn't mind the short delay because they, too, needed more time to make themselves more presentable. The hotel had gone all out to offer its services to everyone. The ladies were able to rent dresses, and the men were able to rent suits suitable for the occasion.

Everyone understood that this was a very good opportunity to attract the opposite gender. If they got lucky then after the trip was over, they would be able to boast to their friends that they were now in a relationship and no longer single!

The minutes passed ever so swiftly like the sand inside an hourglass. Soon, an announcement came through the hotel's speakers. A sultry male voice announced that the ballroom was now open.

Aiden received a call from Alice telling him to wait for her signal before sending Alex to the venue.

"Understood," Aiden said in acknowledgement. "I'll arrange everything on my end."

"Good. I'll call you back soon," Alice replied just before she ended the call.

Aiden glanced at the confident looking Alex and passed along Alice's message.

"Abbie is currently on her way to the venue. We will go after Alice gives us the signal."

Alex gave a nod of understanding. He was really looking forward to seeing Abbie right now. He wanted to hold her, he wanted to talk to her, he wanted to make sure she knew how much he loved her.

The stage had been set. All he needed to do was play his part and give Abbie a night that she would remember for years to come.

A few years into the future, Abbie would reminisce about the events that happened on their last night at the resort. A sweet and lovely smile would appear on her face each time it happened. Alex, who had no memory of what happened during that night, felt regretful.

They say that ignorance was bliss, and this was very true for this occasion. If he only knew what happened on that night, he would feel so embarrassed that he would dig a hole and bury himself inside it!
