Seniors Versus Juniors (6)

Each of them intercepted someone. Xiao Yan and Hui Yin stopped casting explosive spells to avoid friendly fire. They resorted to single-target spells to provide support.

Hui Yin wanted to lure Xiao Yan to fight her alone. Xiao Yan knew she doesn't stand a chance as battles of Spell Cultivators were heavily reliant on their Cultivation Level. She made sure to always stay close with her group.

Seeing that her lure failed, she proceeded to stack 'Water Bomb' Spells until there were five of them. This was noticed by Xiao Yan so she prepared 'Fire Bolt' spells to counter it.

"Bombard!" Hui Yin yelled as she launches all of the spells.

Xiao Yan also sent hers to intercept while also shouting, "Retreat, defensive formation!"

The seniors disengaged and jumped back away from their opponents. The juniors then gathered in a semi-circle, surrounding Xiao Yan.

Only two 'Water Bomb' spells exploded mid-air. The rest went towards the group. Mu Yue and Li Jie launched 'Pulse Blade' techniques and intercept two more while Fei Hong jumped toward the last one to avoid it damaging the others. He has a shield so he wasn't too affected by it.

"This shield is effective!" exclaimed Fei Hong when he didn't take too much damage from blocking the spell.

Both of the teams quickly fought each other again. This time, Xiao Yan told them to increase the gaps between each other. She then observed the battlefield while giving out commands.

"Move back Mu Yue, you are getting too far. Shields, push them back! Li Jie is that all you can do?! So be it, go near the shields!"

This series of commands made Hui Yin confused. 'Why would she shout her commands? We would then know what they will do...'

It was then she noticed the positioning of each fighter. She then shouted, "Jian Yun fall back!"

"Time for the counter-attack!" Xiao Yan yelled. Li Jie disengaged with Cheng Boqin and went towards Jian Yun. Cheng Boqin wanted to follow but was blocked by Zheng Peng.

Fei Hong and Zheng Peng were currently blocking the three seniors. Their positioning made it so that Jian Yun was currently split off from the group.

Mu Yue and Li Jie quickly initiated their techniques. Xiao Yan also concentrated on attacking Jian Yun, adamant on eliminating him as fast as possible.

Hui Yin provided some assistance to Jian Yun. She launches her spell towards the two, covering Jian Yun's retreat.

It was then that Fei Hong and Zheng Peng tossed their shields towards their seniors and went towards Jian Yun, blocking his way.

Zheng Peng blocks Jian Yun's retreat while Fei Hong intercepts the spells.

The other three seniors were slowed down by some seconds as they couldn't dash forward because the shields were coming towards them.

Mu Yue and Li Jie continued their attack while Zheng Peng jumped towards the three seniors.

"Heavy Slam"

He landed in front of them and he hits the ground. Some shockwaves were produced that slowed down the seniors. He quickly retreated as he knows he might get targeted instead.

"Ah too much! A whole team targetting me. Can't you get any more shameless?" Jian Yun wasn't that good at defense. He couldn't dodge nor block well because he was surrounded.

"Just paying back the favor!" Xiao Yan said as she keeps on launching her spells.

Hui Yin then decided that rescuing Jian Yun will have a low possibility of succeeding, hence she decided to make him as bait. She then launched multiple 'Water Bomb' towards Jian Yun's position. Of course, she also smirked when she did this.

Xiao Yan saw this and yelled, "Abandon him! Attack the three seniors!"

Jian Yun was confused with their movements. It was then he saw multiple 'Water Bomb' spells coming towards him in the corner of his eyes.

"Oh shit!" Jian Yun cursed as he braced for impact.

Meanwhile, the juniors also got hit by the attack. They quickly recovered from getting knocked back as they engaged with the other three seniors. Xiao Yan was also stacking multiple 'Fire Ball' spells.

Jian Yun survived the friendly attack. Before he can restore his diminishing aura, Xiao Yan launched all of her spells towards him.

"I hate Spell Cultivators!!!" Jian Yun shouted before getting eliminated.

Although they successfully eliminated one, Fei Hong and Zheng Peng had to abandon their shields. Their seniors won't let them get close to pick it up so they had no choice but to give up on it. The others also used a lot of energy so they needed some time before doing the same thing again.
