Junior's Tournament (9)

She had to wait for the other contestants to get the second and third places before they declared her as the winner. The reward for the competition would be given tomorrow, at the same time with the other winners. She finally was able to go back to her group after all of this.

She was congratulated by her schoolmates for getting the first rank. Liu Yang also approached her.

"Congratulations on winning the competition, Xiao Yan."

"T-thank you." Xiao Yan did say that she will avoid Liu Yang but it would be rude to ignore her when she was already here. Besides, Liu Yang did nothing wrong so she could at least reply back.

She then saw Mu Yue and grinned. She won so she could give a command to Mu Yue once. And there was still Mu Yue's personal reward! She will no longer need to waste one for that.

Mu Yue saw this and quickly said, "Yes, you won and could command me once. No need to mention it. As for bathing with me, you decide when to do it."

"You beat me to it. Anyway, how come you didn't get embarrassed or something similar when you said those." Xiao Yan wondered. She wanted to tease her again but after seeing this, she now might need another topic to use.

"Ah? W-well I got used to these topics as you kept on repeating them. Maybe I became immune to it hahaha." Mu Yue replied. She couldn't just say that she was looking forward to it, right? Good thing her face didn't show it or Xiao Yan might have teased her again.

"Tsk, well I'll just make sure to improve my skills then… " Xiao Yan silently said.

She wondered if there would be a day when Mu Yue got used to all her shenanigans. She quickly diminished this thinking as she loved making Mu Yue blush and not being able to do that would be horrible.

It was the competition for blacksmiths and their schoolmate who will represent their school went to the middle platform. The student was a weapon cultivator and his primary weapon was a hammer.

Blacksmithing was heavily reliant on the user having strong physical capabilities. A reason why no spell cultivators could become a blacksmith. They couldn't just form an item using only their spiritual energy as they still have to manually do the steps.

They need to heat the metals using the spiritual fire. Then the steps for normal blacksmithing. The difference is that after shaping the metals to what they desired, they have to create the spiritual lines (where the energy of a cultivator pass through) while it was hot. The lines were not visible unless a user injects some spiritual energy to it. After creating the spiritual lines, only then could they proceed into tempering the sword as well as sharpening it more.

Failing the creation of the spiritual lines will make the item useless. They could still try to recycle the metals if possible but they had to do it all over again. Different grade of materials will have different capability on handling the spiritual lines.

Normally, more lines equals to better quality but there were also other reasons for a better quality. The most common reason would be the compatibility of the spiritual line's design to the materials and the item. Of course, the skill of the blacksmith and the grade of the materials also matters for creating a good equipment.

As for their schoolmate who competed, he lost. He managed to reach the 4th place but its difference from getting third was a lot.

Their school earned 100 points for the competitions for the auxiliary professions. The points were not enough to get the first place and instead they tied with another school for second place.

It was still early to decide/guess which school has the highest chance of becoming the first place overall. There were still many more competitions that could reap more points.

Still, this increased the pressure on the other. Another reason for Mu Yue to win her own competition.

"Good Luck to you, Mu Yue!" Xiao Yan said.

"Thanks, I'll make sure to win my battle." Mu Yue said back.

For her, as the principal's daughter, it was her responsibility to get the school the first place. One thing she could do to make her father proud. To also carry the burden and lessen the pressure on the others.
