Failure

Mu Yue was currently experiencing extreme coldness. It was the start of the real tests. Frost started to appear on her body. Even so, this did not cause her to shiver.

'Endure Mu Yue! It has just started and I'm sure there will be more. This is nothing.' Mu Yue thought to herself.

On the outside, it was so cold that Xiao Yan was already feeling it despite covering herself with spiritual energy.

"If you can't endure it, go farther away from her. This will just get worse, Xiao Yan." Zhi Li suggested.

Unknown to them, Mu Yue was experiencing her body changing. Her old cells were being removed as new ones were created. Her whole body was experiencing so much pain that she can no longer think anything but rather yell in pain.

"AGHHHHHHHH"

With her yell, the temperature continued to drop. Not just the ground, even the air was already in the negatives. Xiao Yan could no longer endure it so Zhi Li had to stand in front of her and also cover her with his energy.

"This was already more than what one might experience when advancing to a celestial. Will it continue to get painful for her in the long run?"

"Hahh… is there anything you could do to help her?" Xiao Yan asked. Now she knows she can't bear to see her lover in pain. This also removed her thinking that she would like inflicting this kind of pain to Mu Yue.

The temperature no longer continued to decrease but this did not mean that Mu Yue's cries of pain stopped. She continued so long that her voice was already hoarse.

The cries of pain stopped as Mu Yue collapsed to the ground. The process was finished but the frost have yet to disappear.

Xiao Yan wanted to run to her when she was stopped by the principal.

"What?! It's already finish so I must accompany her." Xiao Yan exclaimed.

The principal mocked her, "Do you want to accidentally disturb her? Although it looks like it is already over, we are not sure. At least wait until the frost clears up."

The frost slowly dissapears. The temperature going back to normal. Mu Yue also regained control of her body as she sit, and slowly stood up. It was not easy to do so as her body was new.

"Mu Yue, is it done?" Xiao Yan asked.

Mu Yue nodded. Seeing this, Xiao Yan ran towards her and hugged her tightly.

"Good… I did not know that it would be that painful for you."

Mu Yue struggled. She feels like a doll since it took a lot of strength to even stand and being tightly hugged was squishing her.

Xiao Yan saw this and apologized, "S-sorry"

She let go of Mu Yue but instead of remaining to stand, she slowly falls so Xiao Yan caught her in an embrace.

The principal sensed her condition. He then checked Mu Yue and grimaced, "She failed… there isn't even any energy left in her body. This means that she will no longer be able to cultivate."

"T-that can't be true!" Xiao Yan cried out.
