Chapter 14-2

"Are you alright? Did they manage to hurt you?" I asked him.

"No, thank you for coming before they could hurt me." He told us as we walked out of the room. "Ash, please don't tell your brother about this. I slipped up today and I don't want him worrying."

"Slip up means taking drugs or booze, and that was not slipping up that we walked in on." I told him after he started walking by himself. "What the fuck was that? He targeted you and it sounds like this was not the first time."

"Look, I made mistakes before and I can't try to hide them but I know that the past cannot be changed. I messed up and Achilles got to me today, and this is a mistake that I am not planning to repeat." His whole body language started to shift to more of a nervous person rather than his regular proud stance. "Just please don't mention this to Alexander, he would just get upset and try to hurt himself to protect me."

I was about to argue with him until he used the name Alexander rather than Snowflake. I have never heard him call my brother anything other than Snowflake my whole life.

"Okay, I will not tell him on two conditions." I told him and he stayed quiet to hear me. "One, you will tell the three of us what happened between you and Achilles, when you are ready. It sounds like something that happened last year but no one wants to tell us." He nodded his head to agree with the first condition. "Two, if you are worried about some of the bullies head straight to one of us; we can see how many of our classes are close to each other."

"Okay, I agree to your terms. Just give me a bit more of time; it is still a bit too soon for me to open up that old wound."

I just nodded my head as we walked into the dining hall and walked to our group. Florence had the brown cat again and it was sitting on her lap. Professor Manx was still absent from the teacher's table. Nova was on the other side of the table leaning away from Flo's cat. We started to take our seats and Viktor was looking around for Alex. I watched as he saw Alex walking up and his wings started to twitch in excitement.

"Snowflake!" He practically tackled my brother as he sat down. "I've missed you!"

I was smiling as Viktor laid his head on the crook of Alex's neck. I could tell that he was acting even more clingy than usual and Alex noticed as well because he pulled him closer.

"So, whose duty is it tomorrow to get food?" Bruce asked as he sat down with the tray of drinks.

"Ash and anyone who volunteers." Lewis replied as he sat down with one tray of food.

Anna sat down next to him with the other tray of food.

"Guy decides to play a joke by bringing everyone blood once and gets banned for life." Bram grumbled at everyone.

"I thought it was funny." I told him as I reached for the food.

"You are dating so everything he says is funny to you." Anna told me.

"That is not true, I make jokes all the time, and he almost never laughs. I'll even show you." He turned to Alex. "Hey Snowflake, knock knock."

"Who's there?"

"A knocking kiss."

"I'll knock you upside the head."

Viktor stopped talking and then he started laughing.

"I tried to make a joke and you made one instead!"

The rest of us just shook our heads at the two of them. However, we were all surprised when Alex grabbed his shirt and pulled him into a kiss. He flipped us off as they continued and then Flo covered my eyes.

"There are children present!" I tried to get her hands off my eyes. "You two are having sex with clothes on."

"Gross!" I finally got her hands off. "Now I have a disgusting image of them having sex stuck in my head. I could handle the two of them kissing."

Viktor picked that moment to pick up Alex, without breaking the kiss, and they walked out together. I was smiling as we continued talking about random school things. I stopped paying attention as I leaned my head against Bram's shoulder. He started to pet between my ears and I leaned into his touch. It was sweet and peaceful and I felt happy for starting school here.
