Chapter 5: Another life

Luther bent down. For him, it was his fault that Laila died. She wouldn't be in this situation if she didn't get hit by his car.

Luther's daddy and mommy did not follow him to the hospital because they did not like Laila. For them, Laila is a hindrance to their plans.

Last year they planned to marry their son, Luther, to Sofia, the daughter of the Lopez couple. But then, their only son rebelled against them.

They explained to Luther that they needed to merge their business with the Lopez's so that they could become more powerful.

But he did not listen to them and focused his attention on Laila and his study. He also left their house and moved into his condominium.

His mother could not bear the loss of Luther so she herself approached the Lopez's and said she would withdraw their plan.

The Lopez's did not like Mrs. Han's decision. So they ordered their daughter, Sofia, to stay close to Luther.

Sofia looks beautiful; in fact, she is one of the international models that's why many people know her.

And as she keeps on following Luther wherever he goes, there have been a lot of rumors that they are in a relationship, they're trending worldwide.

And the Lopez family loves it. They even hired a man to capture some pictures that are romantically pleasing to the eyes of the people. And anonymously spread it to the industry.

When Luther turns 25 years old, they will pass their family business onto him, but he still has to wait for 6 years.

The nurses were about to remove the tubes attached to Laila when the engine suddenly rang again. Shock is all written on their face.

It's a miracle. It's rare for someone who just died and then suddenly comes back to life.

A smile crept up on Luther's lips 'She is indeed a survivor.' She died for 5 minutes.

He doesn't completely know Laila, but he already feels at home around her. She is the only one who can tame the beast inside him.

The doctors and nurses left the room; it was only Luther who's left.

'I guess I'll just celebrate my birthday here, '

Luther was about to stand up to get something to eat when suddenly Laila's hand twitched.

Luther was panicking. He doesn't know what to say to the lady. Laila slowly opened her eyes.

This year Laila will make her debut. In recent years, Laila has become even more beautiful; a pointed nose, rosy cheeks, kissable lips and the most attractive features- her foxy eyes.

Laila closed her eyes again because of extreme pain. She wasn't used to these surroundings. After her eyes finally stopped hurting, she looked around the room.

Her throat was so dry that she could not speak because it hurt. Luckily, Luther takes the initiative to give her a glass of water.

"Where am I?" Laila broke the silence. Why can't she remember a single thing? She can't even remember her own name.

"You're here at Han's Hospital" Luther tried his best to be formal in front of her. He doesn't want to scare her.

Laila looked around the room. White walls, a big flat-screen TV in front of her, in short - it's just like a house.

She forced herself to stand up, but unfortunately, her body was still very weak and Luther also stopped her. She didn't know why she was in the hospital and wearing a white gown.

'What happened to me?'

She was so confused, which pushed her to search for her whole being in her mind. When she did that, her head hurt. She clasped her head.

The doctor injected something on her. Suddenly the lids of her eyes became heavy, and it took her to the dark world.

"What's going on with her?" Luther glances at Laila before turning his gaze back to the doctor.

The doctor took her nurse's pad." Based on our observation, she had temporary amnesia. What happened to her earlier was because of her insistence on remembering her past." The doctor gave him a prescription of medicines. He went out first to buy the listed drugs at the pharmacy.

Sofia was on her way to Han's family home when she suddenly saw Luther at a pharmacy. She immediately stopped her car and immediately got off to approach Luther.

'You will be mine soon, Luther... just wait' Sofia said in her mind. She really loves Luther because his rejection of their proposal to marry her overwhelmed her.

Sofia does not know the reason why does the man rejected her because there is nothing missing from her. She is a full package. She wonders why he is in the pharmacy, which is in fact it's his birthday today.

When she got closer, she immediately wrapped her arm around his waist. It surprised Luther. The surrounding people screamed and some other people started taking pictures of them. Luther did not like it so much which is why he removed her arm.

It's crystal clear in Sofia's eyes that she's hurt by what Luther did, but even so, she pressed her body closer to him.

"Please love me, give me a chance to prove my love for you, Luther." She just whispered what she said to Luther so that no one else could hear it. In people's eyes, they are so sweet.

"You already know my answer there," Luther replied harshly to her and pushed her hard. Sofia stumbled across the street. It surprised everyone, they thought they loved each other so much, then why did Luther push Sofia away?

Sofia's eyes and cheeks heat in extreme embarrassment. Luther left her there like garbage. Sofia stood up to follow the man. She could not allow him to just hit her, then leave.

She walked slowly because her heels were broken. She waited for Luther to enter a private room and then slowly entered. She saw a woman lying on the bed.

'So this is what you are busy with.' Sofia did not like what she knew. She did everything. She had been paying attention to Luther for a long time, and then the only person who could beat her was a patient who had been lying in bed for too long?

She left the room. She could not bear to see Luther take care of the woman. If she stayed there long, she might not control herself and hurt the woman. And she knew that if she did that, Luther would get further away from her and that is what she did not want to happen.
